How do I get george to attack a target with coords?
admiki replied to skypickle's topic in DCS: AH-64D
You slave him to that TSD point (short consent to fire press) and then order TADS LOS search (long down). Select target from the list as you were doing before and that's it. -

I think its an issue with pimax play (PP) and Mbuccha's quadviews. I cant get native PP quadviews to run past 30fps but cant get PP to run DCS reliably with Mbuccha quadviews which gives me around 80 to 90 fps. Am working on this. Thanks!

Hello- I just purchased the Germany map, and when I loaded in, I found strange artifacts in my VR headset, mainly a dark line that goes across my line-of-sight and things get smeary below it. On my monitor, you can see the dot pattern thats everywhere. This only seems to happen on this map, though I've only also tested the Caucuses map, but in there everything looks and works fine. After extensive testing of different settings, it seems to be tied to pixel density. Anything above 1.0 causes this (I typically run at 1.3 as the cockpit is too blurry to see everything in my Q3). It happens regardless of whether this is set in game settings or oculus link. The only semi-workaround I've found is to set PD to 1.0 in game and the link app, and use the debug tool to increase PPD, however this results in jagged edges, shimmering everywhere, and basically like an old TV with the sharpening knob turned as high as it will go; blurry, but with definition. Any tips, advice? Is this a bug? If so, is this known about so it can be fixed? I haven't been able to find any discussions about it and at this point I either have to deal with the artifacts and smearing or everything being slightly blurry, and neither one is really a good solution. Cheers

Feel free to provide the devs with the guidance details. It will improve the simulation for sure. Otherwise it ends with "Probably" and "I don't think". -
Is the D9 the best kept secret in Warbird Simming?
kablamoman replied to Stevecat's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
If you really like the D9’s flight model compared to the K4, I’d highly encourage you to give the free TF-51 module a try, and if you like it, to fork out some cash for the P-51. I think the FM is even better than the D9, and one of the best available for any sim. The Mustang and Dora are my two favorite of the DCS warbird offerings. -
Train Deactivation was working Perfectly in the DCS ST Version. I gave very detailed information about the problems of Deactivation not working way back in the trial MT Version. Its great that some other problems were fixed - the wobbling catapiller train movements are fixed and the wheels not turning are fixed. Then they just removed the ST version. So any Train you add to a mission in the MT Version cannot be removed. Trains of many wagons or coaches eat up resources if not able to be removed when their journey is over. This means you could end up with 10 trains all sitting on top of each other at the busy London Terminus Stations. If you deactivate them they do dissapear from the F10 Map. However they sail off over the City in the game view to a never ending destination. Just needs the MT coding looked at im sure its a small glitch.

Incorrect/unrealistic method of guiding anti-aircraft missiles
HFXLegion replied to HFXLegion's topic in Weapon Bugs
I consider this to be an extremely important omission, as I am improving the HighDigitSAMs mod, whose name speaks for itself here What is the point of the S-300PMU-2 with a range of 200 km if the pilot's RWR immediately starts warning about the launch? The same applies to the Patriot PAC-2 from CurrentHill, which, apparently, will sooner or later be added to the game following the current asset pack. -

hello have you cleared your metadata2 and fxo folders? maybe run a slow repair? also. doubt it will matter but change your shortcut to E:\DCS World\bin\ \bin-mt\ will be eventually deprecated. edit: 2025-08-27 18:24:20.265 INFO EDCORE (11060): E:\DCS World\bin-mt\metaShader.dll is the crashing DLL.

Incorrect/unrealistic method of guiding anti-aircraft missiles
Northstar98 replied to HFXLegion's topic in Weapon Bugs
Both systems have a purely command-guided midcourse phase (which doesn't involve the missile's seeker at all) and a terminal TVM phase (which is otherwise identical to SARH but the missile data links what it sees back to the FCR and the FCR in turn provides steering commands, instead of the missile generating its own steering commands as with SARH). Mad_Shell's thread on the subject had more detail. This issue though also applies to the RIM-66M-2 SM-2MR Block IIIA and the RIM-156A SM-2ER Block IV, which do use command guidance + terminal SARH (the initial, command-guided phase doesn't appear to be modelled and launch warnings appear from launch - if it were consistent with current ARH missiles, that launch warning should only happen in the terminal phase). -
It's not the users who deal with the bug reports. I don't get why would you care about it. If anything it gives devs a chance to brag about how realistic the simulation is!

Hi Badger great Compaign so far. However, I am unable to proceed at M07. After taxi clearance, I receice the message from Tower "Good Morning You'll be following Pala, Hold Position." But Pala does not appear. He is waiting behind a vehicle and is not moving. What can I doch?

Hi, LetMePickThat. I'm glad to see that the creators of this mod are still interested in its future 1, 2. Do you want me to remove the Aster-15 and Aster-30 Block 2 launchers from the mod? 2) The new model was rotated 90 degrees, causing the radar to look sideways at the target. I have already fixed the problem with 9S32 by replacing the model with an older one by ERO. Still, it would be nice to get the source models for 3DS Max. For example, the SA-22 Pantsir-SM has a problem with the mounting points of the guns, which caused them to rise above the sight and resulted in uncontrollable recoil. I “fixed” it by manually specifying the offset of the sight, guns, and launchers along the XYZ axes relative to the center of the turret. 3) Are you talking about the SAMP/T command and control point (C2)?

HFXLegion started following Incorrect/unrealistic method of guiding anti-aircraft missiles

Currently, the S-300PS and Patriot air defense systems in the game have an unrealistic missile guidance system. In reality, many systems guide their missiles according to the following principle: during the main flight phase, the missile is guided using command guidance or track-via-missile (TVM), switching to SARH a few seconds before reaching the target. In the game, however, all such air defense systems use SARH (semi-active radar homing) throughout the entire guidance trajectory of the missile. The current implementation of TVM does not involve switching to semi-active radar guidance in the final stage of flight. Is the D9 the best kept secret in Warbird Simming?
Kang replied to Stevecat's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Not so sure about it being much of a secret, but the FW-190D9 surely is one of the most capable German planes of the war. Probably a lot less guesswork and what-if involved in the module as well, compared to some others. While I haven't had the chance to give it a spin myself yet, I always thought, though, that the F4U in its tactical employment could be considered a bit of a Pacific FW190. That might sound bizarre, so let me explain: they are both quite nimble, mostly in roll and not in circle radius, they both excel at going fast and climbing away from danger, and they both boast devastating firepower, compared to the sturdiness of their respective targets. Overall I find the warbird experience in DCS a bit lackluster on the whole, though, especially considering its comparably high step of entrance.
