Fact-check on "Force IPD Distance"
ChariotOfFLAME replied to actually_fred's topic in Virtual Reality
Yeah, I’ve noticed the smallness too. Most evident in places I’ve actually been like London and Paris. but the jets are the correct size, right? Or are they too small as well? -
JAS 39C Gripen Community Mod
inZane replied to whisky.actual's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
The most current version of the mod has Rudel-Chw's training missions as part of the mod package, so a separate download is not required.- 489 replies

In addition to the NS430 module, I also purchased the 3D extension for the Mig29A, but it doesn't display either as a popup or as a 3D model in the cockpit. All checkboxes are checked in the options, and the modules are also installed via the module manager. To test it, I loaded the Gazelle, and everything works perfectly. If I switch to the Mig29A, neither the popup nor the 3D model is displayed.

correct as-is Cockpit is in knots and feet in russian cockpit
Derbysieger replied to Badger1-1's topic in Wish List
Yes, change the units in the gameplay settings to metric. Imho this needs to be changed asap. Binding it to the native avionics option or putting it in the special options tab as a separate option are acceptable solutions to me. The units set in general gameplay options shouldn't effect cockpit instruments of individual modules. -
Don't see anything there either. So any pointers are welcome! Using the same AGM65D on other aircraft like the A-10 they have a much better picture.
-
So, can it be set it to metric?
-
I have the same problem, and I use an FFB joystick as well (not sure if that is the reason of this issue).

No rush sir - only at your time & convenience. In the meanwhile thank you for the skinpacks for our Long Tall Sally

It's in your Saved Games folder. You may need to MAKE it. I can't remember if it was there with a fresh install. I can look where mine is if you'd like. -Ryan

Thanks for the idea, can't seem to locate that file.

Feedback Thread - Viggen Patch Sept 17th 2025
dsc106 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Love that you guys are still working on this, its a wonderful module. Thank you! Also a user request (prayer?) - your other modules come with some bundled campaigns and mini-campaigns. Here's begging for a Heatblur Kola map campaign for the beloved Viggen! -
Does anyone know why the RPM gauge is labelled using the latin alphabet? I have found photos of the real cockpit where this is also the case and I find it very odd as everything else seems to still use the Cyrillic alphabet. Was the MiG-29A really delivered from factory with the RPM gauge labelled like this or is that a later addition?
-
Loaded up and I too was blown away. Excellent, excellent update. Thank you Specter Studios, you are a class act. This map has come a very long way and this new update takes it to top tier quality. I'm loving it now.

Mods causing a ctd on dcs launch now. "WARNING EDOBJECTS (Main): lTypeObjectManager::Create() doesn't exist."

Amazing work! The pilot camera FOV has a strange fisheye thing going on. It's cooked into the module, as none of my other DCS modules do this (and I own all of them). I'm getting nauseous just sitting in the plane on the ground. Can we get an option to change this? Thanks! -Ryan

Trimming Force Feedback Stick and no negative elevator authority.
Psifire replied to Psifire's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yikes, wow, that's an actual flight characteristic? I thought this thing was supposed to be nimble? Having almost no authority in half of one of it's primary control axis is not something I would expect in a nimble fighter. At least I don't have to worry about redouts, Mig-29 doesn't have enough negative nose authority to cause one I guess. Not marking solved because I still think there is something wonky with FF and trim forces, at least with my Sidewinder FF2. -
Fantastic work @Flappie - thank you very much! While a very late reply, I felt it was overdue to say it. I forwarded your request to the team.

Long start times from desktop to main menu
miguelaco replied to Simicro's topic in Game Performance Bugs
I'm aware of that change, but we're talking here (at least I am) of loading times from desktop to main menu. In my case, once in the menu the sim runs smooth with no excessive loading times, before and after the patch. -
Hey Everyone! Time to start shipping what we've been working on this summer; starting this patch with a large upgrade to the DCS: AJS-37 Viggen! From here, we're setting our sights on launching the AI Intruder and Early -A in the next patch. This large Viggen update overhauls and enhances many core and fundamental systems. The biggest highlight is the new electrical system, bringing a host of new warnings and failures, circuit-breaker functionality, instrument fault indications, improved RAT and AC/DC failure modelling, and more. We’ve also fixed the issue preventing RB-24 and RB-74 missile lock ons — our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. Additional improvements include an updated RWR and database, restored KB automatic mode, major fixes to the RUTA display, and refinements to instruments, cartridge and WP management and more. In all, this update delivers a wide range of fixes and quality-of-life enhancements. Please see the full Viggen changelog below and we can't wait to hear your feedback. We hope you enjoy! Stay tuned for the launch of the Intruder and early Kitty as we wrap up the summer's work. Brass Against - No More Tears (Ozzy Osbourne Cover)

I imagine it might be user error but ... 1) Can't get the Ekran to test and work. Says Ekran fail on the main Ekran screen. 2) I've only once got the CAY / AFCS to work and thereby activate the Damper. Works fine in Autostart. I think I'm doing the same thing each time?
-
Could you include a track of both issues?
-
Is anyone else having trouble getting the axis controls to work from cold and dark? Everything works fine from a hot start or airborne, but no axis controls work from cold and dark. Plus I cannot seem to shut down the engines from a hot start.
-
I have once got it to work but only once, and I can't tell how/why.
