  1. Past hour
  2. You have the answer: "Maybe. Not soon". In this case, ED cannot be ignored, because despite the sincere intentions of many developers, everything depends on implementing this in the DCS engine, which requires involvement on the ED side. This especially applies to weapons but let us be optimistic about the future. Personally, it's a cool idea, but its not a priority for me. I'd prefer to have paratroopers and vehicle transport capabilities first, with the Rapid Dragon System somewhere at the end of development if there will be the time and desire.
  3. I don't use a computer mouse. I use oculus quest controllers that allow interactive interaction with levers and toggle switches in the cockpit. In all other helicopters, both the longitudinal-transverse control knob and the general pitch control lever are available, and in the ka-50 module, the pitch control lever is currently unavailable, although it could previously be controlled in VR mode. This is a problem that needs to be fixed.
  4. Repaint of the F-86 Cockpit This model, which was very well made in its time, is already quite old, and I believe it deserves a modernization. I have carried out the repaint based on the black cockpit scheme, as I had complete photographic references of this version and, in this way, it also allows the option of flying both variants. All labels and legends have been recreated according to the available real-world information, while keeping in mind the limitations of integrating them into an already existing model. Repaint of the F-86 Sabre Jet Cockpit What has been achieved: -Application of a black base coat on the cockpit model. -Addition of metal wear effects, scratches, and layers of dust and dirt to enhance realism. -Implementation of roughmet layers, allowing for highlights and reflections that vary depending on the material of each surface. Limitations encountered: -The original model does not include bump maps in its files, which makes it impossible to simulate surface roughness and fine reliefs through the shader. Despite this, every effort has been made to achieve a convincing result. -The instrument lights could not be altered, as they are not texture-dependent but rather determined by the way the models were originally exported. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/es/files/3346544/
  5. Я бы не стал так категорично кидаться обвинениями. В этом конфликте две стороны. И нельзя сказать что Г-н Грей агнец. Скорее наоборот.
  6. Add IJA/IJN/Imperial Japan Transport fleet to the list.
  7. That depends a little bit on the exact circumstances and if the current CPU is in fact a bottleneck for the desired scenario and framerate. Generally speaking and looking at the edge cases, a X3D(*) CPU is certainly more optimal for DCS than any current Intel. That doesn’t mean that a 14K is a slouch. Upgrading between those two is certainly not a BIG step in most scenarios. I wouldn’t make this step unless there is another reason that the Intel has to go (like a defect e.g.). (* actually the 9950 isn’t the most optimal for DCS though, the single die X3Ds (9800\7800\5800) are slightly superior due to the absence of any inter-die problems. But of course DCS isn’t the only use case)
  8. Would love to have something oriented for the Mi-24, with fuel and loadout management, DISS 15 navigation info, true and mag heading to waypoints, distance, ... I have an excel template sheet I'm using to do it manually. I can share it to give an overall idea
  9. Thanks!
  10. Yep, I completely stopped buying third party until a resolution is arrived at.
  11. Is possible achieve 100 score in this mission? Kill the IRGC infantry without loss is quite tricky as the need to respect the JTAC heading slow the engagement process, and the F.-5s, well this is a my natural deficency in the A/A enviroment...
  12. Honestly I’ve never heard of it. I actually exclusively fly in VR, so I don’t see the lights on the Viper. I wrote DCS2Target for fun and interest as there was nothing else available.
  13. With all due respect to wags, I’m more interested in what the developer says. They have better idea of where they want to take the module in the future.
  14. That would be a false impression. I got the feeling it's not enough of an upgrade to go through the brain damage of getting my sim machine apart, playing musical parts with two different computers, running my powershell scripts to re-set all the controls, etc etc. That doesn't mean I'm not going through the brain damage, just not in the near future and I might wait for the next gen CPUs. I consciously went i9-14 rather than -ultra just because of the gaming reviews. I don't think that's going to fix the stutters. I keep putting off Windows 11 because they've turned harvesting personal data into an art form and I don't have a ready tool to fix that in the registry, but the information here about tweaking it for games has been awesome. Also noodling a PiMaxSuperDuperDeluxeUraniumEdition whatever the latest VR is later this year, so this entire area is priceless. Lots of great information.
  15. Yea It was purely for when you have an hour's downtime thought it might interest you, some great shots. Our greatest generation bar none, its when you hear the combat losses at the end, some groups think I heard 9 of 18 returning etc for one mission, then to go and do it all again the day after. B17's that's 90 men, one sortie, one group.
  16. That's precisely the point I'm trying to make: games are not "full load". Rendering videos, running multicore benchmarks...those load all your cores, and generate max heat. Games shouldn't be generating that much heat at all (hence why I went with an air cooler). So if your CPU is throttling when playing games (DCS does need more CPU than other games), then obviously it's an issue with your thermals, whether it's a defect in your CPU/cooler or improper install is what needs to be diagnosed. I know, what I meant to say was your thread gave Raisuli the (false) impression that 14900k to 9950x3D is a downgrade
  17. Also it’s not “tinted” so much as a surface in the laminations of the glass is a selective reflector of the wavelength of light the HUD CRT emits. So it cuts that green looking through it. And reflects that green hitting it from any white light source. At night it’s dim enough that red light reflects off the normal glass good enough. So bonus you get a red hud at night.
  18. So we're back to my earlier message. That won't really work for MP servers, which in turn don't seem to enable it, so everybody loses.
  19. Teaser for upcoming video.
  20. Have you tried to turn DLSS off? The logic is this: like FPS limiter, extra frames by DLSS can cause fps drop. This is an assumption, I have the same problem with fps drop with QVFR on, but I gave up before I tried it.
  21. Hey, could you send a picture of your Optiscaler configuration, in-game settings, and AMD Software DCS.exe profile settings?
  22. That one pane of glass is the single most demanding deal with model builders everywhere. EVERYONE has their own idea of how to get it right. Ask any 4 tomcat modelers the best way to do it, you’ll get 6 answers all conflicting.
  23. Wait, you leave your sim computer on….you know what a mess a sim makes in your memory right?
  24. Today
  25. Further testing has revealed this to be a multiplayer issue.
