I mean either it’s 9.12 or 9.13 which could be loaded with same software. Nothing else has the same HUD.

I fully agree. The MIG-23 has been requested by the community for a long time. It would sell very well so it would be a win-win both for ED & community. Sure there must be public information about the MIG-23 and a bird standing in a museum they can use for reference?

Damn! You're trying to set a record or something? Thanks for the last picture, it illustrates it very well. Very cool! I did mean the height, not the whole pipe. It looks like 30cm, maybe 40cm? I'm asking because I might do something like that when I'm back in the game. Cheers!

reported RWR display/symbols not moving with dashboard shake

Thank you! Appreciate you! -
Also broken on the Eagle Looks like they open at least 6 seconds after separation instead of 1.2, at least on the Eagle - not sure with the harrier. Incidentally I just found if you set the pri fuze timer on mk20s to 4 seconds they appear to be quite accurate (at least down low, haven't tested high)

correct as is Aileron Position after C&D
AeriaGloria replied to NoPro's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
It is normal. It just covers a range of few clicks. It would be pretty hard to set the lamp to neutral if it covered only exactly one click wouldn’t it? -
Pre designation doesn’t matter, all weapons can be employed without pre designation. All pre designation does is correct for wind and target movement. I have no idea why manual omits this and confuses everyone into thinking it’s something else I have only gotten bombs to drop accurately in CCIP, you have to look for when bomb fall line starts to rise above the 12 degree limit. I find CCRP so innacurate as to be worthless

Agreed. If turning radar off then on really helps, maybe even every 10th radar cycle.

The reference number on the top could be used to look it up in the UK national archives. This sort of thing is pretty universally released after 25 years. As a note they don’t edit the documents and don’t cross off things like confidential or secret like in the US. just based on age the archives would release something with just a confidential rating but the archivist would not allow access if there was an exception.

MiG-29s that made their way into the Luftwaffe after the reunification of Germany were in fact converted to imperial gauges and english labels. Not sure if there were other export nations that used imperial right away. In any case, it‘s not an artificial feature of DCS. (Not sure if the HUD was converted as well as it is the case in DCS if you chose imperial.)

DCS MiG-29A Flight performance and air drag seems weird
AeriaGloria replied to HoMeBoY's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
I would really love clarification for this. Becuase as far as I can tell in my testing, the leading edge flaps are down all the time with both settings. And nothing I could do could make them go up in “takeoff” flaps. And the LEF only have two settings, down or up. -
Не работает IFF в мультиплеере, все контакты отображаются как вражеские.

DCS MiG-29A Flight performance and air drag seems weird
TGP14 replied to HoMeBoY's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
I believe what was meant was that this was already discussed and cleared up on the Ru side. I read the same thing on a separate English forum that there is a misconception among us users about the flap panel, ie. people think its 3 buttons that only do 2 settings versus the reality of it being 3 buttons with 3 different settings as per some Mig-29 manual or documentation (Up, TO Flap + TO Scheduled Slats, LDG + LDG Scheduled Slats rather than what some assumed was just Flaps Up or Down with an unused middle button). It's more a comment on how the misconception above has been explained on the Ru side, perhaps worth making a note of this in the manual later down the road as it is both a very relevant system and of course just interesting technical knowledge (if its correct of course)! -
Overall the JF-17 is in a pretty good state, but it can be improved in some areas. There's almost always problems with the following: *TGP *802AKG+MIL *Any type of smart munitions and glide weapons I guess it's difficult for the developers to fix, but it's always an issue with one or more of the items above. Long term they need to figure out a way to fix it and make it robust enough that it stays fixed. On a secondary note, sound can be improved. Mainly voices and warnings where there's some sound of mouse-clicks of the recordings etc. It a minor issue but I've heard several friends complain about sound quality. Sound is a big part of DCS World aircraft and first impressions matter.

Thank you @CaptHawk for keeping on top of testing this for us all! I check in each patch and still no joy. @BIGNEWY would you be able to let us know if this is reported for the team (I'm wondering if the reported was for the original issue and something that is believed to be sorted since the DCS 2.9.17.11733 patch) Really appreciate all the work Thank you, Martin

I set Syria to 1991 and can see the RSBN car. Is your DCS updated to v2.9.20.15010? Or do you have any mods installed, as they may be causing this issue.

@ThorBrasil The newly released Grim Reapers tutorial is really good, you might want to have a look. There is no doubt bombing in the Fulcrum takes lots of skill, but atleast the framework and functionality is described very well below!

Is it fine to quote this document as a reference in my historic 29 flights? Is it still confidential, and how do I make sure I do not breach the British laws? The reason I ask is: Eastern German and Yugoslav 29s are roughly the same age. It appears the degradation of electronics did proceed in similar tempo in both air forces. Asking since this document proves British were aware already in 1997 that the aged fulcrums had serious problems. E.g. first signs that war imminent were mid-1997, with Autumn 1998 being marked with huge NATO demonstrative actions over Albania.
