  1. Past hour
  2. I'm not sure where your expectations come from to be honest. Who do you know who is running ryzen 56 and RX6600 GPU and getting great performance in DCS at medium/high settings? I'm sorry if this isn't helpful, but while your CPU and GPU might represent decent value for money, neither are high performers. So the best thing you can probably do is to accept that your hardware is not underperforming. Then it might be easier for you to use lower settings and keep the game playable. It doesn't need to be on high settings to be very immersive. A few years ago we were all enjoying games in 640x480.
  3. OMG THIS IS HUGE. Ive been trying to figure out how these packets are structured for the better part of 3 hours now, and i only got to about 1/5th of whats on that github. Being able to communiate with this guy would be amazing, so if you wouldn't mind it'd be great if you could dm me his reddit. cheers
  4. FWIW, when using and external flight model, what DCS is built to simulate kinda stops mattering (based on what ASC head said, and other discussions about EFMs).
  5. Perhaps the easy solution is to just not have as many waypoints that closely together. In your example picture you seem to be following the coastline. Surely there is no need for 5 (?) major course corrections within a couple miles.
  6. The name of this very forum section did :D. But indeed, WIP shot seen above clearly shows extra 13.2 mm guns which shouldn't be there on b variant.
  7. Just this week put a brand-new PC together, fresh install of DCS, and for the life of me I cannot get this to work anymore. Anyone know if this still works? Command menu all the way over on the right edge of my widescreen display is driving me nuts!
  8. @BIGNEWY I don't think I was rude, I just called a spade a spade. I won't pat anyone on the back just because they can't handle the problem. Thank you. I'm done with this thread.
  9. Okay, I belief you So somewhere I made a mistake ...
  10. Make sure the binding for the front seat actually uses the WAS switch on the TEDAC and not on the cyclic grip. COOP rockets will not select if the gunner uses the cyclic grip. I'm no 64 pilot, but I've been lead to believe this is also the case on the real aircraft.
  11. Lib author told me on Reddit he updated some docs https://github.com/vradarserver/cduhub/tree/main/library/mcdu-dotnet/WinWing/Mcdu
  12. Hi Baltic Dragon, I’m new to DCS and playing it in VR, and despite the old engine and the endless little bugs that keep creeping up, it still manages to create atmospheric visuals and dynamics that are jaw-dropping in VR — even after two weeks in. Yet your wonderful Raven One: Dominant Fury campaign takes it to a whole new level of storytelling and action. Today I played Mission 8 of the campaign, where Pistol 36, RED, takes a hit over the Chouf Mountains in Lebanon and I lead him, as Flip, to Haifa Airport. On the way there, I contacted the tower and was BLOWN AWAY to hear them speak English with a perfect Hebrew accent — such a beautiful detail. I actually live nearby and know the area well, and even once took off and landed at that airport with a friend who flies a Cessna. It was a special experience to visit northern Israel at dawn in the conclusion of that mission, and the Israeli accent over the radio took it to a whole new level of immersion. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Nir
  13. I always wonder how people who spent thousands of Euros or Dollars on the appropriate hardware for the game argue about the price of a single module or in this case of a cheap assets pack … sorry, can‘t understand.
  14. @Raffi75 please try to be nice, its a forum for everyone to discuss, we wont always agree with each other, but lets play nice. thank you
  15. After the repair and changing the page file, I am now able to use the MMS without issue. Thank you again for your help. This is why I love this community.
  16. Today
  17. Wait who said it was a B?
  18. Both the airfield and the barracks are in their correct locations: null
  19. Not only that, but IRL if you need you can put more sheets in, which would have just certain parts of the route, making it easier to read. IMO, having separate paper map on your lap (F10 in DCS) or with your CPG doing navigation is the best way to do it.
  20. VRAM is OK unless it suddenly is not. The problem is that with the very same mission, you can get various results with various aircraft. E.g. these are my numbers for UH-1H on Germany map: The helo is actually hot, and with another CH-47F in view. And this is the number with a cold CH-47F after the game finally loaded all the cockpit stuff: This is a brutal difference. So think about that as well. That said, faster memory (nVidia 5xxx wins here) and faster PCIe bus (depends on the MB)... and also PCIe lanes (depends, often AMD has more in the same price range) - this all affects your experience when you run out of VRAM. But the best thing is not to, if possible.
  21. This is an interesting idea. No "free", but "included" somehow. It's not quite the same but much better for some users. And yes, I understand that many other users don't have problems with a separate pack. Of course, there is hard to say whether this would promote some additional sales of those modules... and some modules are 3rd party, so there are some complications. But it's a nice model.
  22. @Zabuzard We've tested again today and now my FPS are horrible the entire time - not just when I'm using the UI or some occasional mild lags. We've also tested multithreading with the same result. Any updates or ideas?
  23. Having a separate asset pack isn't a good idea and I've said so. It's one of the main reasons many do not want to start dcs ww2. The entry price is too high. ED says they need that assets pack price to recoup their time and money. While I feel selling thousands more ww2 maps or aircraft by not having an assets pack is probably a better way. But I'm sure ED has actually done calculations on this. Since I don't have access to sales impossible for me to know. But I know that the 2 main reasons given for not getting into ww2 dcs is. 1 the price. With aircraft, map and asset pack. You get very little for your money vs the competition. 2. Lack of cohesive ww2 environment/too few aircraft. Now. With PTO both of these things will be partly remedied. Free PTO map, and a more cohesive ww2 environment centred on mid 1944. So we'll see if that makes people more willing to buy the PTO asset pack. Now that it will be a more complete environment and they don't have buy a ww2 map. I still feel a permanent deal were if you buy any ww2 module/map you'll automatically get the asset pack is best. So if you buy any ETO aircraft or ETO map you'll get the ww2 asset pack. You buy any PTO module(so Corsair, F6F and Zero) you get the PTO assets pack. That way those assets aren't free. You'll need to be at least 1 relevant module. But price for entry is less. As someone who advocate for DCS all over the interweb. I've found it a very hard sell to get flight simmers to jump on ww2 dcs.
  24. This would be cool
  25. IOS support?
