In landing you pitch (trim) for speed, and use power for climb descent. With a spring centered joystick trim is hard to understand. You’re using the stick to hold the nose at your desired AoA (and so speed) in a real plane or with Force Feedback, you then trim until you don’t have to hold the stick where you put it. You’re moving the neutral point of the stick. With a spring centered joystick it becomes unintuitive, as you trim you’re bringing the stick back to its centering point to emulate trimming off forces. So the stick position changes as opposed to the stick staying where it is and force against keeping it there trims away.

Currently, I am a bit frustrated with Jester. He seems to default to the MAP mode in Search meaning that he's scanning without nutation. It seems almost impossible for him to find bandits with a couple thousand feet delta and I have found myself turning him off and taking over the controls for myself for A2A. He seems too conservative with the Gain too, especially over water. It would be nice if I could take over some of these functions and leave him to do the rest. As I cannot make use of the WSO radar boresight mode or change to narrow or the range setting without him.

Other sims are irrelevant around here. I want to have as many different vehicles from as many different eras as possible, as both playable modules and AI assets. I use the word vehicle because I want to see tanks, ships, anything else you can think of. There are limits to what we can get; however, that doesn't mean we shouldn't ask for things. This is the stinking Wish list. What is important to remember is that just becuse you don't want a module doesn't mean other people don't. So what DCS always needs are more developers, modules, and assets.

This is only true if using a 1:1 tracking profile. If using a tracking profile that moves your in-game head more than your actual head the in-game HMD display will be offset from where you're looking and more so the further you are looking away from dead center. When not using a 1:1 profile it's only exactly where you are looking when looking straight ahead. This is more noticeable on wider screen displays. This has been brought up a few times over the years.

One of the many threads that explain the issue and where it's at (short version is no quick or easy fix). As MAXsenna said, there are a number of threads on this and ED has commented a number of times.

Why waiting on Korea era when you have BMS and with the last update 4.38 soon the graphics will be even better than DCS maps. However do you think that we should get every plane from specific era? Don't think is possible though. In matter of fact I personally heard about 'A' classification of airplanes 30 years ago while started playing such games and it was A-4 and nothing till yesterday about 26 or any in between. Cheers!

Has anyone else encountered this issue with mission 5 in the Frog-7 campaign? (Strike on Damascus International) Both times that I have tried to complete Mission 5 of this campaign, SARAH 1 crashes due to a midair collision with another one of the AI flights. In this last try, LIONCUB 3 crashed into both SARAH 1 and SARAH 2, causing this message to appear: "SARAH 1 has been lost in action. Abort and change to waypoint 15 for RTB instructions." I'm wondering if it could be due to the AI not being able to handle being in such close formation or something else. Screenshot of the mission result and a .rar file with the track file attached. I'm going to try turning off wake turbulence in my game settings and instructing the AI flights to go into a "trail" formation during the low altitude section to see if that helps. Here is a video of the collision on YouTube. (Latest attempt done in DCS 2.9.19.13478.) Side Note: For QOL update, I think the coastal waypoint should be set to a VIP point over the bridge, so Jester can get a nav fix. frog7m5.rar

Not sure you have much to worry about from a grenade at 20metres -
Thanks for the addendum. I did some testing tonight,it seems that the in-cockpit altimeter setting in the current dcs build have no effect on the targets saved using LFR,even changing altimeter setting after save,Shkval can still points to the correct altitude when uncage. (iirc u are correct for the build which BS3 was first came out,but it was changed after an update) I guess only LOS line for the ABRIS is taken from the in-cockpit altimeter, and the Shkval is actually using another altitude source as it's altitude reference.(a built-in altimeter which is always set at 760mmHg)

uhmmmmm.... what?... The FF F-15C has been released? How long was I asleep for? Is either you've got exclusive access to a module that's not released or you're using mods for the Flaming Cliffs one to be talking about mouse pointer and mouse wheel stuff. If it is the later. Remove the mod. If it is the former: congrats man. Let us know how the module is. BTW, this is the forum section for the Flaming Cliffs stuff, but if you're using a clickable cockpit mod, that's unsupported: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/866-flaming-cliffs-bugs-problems/

I do this in the p-47 to slow it down too. Just wishing they all had slider options

Thank you for your prompt response. I am located in mainland China, so I use a VPN to access Western websites, but even with the VPN active, the error message appears. I just tried updating DCS again and the error message appeared immediately. It seems that the problem is with the servers. Please see the attached file. BRegards autoupdate_log.txt

nephilimborn started following Micro Stutters / XrNeckSafer

confirming that snap rotation does not seem to make it worse with my setup. i still get mico-stutters (looking left or right) with or without smoothing and no frame rate drops, however that seems to be separate vr issue i have with DCS. At the moment i seem to have a somewhat liveable experience with 120hz locked to half frame rate and smart smoothing turned off, XRNeckSafer snap turns configured. I have to use XRNeckSafer as it literally saves my neck (limited neck articulation as a result of previous injury)

Maneuvering On The Ground With Differential Braking
Vic replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Bugs and Problems
OmasRachE I have the same issue too. Since the new update I can not turn while taxing on the ground, the corral/dirt runway. Before the update I could taxi around no problem. Checked all my rudder and break control bindings and no conflicts. I have the thrust master T- rudder pedals. Gotta be a bug cuz they worked fine before the update. -
I’m guessing the people complaining about the engine management being too hard, have never flown the p-47, or tried taking off and landing a Spitfire with “takeoff assistance” turned off. Or they are too used to full burner at all times in more modern jets. Maybe its not setup perfect and some aspects needs adjustments, sure ( WIP right?). But hard to fly and manage the engine? Most certainly not. If anything, I think it’s actually pretty tame, for a warbird… imo

I was facing similar issues with another download. Each time the dowlaod volume reached a certain limit, it stopped. I tried even larger downloads from other sources and had no issues. Then I just copied the download link from the browser - Opera in my case - to another download app JDownLoader - and it worked at 1st attempt. I suggest to retry the download with another browser or another download app. The devil is a squirrel.
