  2. IF anyone wondering I figured it out! Need to run DCS as administrator (at least once) for the hooks to work.
  3. There are templates around that you can use and all you have to do is fill out the blanks.
  4. Hi GJ !....Are you Using Necksafer ?.....Me, I have lots of Visual Freezes in the Headset while DCS is still running on my Monitor. ...When I turn off Neck Safer or Quad views, everything is fine... I am not sure , But I can have Quad views Or Neck safer on their own, bot together cause issues (for me) Hopes this helps Mate !...
  6. Hi Everyone, i have created pro files for my logitech x52 pro controller. in user files section there are so many profile files with visual referances showing the bindings on your controller as referance. i have tried generating with Chat gpt and gemini ai but not succeded. is there a software or any scrtipt that can load pro files and generate a visual refefance of the controller? or do i have to spare my precious time for each profile manually
  7. An interview with Lt. Col. Fred "Spanky" Clifton is one of the most experienced aggressor pilots ever, having flown the F-15, F-5, F-16 and the MiG-29. He speaks very favorably about many MiG-29 traits, except for the cockpit workflow, range and its nearly useless IRST. How To Win In A Dogfight: Stories From A Pilot Who Flew F-16s And MiGs  Read More: https://www.jalopnik.com/how-to-win-in-a-dogfight-stories-from-a-pilot-who-flew-1682723379/ IRST used in cold war fighters like F-101, F-102, F-106, J-35 Draken, F-4B, MiG-23, MiG-25, Su-27, F-14A, MiG-29 etc. was usefull for high altitude good weather interceptions of enemy recon planes or bombers. Absolutely not in tactical fighter air combat. For today's IRST like PIRATE to be usefull in tactical fighter air combat, breakthroughts like Focal Plane Arrays and compelx digital signal processing were needed. If modeled correctly the IRST will be of very limited use, basically a reserve interception tool in specific conditions, where radar will be jammed and weather conditions favourable, but that's the beauty of the DCS - modeling RL limitations of the systems, contrary to FC3, WT etc.
  8. George needs to get some flying lessons from the Kiowa dude, he does the same to me and its annoying as anything ad spoils what is a great module.
  9. Thank you Monty...I will try your suggestions... ~s~
  10. On my Quest Pro I have a dedicated router in the same room as my PC and headset and run virtual desktop with 10 bit HEVC at the maximum bitrate the Quest Pro supports and use adaptive quantisation and 2-pass encoding in the host side options. With that setup it runs well and the colour banding is minimal. There are still some compromises compared to a direct DP connection, though the only headset with a similar feature set and price (PSVR2) has a different set of compromises to make. I end up moving between the two depending on my mood… until I eventually decide to spring for a Pimax Crystal Super.
  11. This topic is discussed here: This raises some concerns, especially for VR users, as I've already mentioned. However, if you have a Ka-50 III module, you can test it out for yourself. If you're not using the helmet-mounted sight (it's not lowered), it doesn't work, although, as you can see in the MiG-29, it works constantly, even when you're not using the Shlem (is that a bug?). In the Ka-50, contrary to appearances, it's not terribly irritating in VR, although you can see the sensor working and it might be a bit distracting for some, but it's not as annoying as in Wags's 2D videos. I'm curious about the difference between the helmet-mounted sight in the Ka-50 and this one. There, the sensor doesn't rotate when you're not using it, while here, it rotates constantly, even when the sight is not lowered.
  12. I have the DOF H3 rig and confirm I have the same problem entering the catapult shuttle. Clearly there must be something off here and I don't understand why not ED can look into this without having a motion rig available. I would assume the telemetry is possible to capture without? Anyway I have managed to reduce the oscilations by tuning up the "Smoothing Effects" on the "Sway" effect/axis in SRS (the software for the rig). Of course this then reduce other cases for this effect, but at least I can launch now.
  14. Да
  15. Today
  16. Yeah, no need to switch. At the extreme resolutions that are needed for VR both CPU brands are becoming equal. and this isn't new information: If you want to run with optimum performance you should consider a better VR headset with eye tracking for foveated rendering in DCS. That Facebook headset of yours will give you only troubles, latency and unnecessary extra workload on GPU and CPU.
  17. They were weirdly annoying, but certainly not reason to not buy it. It would be nice to have an option to not animate them, maybe save a few fps in the process (I'm reaching here, but options are always nice - something in the 'special' menu maybe?)
  18. Wish this guy could take over the cancelled Australian map, finish it and add Timor! would buy it inmediatly!
  19. Amazing! Ugra stands as a preeminent authority in terrain development. Congrats
  20. Comrades, can you tell me why in 3d max the grid is transparent and in DCS the transparency disappears? What am I doing wrong? 3D Max.bmp DCS.bmp Map-157.bmp Material.bmp
  21. @Qcumber First check if SteamVR is your global OpenXR handler. Then also make sure that nothing from your former setup interferes with your new VR pipeline (registry and driver tweaks, hacks etc.). And yes, the plastics of the PSVR2 were chosen because of their lightweight characteristics. It's flimsy, yes, but not cheap. The PSVR2 app does not need to run everytime, it's only for setup purposes. You may also check a normal VR game first (HL:Alyx or something).
  22. Red Bull F4U4. ..
  23. Bump. Any updates? Still happening in 2.9.19.13478
  24. Wags' landing video shows English cockpit with metric units, which is a good thing. The HSI distance indication however shows miles despite the units setting in the simulation. I hope this will also be changed to km before release @NineLine
  25. Ahhh ok, however, check it out with your Ka-50 III if you have one. Contrary to appearances, it's not annoying. The only thing about the Ka-50 is that it only works when the Shlem is activated; in other situations, the sensor doesn't rotate.
