  1. Past hour
  2. Yep, that's it. Mirrors and cockpit displays (like TV or Tads e.g) fall into the same category in that they need an additional render viewport (and therefore reduce fps)
  3. Sorry to destroy your world, but singleplayer is even more a game than multiplayer. Without other humans, DCS comes down to scripted stuff and incapable AI. Or to solo training sessions with stationary targets. If you actually wanted to fly in a sim, you'd need a squadron and real opponents. Like on some of the really good campaign servers. Of course, GS server or the like are not so realistic, but the air combat is still a much better experience than against AI.
  4. Any news on this? Really would like to see this in DCS.
  5. This is unrelated and already reported:
  6. Yes, "Resolution of cockpit displays" works also for mirrors. There are 256, 512 and 1024 options to select and some have also "every frame" version, which means the displays are either refreshed with full fps or half (or 15fps, not sure). Mind that you have to restart DCS for this change to apply.
  7. Hey, Recently I decided I should upgrade Pimax Play to see if I can check out the upscaling features & the integrated Pimax XR & Quad Views, and while the installation seemed to work fine I found that the performance & settings of the integrated Quad Views was lacking, so much so that I disabled it and went back to the stand alone version. Looking at the integrated QV settings and the QV companion settings they are not comparable and some of the settings (such as the sharpness & thickness settings at the bottom) are missing entirely. Can anyone recommend how to migrate the settings from the stand alone QVs to the Pimax Integrated version so I can test as close to 'like for like' as possible. Thanks!
  8. Yup. Sources say by 8 inches - not sure if that's per tip, or overall. Either way, it was because some RN carriers had hangers which were just too low to take an unclipped Corsair with wings folded. There are a lot of myths floating around with regard to RN Corsairs, and the idea that this minor modification was made for any more significant reason is one of them. The RN also operated land-based Corsairs, unclipped, so they clearly didn't think it mattered otherwise.
  9. Like right now. I think it's great! I spend half my DCS time just flying around because it's a great flightsim. I'm here for the planes and the fun. Sure, I enjoy the high-tech MFD watch-things-go-Kaboom! aspect of it, but first and foremost it's all about the planes and the flying, and for me DCS is the tightest rightest flightsim ever. I just love the flying.
  10. Thanks for sharing that. I believe we all understand that this could be affected by unexpected delays but it is highly welcomed to have a reference target timeframe. Thanks!
  11. Oh ffs, the doomsayers are on the run again. Please, if you don't like DCS or can't wait for it to fail - Just. Walk. Away. But please stop trying to convince everybody else that it is flawed or doomed. When you have specific things to criticise, by all means, go ahead, idealy provide evidence and suggest solutions - but this passive aggressive dramatization, please no!
  12. For me the solution was to change the performance settings in windows. Switching the PC from "balanced" to "best performance" fixed the stuttering issue for me.
  13. Quite the understatement
  14. There is definitely something wrong. But it might be on DCS side (I don't have any mod and I repaired DCS). I flew M2 again and still scored 50 (see tacview file). I skipped it and flew M3. I was scoring 0 after takeoff so I shut down DCS then opened it again, then scored 50 right at the begining. I don't have scoring issue with other campaigns though. Anyway this campaign is awsome, as each campaign you designed. Thanks ! Tacview-20250911-110330-DCS.zip.acmi
  15. I believe they were clipped to fit into the slightly smaller British carriers. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  16. I can confirm that. It sounds strange. I just couldn't figure out exactly why that is.
  17. Were wings not clipped to improve low-altitude performance? That’s why the Spitfire’s wings were clipped in some variants, I believe…
  18. Today
  19. I'd be surprised if the small change to the wingtip profile made any meaningful difference to performance in real life. Maybe with very careful testing they might have been able to detect a difference, but why would they bother? It needed to be done (to fit some RN carriers), so they did it. Pilots who expected a difference might have thought there was one, but given all the other variables, there's no particular reason to assume this was more than imagination. And even if there was a difference, we don't have data on it...
  20. Hello ED and @Flappie, Please have a look at the thread linked below, it includes tracks. Thanks!

  22. Hi, we appreciate the effort but we didn't model the Magic I, it's an ED matter.
  23. @BIGNEWY @NineLine Can you help? And same case here:
  24. Hi Karl, As far as I know the SDK you need to do this in DCS is not available for modders.
