Hi all, I may have missed this elsewhere, but I'm wondering if there's a fix for the haywire interceptor missiles from most of the seafaring assets in Currenthill's packs. Thanks so much for any clarification/assistance! -
Took the old girl out for some AAR tonight. One thing to note, you need to manually switch over to radio two on UHF to get in comms with the tanker and ensure you are on the correct channel. Also the instruction manual advises to use the PTT button, however this does not work when bound to anything. I used the comms menu button, default "/", and then called the tanker, worked fine. This was a good time this evening. Digging the AAR. Even though I set the damn tanker in an orbit around 1 waypoint.

I got it to happen in a Track that works. It happens during the 3rd sortie. A bomb doesn't start it this time. It happens when some Leopard tanks start shooting at some Russian tanks and BMPs in the same spot so it has nothing to do with the munition. It's either one of the units or the bridge I guess. I attached the newest log too. Framerate bug 4 Started happening on its own when leopard tanks shot Russian tanks and BMPs.trk dcs.log

scamble.nl gives a 403 error. I've been using this site: https://www.mil-airfields.de/countries.html#DE However it can sometime be thin on what units are based where during which time frame. A lot of it seems to be focused on MiG-15/-17 era. -

Weather mod v2.0 for DCS

I've developed an unhealthy obsession with trying to make better looking cirrus clouds. No other flight sims really have good looking cirrus and there's a reason for that. You either do volumetric procedural generated cirrus or shader/texture technique like DCS. Procedural generated clouds are great for lower level clouds but it just doesn't do thin wispy cloud formations like cirrus very well. Texture based techniques like what DCS uses can look good but because they are tiled textures they can look repetitive and flat. I've been working on the textures and shader code to eliminate any banding and ugliness at close range. I think I've got some pretty good results with this version. Thanks for everyone's patience as I experiment with this. I've added new and removed different textures along the way. Apologies if I removed one that you liked along the way. Спасибо, разработчики, что дождались, когда я сам разберусь. Впрочем, в чём разберусь? В том, что где-то в 2020 или 2024 году возможность настроек АРК-5 была удалена из редактора? То, что это нигде не было отражено, кроме как на англоязычном форуме? В том, что разработчик не удосужился внести изменения в мануал? Остаётся только смириться с тем, что я приобрел модуль, который не соответствует ни реальному самолету, ни даже написанному к нему руководству. И, судя по всему, разработчику модуля, как и самому DCS на это плевать. У меня только один вопрос: Эй там есть кто живой?

I feel you are grossly under estimating the MiG-29s BVR ability in it's current state. Against veteran ai it's been pretty easy for me to win the joust against SARH oppenents even with just the vanilla R27R's. It's ability to get high and fast very quickly, and to even stay perched there for a half decent amount of time is not to be underestimated. Yeah if your fighting Fox 3 equipped oppenents your going to struggle, but that's not really the fight this first generation of MiG-29 was ever designed to fight against. Same if your going to try to take on 2-4 other 4rth gen oppenents all by yourself (although I don't see how you could really have a much better time trying to do this any more with any of the teen series fighters either) You can by the way setup ground search radars and sams and do radio calls for picture to help build your SA, like we used to do on alpenwolfs cold war server back in the day, but this also works for single player missions I can think of a lot of interesting missions that you could set up right now in SP. Like scrambling with an AI wingman from a roadside based as a group of 4 Phantoms go to make a ground attack. And you ambush them from below while a ERW radar site gives you vectors from picture calls. Or patrolling perched high above friendly SAMs protecting an airbase as a group of Hornets with HARM's and Sparrows try to perform SEAD to soften up the air defense and your there to swat them out of the sky from high altitude, while the friendly SAMs keep them at standoff distance Or some daring nap of the earth ground attack missions using quick pop up rocket or bomb attacks like in the viggen. (Wait till your see the Viggens RWR) I can think of loads of missions. The Module the MiG-29 mostly resembles for me is the M-2000C. Both have quirky radars you need to learn to get used to, and both are set up to do similar roles.

I can't get this to work, I place the required units as specified, their location, heading, channel # etc, pick the same channel in cockpit but I still can't get landing bars to turn on... I don't know what I am doing wrong? MiG-29A Fulcrum Sukhum RSBN Landing.miz

Hi,I noticed that the RALT reading on the steam gauge doesn't match the reading on the HUD when using English cockpit with imperial unit. It works fine when using Russian cockpit with metrics unit though. Looks like the texture for RALT steam gauge is simply based on the GAF manual,but the needle's position is calibrated with the Russian cockpit,so there is a misalignment between them. Well once modeled we will be able to do something talked about in manuals, getting locks with R-73/R-27T on ground targets and shooting them

For me, it shows up there even when you have CAS as the Tasking, but then after you select the B-21 it switches the tasking to Ground Attack.null -

Now 29 has only tactical speed brake (push switch in retracted position). But it also have usual one (aft switch position) If dev need I can tell where to read about it.null

I haven't observed this on the latest version. Looks to be fixed!
