Well hello there. -[deleted old text and files]- At last I found some time to redraw some more markings and numbers textures, here is a preview hey, it was 6 AM that's why screenshot is like a mess :D List of textures: KREST-GERM.TGA NOMERA.TGA NOMERA-BLACK.TGA NOMERA-RED-2.TGA NOMERA-RED.TGA NOMERA-YELLOW.TGA RUS-STAR-ZNAK.TGA TURK-ZNAK.TGA UKR-KRUG.TGA UKR-LOGO.TGA UKR-ZNAK.TGA USA-ZNAK-BLUE.TGA Place textures into "\Bazar\TempTextures" folder. BTW I tried to make a CDDS first, but for some reason it became 3 times larger then TarGAs  will figure out that later. Enjoy FV Marks&Numbers Fix ver 1.0.rar1 point

Finally they're doing some real manoeuvering and not that lame stuff the Raptor did (FCS upgrade?). http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2007/06/01/214339/video-f-22-raptors-power-and-agility-displayed-at-airshow.html See that thing dance, makes you dizzy, even from the video.1 point

Replace the IGLA model with it, LOL. But if models could be added which don't replace existing stuff this would be pretty cool. Its usually the little things people don't think about that help "sell" an image to the user.1 point

ED will not release their source code. However, they will continue to move in a direction which provides more game access to the community.1 point

Unfortunately not but it looks cool. http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=75&lid=203&ttitle=Kneeboard_for_LOMAC_F-15_and_A-10_pilots#dldetails1 point

Hi, yes I'm still working on it :) Made the autopilot trigger plus the housing, again it's not a big update, but better something than nothing :D See you, :joystick:1 point

All this source code talk is very unhelpful - source code is not needed and its very disrectful to ED please people think what would actually be helpful to modding LO in terms of adding new 3d stuff - then if there was enough sensible support and consensus for such ideas, we should all ask ED very nicely if they would support us all, and kindly release some new tool utilities ! i have tried to make some sensible suggestons like others - comparing Lo to FS2004 modding - suggesting cockpit editor / object slot placement utility - so we can actually add new objects to the game engine without removing others - this is vital i feel if the masses want to see LO actually expand and flourish in terms of both new and enhanced 3d content , on a free community modded basis ! it would be nice to have new planes / ships and vehicles and perhaps scenery pieces , and actually be able to add them permanently and relatively easily into the game engine to enhance the LO virtual world .1 point

good point MrWolf i honestly cant understand people who bother posting in the thread that their highness consider pointless or God forbid posted before.1 point

Well there were similar petitions for the Flanker 2 code once it got completely abandoned in a favor of LO. Nothing happened then, nothing will ever happen on that subject. Those are the rules of the modern market. AFAIK the Falcon 4 code has been stolen rather than 'officialy' released.1 point

BS to me is part of the english language and i used it in context - not as a swear word or profanity ! as for my attitude - i don't have an attitude thankyou , as a 38 year old married man , and a father - i simply have an opinion which i have expressed i waited 6 pages on this thred to give my opinion , and call it as i see it , its a general opinion , and was not aimed at any one specific person kindly do not level threats at me - i consider your last sentance a threat - and could question your attitude ! i have expressed my views clearly and concisely and feel i have nothing further to say on particular thred subject what needed to be said i feel has been said quite clearly .1 point

Ok, I am going to get Vista Home Premium but I can't tell the difference between the 32 and 64 bit versions. Is there a difference? AFAIK, my C2D will work with either one, but I don't know which one to get.1 point

Well, it doesn't matter anyway. Even if the HFFM numbers are legit, they only apply to the F-16 - the fact that the F-15 uses a completely different, variable geometry intake changes the equation entirely.1 point

Thanks for the response Rhen. The high-altitude, mil-power regime is obviously important to you, and for this case I agree the Dash-1 figures are the way to go. The low-altitude, max-power regime is of more interest to me, because it lets me isolate a few parameters at a time for testing, without worrying about ram drag or other complications. I still believe that unless we get the low-altitude, max-power regime correct, there is no way to "bump up the thrust" at higher altitudes. That is basically a hack - it might make connecting to the tanker easier, but things like that can throw off the whole balance in air combat. And for the low-altitude, max-thrust regime, the Dash-1 lets me down in precision of langugage, by interchanging "1 nm" with "negligible," and other approximations. For low-altitude, max-power, the Streak Eagle records are IMHO a much better reference, and that is what I considered this whole thread to be about. So in essence there seem to be two problems - one above Yo-yo's "sweet spot" of 10,000 feet altitude where everything magically seems to work out in his charts, and another one below. And they seem to affect all SFM aircraft, one way or another. The question is - having identified these problems, how does Yo-yo proceed to a solution? If you feel that the low-alt performance can be tolerated, and the high-alt thrust can just be "bumped up" to compensate even if the error is in drag or something else, then I guess we should just respectfully agree to disagree. Something as complex as a combat sim flight model does not lend itself well to quick-hack, end-of-pipe solutions, IMHO. The unforeseen consequences of such changes always seem enormous afterward - e.g. the "Tunguskas shooting down Mavericks" affair, when they tried to allow Patriots to shoot down ARMs. I want to know exactly what is causing the problem, and attack it at its source. Cheers, -SK1 point

You should be so cruel! :) You should make it take some random amount of time, with accumulating damage - you should start to see the canopy melting, the pilot say 'damn it's getting hot in here' or something like this - then you would have warning :)1 point
