Иначе как объяснить что игра багнутая вдоль и поперек а ЕД не выпустила ни одного патча? Younster...I am 77 and was a flight simulator engineer in the aerospace industry for many years also have worked on the Nellis EW range and I posses avalid FAA pilots license with over 600 hrs of real time. I love this simullator and as a "pro" think it is an outstanding accomplishment of the programmers and desighners......we may be old but definately not "out of it" Best wishes for happy flying.......Rogueone5 points

hello guys, the mod is almost ready. i still have some corrections to do to finalise it but it is done at 98%. i can't find the lower part of the seat, the center of helmet sensor and the file where the table of radio frequency is located. if someone can help it will accelerate the final release. my squadron will test the beta at the end of the week and i will probably release next week end. cheers.3 points

switch to hud only view then tell me DCS: A10C looks 2x better then lockon. it looks the same to me if you are in hud only. i am trying to see what you are seeing but i keep on seeing same game engine from lockon to DCS: A10C please show me a video of both from hud only comparing the graphics. i am trying to see what you see but im just not seeing it. sure would be nice if there was a demo.2 points

Nope, I use a calculator, and it's just an observation. The simple fact is that most people I have run into do not understand the difference between degrees minutes and seconds and degrees and minutes. Some have even argued with me over it. I would be willing to bet that a lot of the inaccuracy is simply caused by people not knowing the difference between degrees minutes and seconds and degrees and minutes. Alot of people just don't understand it, and do not know there is a difference, and that's a fact, not "condescension". :mad: I am well aware it's been awhile since most people's geography, trigonometry, or astronomy classes.2 points

Hi guy's: Been messing around a bit to get used to this FC2 modding. I have a pic here of the F18,Herrier,su-30 Mod with the F-18 taken out. I have the su-33 cockpit which I am now working on, I have the aim-120's, aim-9's,aim-7m's, free fall bombs and TV guided booms working with a TV display zoom and lockup. The IR missles are launching but I have some work to do. Just thought I would pass this along if there is anyone interested in an F-18C and yes it is fully carrier operational. Cheers1 point

Some might think I'm crazy for buying a game (don't even like using that word when it come to DCS) a Study Sim twice. I just feel that a product of this quality is worth so much more than what ED charges. I would pay twice what they charge without blinking an eye. I just look at it as a value/cost relationship.....the time I will spend on DCS A-10 is 100's:1 of other $50.00 games. So, to me it is a way of supporting the very company that produces what I want and so very few other developers are willing to venture into...Simulations. I'm sure there are many others like myself, buying A-10 twice because doing so represents more of it's true value.1 point

Extremely happy with it. DCS: A-10C runs with all settings high (mirrors on) except medium view distance, no TSAA and "only" 4x MSAA, in windowed mode (Windows Aero active) with only very very sporadic dips below 60FPS even in combat - and that's while I have HD video playing on the other screen. Still a slight stutter when I activate TGP (1024 res on it), but otherwise fine. Also, note that the K-series SKU's not only give you the unlocked multi, they also give you complete control over the TurboBoost features. So even if you don't want a traditional overclock, you can for example allow it to TurboBoost all cores to 3.8GHz - which it otherwise only does if only a single core is loaded. (With all cores loaded TurboBoost as standard only goes one "tick" up - to 3.5GHz.) Going from my 4GHz e8500/9800GTX+ to the 2600K/GTX560Ti was night and day. Completely changed the experience. Can't even compare them.1 point

Back on Map topic. AFAIR A10C playground has been expanded from BS. Is there any plan to realease an updated map in big size ? And is the actuall PDF manual of the release the final or will it suffer adjustment. I don t want to print now then have to reprint unassemble and reassemble. I can wait, so no trouble. there s already so much information in the beta manual i can handle in my spare time. But learning from PDF is PITA.1 point

Fashionably late, I am, I am! I saw the “DCS: A-10C WARTHOG” Final Released" header I was like WTF? I didn't even look, closed my eye's, inserted my index fingers firmly into my ear holes, and chanted LALALALA! So I waited a day or two for the torrent to acquire some momentum, Now I'm only 10hrs away, its excruciating. Thanks for seeding! Cool story huh?1 point

Вопрос к разработчикам. Если имеется 2 (и более) материала с разными свойствами, но с одинаковой текстурой а-ля 1024х2048, то в памяти игры после инициализации материалов текстура будет храниться в двух экземплярах или в одном?1 point

i have read every post in this thread. i have not skipped one work if you arent playing that is fine. what i have been doing is trying to gather information. i just now figured you are somebody important. that is great but just the average joe talking to me is fine to. you are definately going to biased since you wrote the code. you know if there was a demo it would be alot easier for me and others to check. instead of i have to wait for reviews or come here and ask questions or watch some videos on youtube and there are not that money that show hud only. all i am trying to do is spend my money wisely. sorry for asking about the game. btw i just noticed this thread was moved to chit-chat... GREAT!!! thanks for taking it out of the DCS: A10C forum....1 point

i believe i asked "please show me a video" right above this post. come on if you are going to quote me please get it right. i do appreciate you spending the time telling me things to look for while comparing lockon to A10C by DCS: i remember an app that let me adjust the tree density for lockon and also the range i think. i forget the name of the app... one sec i googling. "LOMAN" and "LOCFG" those utilities let you adjust all kinds of things. are you saying that DCS: A10C has more tree density and greater draw distance then those utilites let you have with lockon? tell me more now that you know i know about loman and locfg. i know hdr was added but what about the other things you mentioned. thanks1 point

Спасибо за ответы. Вот кинематическая схема: При повороте рычагов на 35 градусов, получаем ход педали около 130 мм, пружина при этом растягивается с 68 до 100мм. Расстояние между центрами педалей 390мм при 0 положении и 360мм при полной даче педали от себя. На сегодня пожалуй все. Всех с наступившим праздником!!!1 point

I tend to do things alone, well, MOSTLY. :D I prefer learning (and playing) at my own pace. I could say I'm more of a book reader but I think I have ADHD so no flashy explosions=no fun. Being in a squadron is too much of a commitment to me. Don't want to be burdened/be a burden to/by others. If a game is scheduled on a certain date and that day I change my mind and want to go out, watch a movie, etc. I don't want any responsibility. Plus, I hate faulty software. If the AI doesn't work properly, why include it? Thanks for the comments. I take it that DCS outshines past sims in this field. Are the bugs frequent (e.g., does EVERY flight not follow their waypoints after takeoff) and/or game breaking? Do they damage immersion? Are there scripting workarounds? From your comments it doesn't seem so, but as I said, the more the merrier. Another thing, I remember dogfighting guns only on Falcon: AF was a joke. With almost no experience and everything cranked up I managed to shoot down MiGs consistently. I don't think dogfighting in an A-10 is preferrable, but are there limitations like this one I mentioned? I mean, something that should be hard but is not because of bad AI. And yet another one: is the AI moddable? Are there parameters accessible in some way that can be modified to adjust its behaviour? Like... Spotting ranges, accuracy, stuff like that... Sorry if I'm so inquisitive, but it's something I just can't do without. And thank you all again!1 point

I don't think being away from the community for almost half of your life combined with having no amount of knowledge on DCS gives you the right to judge on what is a deserved value. Its not hard, you have a choice to fly and be a part of the most realistic public flight simulator series known to man or NOT. Its not a tricky poser and no amount of whinning is going to change your options. Choose wisely or sit on your hands for another 5 years. :thumbup:1 point

Honestly I am amazed at the bitching and trolling going on in this thread. This is the bleeding edge in flight simulation that sticks obsessively to the whole concept of study sim, and yet since it doesn't have multicore or DX11 support (Yet) it's a massive failure? That is incredible logic right there, let me tell you. ED only has so much resources at it's disposal. If they rolled out DX11 and multicore support with release then what parts of the sim would have to be neglected? Or more important, which parts would you prefer to be compromised to achieve this? If it doesn't meet your lofty goals then why just sit here trolling?1 point

so because i want an updated game engine and physics "then i must want an arcade game like hawx" that is why i told you i bought janes f15 and janes fa 18 and falcon4 and then lockon.. do any of those game start with "hawx" ok dont pull that card please. i just want a GOOD UPDATED SIM is that to much to ask for?1 point

you can say anything you want. but this is 2011 i checked if the dev team cant program the game in DX11 i am going to believe something is wrong. i will think either its a team that just dont know how to do it or they dont have the rights to mess with the game engine. any game company these days (that charge $60.00) for a game will be making the game in DX11. tell me why the game is not programmed in DX11 and multi-threaded? i mean single core (well 2 cores if you count the 2nd for the sound) come on....this is year 2011.1 point

Enough with the condescension, Speed... So I suppose you can convert in your head? I use a calculator or one of the converters on the web. I highly doubt Hog pilots get incorrect format coords from FAC/AWACS and have to convert using a calculator on their kneeboard.1 point

Referring to all those who are trying to vote for the most ridiculous aircraft right now for a high fidelity simulation...stuff thats classified and all that, you know...other than that, nobody really cares. You need help, youll get help, whether your a vet or noob. It gets old after the first 10 years when everyone asks for the same thing: F-14, F-22, F-35, SR-71, etc.1 point

1) I think it would be possible, if you split the slider into bands. I've been using the slider in three positions for zoom. I do this with the axis setup as 0,100,100,100, invert on. Essentially what that does is makes the 10% at the ends of the slide zoom in and out, and the mid-90% zoom center. You could however, split the slider into bands and set 10% at the ends to the air brakes. That's a good idea and I may try it. The wheel does work for airbrakes, but I hit it by accident sometimes. 2)Saitek's drivers that control the MFD on the X52 are buggy in the extreme. I was getting blue screens from it intermittently. I disabled 'Saitek Direct Output' in my services by: * start > run > type services.msc > enter * find 'Saitek Direct Output' > enter properties * Change startup to disabled This way the service never starts and my system never crashes from it :). Other people may have luck with it, so I don't mean to say that everyone should disable it.1 point

The difference of PvP vs Co-ops not all that large really. I tend to always assume a mission I'm making is going to be on a dedicated server where the mission can run idle for hours or be occupied for hours and everywhere in between. Thus I felt a message system is something very important because there is no built in functionality to inform the player of the current mission state, which is a huge disappointment as online play is about the only aspect of FC/DCS that feels organic in gameplay. I like the thought that joining a mission at mission start, 20 minutes in, an hour in, or 3 hours in is never the same experience each time. Having players on one side or players using only 1 type of aircraft lends itself nicely to co-op oriented objectives. For a while now, I've been trying to have co-op elements within a PvP scenario, heck the scenario I was working on for FC2 was basically 2 concurrent co-op missions and it didn't matter how much actual PvP that went on. But that is a whole different topic :D To answer your question. The really useful bit of making a "pure" co-op rather than PvP is from the added benefits that only one side has human input. If I ordered only Red AI helicopters to attack Blue (human teams) AI ground forces, aside from blue fratricide, its really easy to determine if the Red team completed their goal. I guess the trick is to make something that would normally be linear feel more chaotic than it actually is.1 point

Зачем взрывать????? есть опция деактивировать юнит. Тогда самолет просто пропадет и нужно будет опять восстанавливаться(RCtrl+RShirt+ TAB)1 point
