  1. Yea. Mission 5, Mission 6, Mission 10... all these issues posted are recent posts using the A10C-II from User files. And it's not the Campaign's fault. Most of it is DCS bug. Any mission in the mountains, you can't save your wingmen so you'll never get 100% completion since this campaign gives 5 bonus points for brining each wingman alive. Which you can change in the ME. Which goes back to my point that in current state of DCS, you can't complete any campaign without editing in ME.
  2. Yea, but expect heavy editing in ME in order to complete it in current state of DCS. Blowing away any surprises in the campaign in the process. This is one campaign I highly recommend waiting until bug fixes before playing.
  3. I'm not saying miss out on it. I said to wait. I wish someone would tell me what bugs would prevent me from completing a campaign before I play them. You play same mission multiple times due to a bug or worse, have to edit the mission in ME to complete it, now I expect what's going to happen. Completely ruins the intent of the mission creator. And even the best voice acting gets annoying when you have to listen 4-5 times.
  4. I'd recommend staying away from any campaigns until suicidal wingmen are fixed. Especially campaigns that have a lot of missions in the mountains. Can ruin the enjoyment of campaigns. Sturmovik campaign may be okay as most of it doesn't have wingmen and first half are more of training missions.
  5. As I posted above, it does work for me. I even posted through the lens shot so I donno what other proof I can provide. It may just depend on the headset. I have Vive Pro which directly works with SteamVR rather than WMR piggy backing on it so that may be the reason.
  6. These are not this campaign issue but DCS issue. Having to run the same mission multiple times or having to edit the mission in order to complete it takes half the fun out of it as you now expect what's going to happen. But that is current state of DCS. You have to live with it. I personally edited all missions on this campaign so there's no bonus for wingmen landings to save myself the frustration.
  7. I don't know how far into the future but this eventually will be functional enough to be practical.
  8. I don't see that Mouse option in my VKPDevCfg.exe. Only Keyboard. Not seeing it in the manual either. That's for Gladiator NXT? And even if that works, I don't see how you can assign both wheels to emulate two separate mouse. Plus, I have mouse wheel assigned to something else. It needs to work like Saitek scroll wheel. But I think it's not the same type of wheel.
  9. Where is that shot from? You need to have reflection on in order for that effect to work.
  10. Just FYI, that post was fairly old. I'm now using cockpit mod that enhances HUD. Also IC safe. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313706/
  11. If you can find a sucker who sells Vive Pro for really cheap, it plus lens mod in my opinion is better than Index. The new SteamVR update brought new life into all Vive headsets and I'm actually quite surprised that a software update can bring that much performance to such old unit.
  12. +1. Happens at least once a mission.
  13. Because it's two mods inside one zip. You can't use the zip as is. You need to extract each folder inside the zip into your OvGME folder.
  14. At least Viper is one of actual nickname of F16. I donno where Tank Killer came from for A10C-II. I remember old game called A10 Tank Killer...
  15. It's rendering same area with inside the scope magnified. It's rendering and calculating one scene. In DCS, your rendering environment around your cockpit. Then TGP is rendering another completely different view in completely different environment that may be behind you. And then it may render another if you're using Maverick. Also much larger than what you see in a sniper scope. It's not even in the same ball park.
  16. You're comparing FPS with flight simulator? And scope is not PIP. It doesn't render two scenes.
  17. I suggest stay clear of X56. This among many review pointing out its issues. The spring centering mechanism "looks" like good idea. Not in practice. In sub $400 range, VKB Gladator NXT and Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle seems to be best option. Or wait for VKB TECS Throttle.
  18. Rudder trim and return to center for new input are not real. You wouldn't want to use rudder trim anyway... gets very confusing on where it's trimmed to especially with auto turn to target. If you don't have the control overlay that is which I don't use for immersion reason.
  19. I wasn't just referring to the UI even tho it is horrendous. I read the manual and I understood how it functions. That is why I say it is horrendous. But the biggest issue with it is HOW it functions. Firmware flashes rather than software profiler. You need to open the program, download the firmware and update the firmware if you want different profile for different plane. I never thought I'd say this but I guess I've been spoiled by Saitek profiler. Been complaining about it for years but it now seem cutting edge compared to VKB. You have to resort to 3rd party profiler such as Vjoy and Gremlin which I find to be quite buggy as well. While I'm at it, I'll point out couple more cons I found with Gladiator NXT which might help the OP in buying decision. From someone who switched from X52 Pro. Pinky switch location is awkward. If you've been using X52 Pro's pinky as shift function, then this will be awkward to you. By default it's lower than my natural pinky position but if I use the thicker rest pad, then I have to twist my hand to reach it. The two scroll wheels on the base are useless. It may look like a mouse wheel but you can't make it work like mouse wheel. It doesn't account for the speed of the rotation. It only emulates clicks. And by default, it's too slow to be used for rotating knobs. And if you make it click too fast, then DCS doesn't recognize it. Only thing you can assign them to are non critical functions such as NVG gain controls. Even that, just keyboard presses are faster. This may depend on the production but the press function on HAT switches are very stiff. Accidental press of HAT up happens sometimes. Otherwise, rest of the stick is top notch.
  20. I do not recommend X56. Throttle is okay but stick is even worse than X52. I was in similar situation with you just a month ago. My 13 year old X52 Pro stick gave out and needed replacement. And I didn't want to spend $1,000 so I went with VKB Gladiator NXT Premium for $186 USD including shipping. Stick is well made and feels very sturdy. It's not perfect, some button placement and button functions are questionable. The software is the worst I've ever used so far. I don't even touch it and just use DCS mapping. But the most important aspect, the feel and precision is big upgrade from X52 Pro without breaking bank. But then it's stick only so you either have to use the small throttle on the base or use your X52 Pro throttle if it still works.
  21. There is no game out there that renders where you are and another render at 25 miles out. Without making big sacrifice in performance. If that is more important than performance, then just increase visibility range. There are a lot of compromises this game makes to be playable. Trees popping up, texture quality, LOD range... and it's not just this game. Even MSFS 2020 has trees popping up. And everything has its costs.
  22. Does that mean you can enter that value for those missiles to change it?
  23. You know, I think this explains why TWS wont switch to some targets when cycling with TMS right. I've had this happen many times. They're just tank tracks and not system track. And you can't tell the difference because the symbol is identical.
  24. Actual symbol wise, none. What I use to tell is that the Azimuth will automatically change to A2 and 3 bars in TWS mode.
