Had the same type of crash near the TRK waypoint. @brran try to spawn an air unit close to your target and perform the drop to limit the track replay without start-up, cv launch, transit, etc.

To me it looks like your switch to PTRK is too late. The pod needs some lead time to pick-up the track. Example one: this one is quite close Example two: this shows quite good how the PTRK behaves.
