Thanks, the invitation returned a few days after posting so I have just upgraded to Windows 10. I'm in two minds, it seems quite smart and what not. But the first thing I saw is a candy crush app which killed the experience a bit, why is that rubbish here? I'm not a fan of the apps etc at all but at least they aren't as intrusive as on windows 8.
I also can't seem to change the default program for opening jpegs, I'm trying to set Irfanview which is far superior to the windows photo viewer. If I change the option within Irfanview, it doesn't save. And if I go to the windows default page, irfanview is not an option, just windows photo viewer, paint and the app store.
Am I missing something? Simple things like putting photos and music folders where they were in Windows 7 also seems like a chore, but I'm sure I'll figure it out... Mixed bag so far. I probably would have stayed with Windows 7 if I'd tried 10 out before installing.
