Okay, I got over my tantrum about being 3 short days late ordering the A-10c to qualify for the free map.... Ordered! I'm sure it will be worth every penny and it's a decent deal with the two free campaigns, I've been looking forward to some nice missions for the F-15c anyway...

DCS2 is free, you pre ordered the Nevada terrain which is optional. But yeah, it's a good indication that DCS2 will be here around about that time.

It says prior to the 21st, so maybe not, I bought mine two days later, quite annoying. Hopefully you'll be okay though.

Nice to see this finally up for order. I shall buy it. Can anybody remember what date the A-10c Beta ended? I can't remember if it was in Beta when I got it or not, I know I paid $60 way, way back in the day is all.

Try to be more clear next time... We're already getting a Tornado by another company (VEAO) It will likely be the GR.1 and I'm excited by this. A Viggen would be a huge seller among DCS customers I am sure. LS have showed no kind of greedy nature so you should probably keep opinions such as that to yourself. If they continue making products to the standard of the Mig 21, they deserve every penny they earn anyway...

I do, all too well... But then I've never complained about DCS delays either. Bf4 Is a pretty good game these days... Time works wonders.

Hmmm, I'll be lazy with you I think and let others test it ;) I don't really want two DCS installs on my new SSD tbh. I'll probably just go ahead and install DCS again which will tie me over at least. I have the SU-27 DLC campaign to try out.

Have we heard any further suggestions yet as to whether a fresh install will be beneficial to DCS 1.5 (and 2) Or is an update expected to be fine. I only ask as since my SSD failed, I haven't re-installed DCS in anticipation of the update, but the wait is becoming painful lol...

Fortunately, a Lancaster is on the way to DCS via VEAO. :thumbup:

Thanks, the invitation returned a few days after posting so I have just upgraded to Windows 10. I'm in two minds, it seems quite smart and what not. But the first thing I saw is a candy crush app which killed the experience a bit, why is that rubbish here? I'm not a fan of the apps etc at all but at least they aren't as intrusive as on windows 8. I also can't seem to change the default program for opening jpegs, I'm trying to set Irfanview which is far superior to the windows photo viewer. If I change the option within Irfanview, it doesn't save. And if I go to the windows default page, irfanview is not an option, just windows photo viewer, paint and the app store. Am I missing something? Simple things like putting photos and music folders where they were in Windows 7 also seems like a chore, but I'm sure I'll figure it out... Mixed bag so far. I probably would have stayed with Windows 7 if I'd tried 10 out before installing.

Same people that tried to put a stop to the F-16 they are now raving about in comparison to the F-35... ;) The Falcon did okay in the end I think.

So my SSD failed on me, it seems that was the reason I couldn't upgrade. I have now installed a new Samsung 1tb 850 evo SSD and re-installed windows 7. But my Windows 10 upgrade has disappeared from the bottom right corner, any ideas? I am under the impression it has to be installed from there, or can I simply download and install it myself without the invite?

You will get your F-16 eventually I am sure. And rest assured we all want it just as much as you. When it's time comes I'll be over the moon. But that time isn't yet it seems so try to enjoy the other aircraft in the mean time. A viggen would be a real treat! As for it looking like a paper airplane, well I've seen it many times at UK airshows over the years, as a kid and an adult. It never fails to impress seeing that huge, noisey jet moving around the sky so elegantly. It's a truly powerful machine.

The Gripen is on the VEAO road map. I'm a big fan of Saab aircraft so I'm very happy to see a few teased at least. You're most likely alone with that one ;) Isn't that half the fun anyway?

No, just no. The DCS: P51d has a pretty good flight model imo, it's probably the best WW2 era sim I've ever flow in terms of just the actual aircraft functions and feeling.

I've almost bought the Asus Rog Swift a few times lately, but it seems like a real good time for monitors lately so I'm waiting to see what comes out over the next few months. I have a 144HZ Asus screen now and wouldn't want to go any lower again, but I am wanting to upgrade from 1080p.

I know we shouldn't get excited until anything is announced officially. But the prospect of a Viggen does put a huge smile on my face. Just putting it out there though to add to the speculation.... Doesn't Fullback mean Duckling in Russian? SU-34 anyone ;)

While nothing official has been announced, the logo was a pretty decent indication that an F-5 may be in the works. And then in the next video, an F-5 Was sat on the parking gate, Matt playfully quipped, oh, what's that doing there. I doubt he would troll I us like that if it weren't at least in the long term plans. It would be a great addition to DCS World.
