Pilot always die when F/A-18C is hit by (any) missile
Lord Vader replied to ricnunes's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello @ricnunes It's all related to the points of impact, varying from case to case, mostly if you expose the cockpit to the blast, there's a strong chance the pilot won't survive, this is why it's important to manoeuvre correctly when being hunted by an AAM or SAM. Due to the randomness of how missiles or projectiles hit the aircraft, it's hard to make any analysis based only on what you're writing. Nor can we make fair comparisons like you do with other models, because of different structural designs and/or depth in their own design as a module. In fact, if you do want to compare the F/A-18C to other modules, like the F-16C, the survival record of the F/A-18C upon missile impact seems quite acceptable in our tests. -
ACM Radar not recentring after losing lock
Lord Vader replied to Lixma 06's topic in Bugs and Problems
@Lixma 06 I was finally able to reproduce it. Thanks for your persistence. Reported internally. -
ACM Radar not recentring after losing lock
Lord Vader replied to Lixma 06's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello @Lixma 06 I too can't reproduce this issue. There is another bug reported regarding the antenna elevation when the target enters gimbal limits, but not the azimuth. At first I thought this could be related but apparently not. Please check if you have mods installed and try to make a repair. After that, if the problem persists, let us know. -
reported Unlimited Weapons Maverick Bug (Freezing, Jittering)
Lord Vader replied to Lixma 06's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello @Lixma 06 Thanks for bringing this to us, I've raised this internally. -
I just need to understand what you're trying to report because if this is a case of added deltas it's not really a bug. Regarding that track, please try to reproduce your error in a simple single-player mission for our analysis. Usually long duration tracks in MP servers don't replay well.

Hello @SexyTomato I don't know what you're trying to achieve by doing what you're doing in this track. You stop and restart the alignment procedure various times, moving the aircraft between attempts and not inputting and confirming new coordinates when you do so. I can't imagine why would a pilot do this. Of course the system will fail. Please follow the correct procedures for alignment contained in our DCS: F-16C manual page 163.

Hello @Jel We are reviewing several items involving the AGM-84. Please stay tuned for future DCS updates.

Hello @Pribs86 I'm having trouble understanding what you're trying to report here. Unfortunately, your pictures don't help much explaining further. From what I could understand from your text, using HTS to acquire targets seems to be moving your steerpoints, is that it? Are you talking about added deltas? If so, you should press CZ on your MFD there to reset positions. If you can reproduce this issue (also explain it a bit better), preferably in a simple mission without scripts, please share the track file and we'll have a look.

Hello @skywalker22 What exactly are you expecting from adding 2950ft to the VIP page? According to our DCS: F-16C manual page 315: Elevation difference from VIP (ELEV). Displays the difference in elevation (in feet) of the TGT from the VIP steerpoint. May be modified by placing the DED asterisks over the data field, inputting a value using the ICP keypad, and pressing ENTR. To enter a negative value, press 0/M-SEL to enter a leading zero, which will be input as a negative (–) symbol, followed by the numerical elevation difference value. Your steerpoint for the VIP entry is at 3533ft. By adding 2950ft to your VIP elevation difference, you'll get 6483ft for the TGT box, pretty much where it is depicted in your track. I think you misunderstood the idea of the VIP TGT altitude. Like the distance and bearing, it's created from the original steerpoint, it's not the target elevation. So if you add the value -583ft of altitude difference from the original Steerpoint to the ground level, you'll get the correct ground point for the TGT area.

SPI shifts when FCR GM-lock nearby SAMs emissions
Lord Vader replied to falconzx's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello @falconzxtruly a strange event. Reported internally, thanks. -
Hello @admiki Please allow some time to test and verify conditions. All reports are looked into but please remember we need time and resources to look into many other issues. I've raised this internally for analysis.

LOBL mode possibly not working correctly
Lord Vader replied to ouky1991's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi all. There haven't been any changes applied to missile trajectory lately. Furthermore, we would like to know where are you basing your statements about trajectories. We've made tests and the RF missiles, including employment against aerial targets, are working as described in page 501 and on of our DCS:AH-64D manual. If you feel this is incorrect, please supply publicly available unclassified documentation via PM to @BIGNEWY and we'll have a look. -
George's IHADSS too bright for low-light conditions
Lord Vader replied to Lixma 06's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello @Lixma 06 I assume you're using keybinds or joystick buttons for this. However, the Pilot IHADSS brightness symbology is operated by a rotary knob which allows some level of fine tuning. While the CPG IHADSS brightness symbology is controlled by a TEDAC rocker switch, which may not have the same precision you desire. I can ask if we can increase the brightness levels step, but I'm pretty sure you cannot make such precise adjustments like with a rotary knob. -
Hey @Vinny002 Thanks for letting us know. We usually follow the correct the procedures and may have missed this one.

A/A Radar Attack Format antenna elevation carat and B-sweep swapped
Lord Vader replied to Smashy's topic in Bugs and Problems
Looking into it, thanks. -
@Tunstamj First of all, we may have had some misunderstanding if the issues sound similar, sure, but this is why we ask for tracks. Simply reading a description is sometimes enough but if we cannot reproduced the issue, then we have no way to understand what's happening. A video is also not sufficient most of the times, especially with visual errors in MP. Thank you @Freiwilderer. Please do share that track with us.

I've raised this situation with the developing team and after analysing what was presented, we maintain that we are satisfied with our JHMCS 3D model in our DCS: F-16C and DCS: F/A-18C in DCS World. Some minor items, such as the missing rear cable, may be addressed in the future.

Hello @Moonshine I've tested running GMT and didn't observe a crash. Like @BIGNEWY said, we need those files to understand what you experienced. Could be a local issue.

@Tunstamj The fix that was applied in DCS 2.9.11.4686 from December 24th 2024 was regarding the TADS clipping through the model when turning it all the way to the left side. Please supply a track demonstrating what's happening in that video for our analysis. We cannot reproduce this issue.
