Here's some interesting facts:

is there a way to disable the landing-by-throttle thing?
CoBlue replied to Larkis's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Thanx,. -
EDIT: I could get the 30% on Yak-52 at full price. I thought the bonus was the nr under the price on the main page. But when I agreed to the purchase I could use the 30% bonus, so yes it can be used .
-
AFAIK there's no requirement for a module being out of EA to apply bonus. The Harrier is still in EA while bonus can be applied to it, though 20% only. Just checked & I can only get 20% bonus on ie. Yak-52 & some other modules but not 30%. So yeah, the 30% bonus isn't honored really!

Great  I hope this will turn out for the best! Then I'll definitely buy the Gazelle.

+1000 Please fix the Mig-21 so we can enjoy this iconic bird to it's fullest :(.
-
+1 Yes, we need rotary's & more keybindings for the radio!
-
I have 20 in roll/pitch, tried 15 but my AAR & formation flying suffered. Generally I have 15 curves in all planes. Funny thing is I have 0 curve on the M2000C which is an FBW but I need 20 for the F18.

Thank you:thumbup:. I Didn't know I could combine SSAA, MSAA, FXAA. Some threads here about graphics & performance are a little misleading & confusing....same with various video's on youtube ;).
-
Ok, did that still the same results, even with clean default NCP? See pix, x2 SSAA in game nothing in NCP:(. You mean use SSAA & MSAA together in game? What setup do you recomend in NCP & in game if you were to use SSAA?
-
Thank you! will do & report back .
-
I'm using only internal SSAA , MFSA off in NCP & ingame. But SSAA isn't doing a thing?
-
I can't get SSAA to work on my card. It's not doing anything! I set up everything as per this: , but the AA is just awful. MSAA works fine. Any ideas?

This I understand, everything is as it should be. But how do you explain MBot's picture. What doe's the high/fast Fin tell him? That he will arrive at a to fast speed, compared to his planned speed, at WP? & -22sec late? Is the Fin only for inputted FP speed reference?
-
That picture shows exactly what you say. It's not right to me! I don't understand what you mean. How are they 2 different things? Have we misunderstood Viggen's time keeping function? What you say is: if MBot will keep the current speed, -21sec behind time schedule to B1, the Fin will show he's to fast when he arrives at B1. That doesn't make any sense? How can 2 sensors show one to fast & the other to slow over B1? According to you, what's the Fin there for? What difference does it show compared to ck37 time keeping function? He can't be both to slow & to fast approaching the B1? As I understand it: The Fin should show exactly the same deviation as the CK37 time deviation to next WP (B1). Fin should be coupled to CK37's timekeeping function to the next WP. It's a help for the pilot's timekeeping to next WP. (So the pilot doesn't have to look down to much, when he's flying 20m above ground). So if MBot is -21sec behind time schedule to B1. The Fin should should show he's to slow to B1....no? From the manual: "For time keeping purposes the fin indicates a time deviation rather than an airspeed as such." The maximum deviation is one fin-length, which corresponds to a deviation of about 20-30% of the remaining flight time to the target." "Current time and timekeeping information is displayed both in the data panel and in the HUD with the Airspeed Deviation Fin." "Time keeping is displayed as normal on the HUD with the airspeed deviation fin and in the data panel in mode TID/ OUT." "The airspeed deviation indicator will indicate the relative airspeed to required airspeed for arriving at the entered time or a reference airspeed in certain modes. The fin will move up and down depending on the current airspeed compared to the set reference speed (ingress speeds, landing speed etc.).

When I'm level in the grove, on speed & ball centered. If I add a "little power" it gains allot of extra lift & "balloons" as some call it. If I decrease a "little power" nothing is happening & I have to decrease more then "little power", some times all the way to idle. (before the DCS F18 FM was the other way around). What I mean is that the gain & decrease in lift isn't proportional, compered to throttle movement. Is that how the RL jet behaves? Maybe the engine spool-down time is slower then spool-up time? Would be great to hear your explanation on that ./Thanx

Macross mode X-55 (missiles fire fully auto)
CoBlue replied to stubboyo's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That's very strange indeed. Maybe try the F-18 forum or reinstall the F-18 or do DCS repair. -
Don't think so: ;).

Try binding the trigger to some other control input ie. "turn Radar knob clockwise" & see what happens? Are you sure there's no "send continuous command" set in DCS axis or Hud software? Have you tried the free Su-25T or other modules, if the behavior is the same? -
I got the radios(SRS, MP) working with ground-power only, by fiddling with them. Think it was EXT PWR ON & 3 B ON...or something similar.

[FIXED with HOTFIX 3] 2.5.3 openbeta crash(Nevada and Persian gulf)
CoBlue replied to Sonoda Umi's topic in Game Crash
Today's OB, PG map. I Also have several Mission Editor crashes while working within ME. Apparently ME works OK in VR but not on screen....? -
Yes I noticed it too. When doing fast control inputs, sometimes my DCS freezes for 2-5 sec, but I also get small stutters here & there.....F-18 seems most affected. Even though I have +100 fps. I also get it with the AV8B when I switch on navflir.
-
AFAIK wake turbulence isn't modeled in DCS. I've never experienced it, or even heard anybody mentioning it, in AAR, formation flying or formation take-offs. Would gladly be proven wrong though .
-
Latest OB PG Map. Switching on NavFlir at night introduces stutters, micro-pauses for me. Anybody else seeing this? EDIT: To be clear, it's 1 stutter every 7-10sec or so.
