2.5 OB. Made a post about this in AV8B forum, but thought I post it here so you guy's won't miss it...OB & all. It affects all NVG/FLIR aircraft's. See pics & my settings here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3377295#post3377295 The new FLIR, can't see terrain differences, cities, airports, carrier clearly etc. Same with NVG, can't see much & very mushy. Also why so small FOV, only 1 eye?

Yeah it's not like that IRL. The AWLS is also over sensitive & the LOC needles lose the beam to quickly.

It's much better with Global Cockpit Illumination turned on:thumbup:. But still get dark cockpit in certain angles & FLIR is to dark as well.

With Deferred Shading On. If I lower the Gamma so the trees & terrain looks acceptable, the cockpit textures, FLIR(Av8b) & water becomes very dark. It affects more or less all cockpits, way to dark IMO. Seems like Gamma isn't synchronized with terrain & cockpit textures & water. It's either to bright terrain & ok cockpit brightness, or vice-versa. See screen comparison below between 1.5.8 & 2.5. Anything that can be done about that?

I would also like to have Deferred Shading Off, but it's not working now:(.

Correct, I should have wrote: "And in there I modify "Path" to the new DCS World 2 OpenAlpha location."

So, I open in regedit.exe: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha And in there I modify "Path" to the new NTTR location. Is that correct? anything else I have to do?

If I do a clean install, will additional activation be required?

On my SSD 1.5.8 and 2.2 is 106GB, I have 40GB left on my SSD. I also have +500GGB on my mechanical HD. 1: I imagine 40GB free space on my SSD is to small to install 2.5 ? 2: What are my options to install 2.5 on my SSD ? Delete DCS & do a clean install ?

They said that the current Tarawa is just a place-holder for the detailed one or a.k.a "Harrier owner's edition LHA". I recall that the one we have now is the "free" version for the whole community but will be upgraded(for owners) in due time with all the "bells & whistles". Also from the store page: "-Detailed representation of the USS Tarawa (LHA-1), lead ship of her class."

So how do you guys feel about the ergonomics? I'm talking about when flying an HOTAS demanding airplane like A10C & soon F-18/Harrier. Ralfi didn't have good things to say about the ergonomics: Do you guy's agree or disagree?

Can the TPOD be manipulated through HOTAS RL in the AV8B, (like in the A10C)?

I find the canopy scratches very distracting overall. But particularly when I zoom in on the HUD (in ground strafing) the scratches makes it difficult to aim at targets. IMO they're overdone.

I adore the Mi-8, therefore I will love the Mi-24 ;). Also Belsimtek doing it is a huge :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:.

Not criticizing the price of the Viggen & I didn't expect a free map either. Just wondering what happened to it & got my answer. Looking forward towards the "more tricks" :thumbup:.

1 WWII is military! 2 Haven't seen any sport aerobatics competitions w existing modules! 3 You can do sight seeing in any module! vast majority aren't here for sight seeing! 4 Yet it isn't implemented!

The argument that DCS will attract more people because of more civil aircraft's is ridiculous! So is the statement that DCS has the best FM. 1. DCS doesen't offer:RL navaids, RL visual representation of major airports & area scenery's, good ATC SID/STARS (to name a few). And very important an superb weather engine with manual & RL weather functionality with multiple cloud layers & weather themes. 2. DCS don't have the whole world coverage. Flying on 3 maps ain't going to attract civilian pilots. 3. If the free TF-51D hasn't attracted more players, an EagleII won't do a better job. 4. You can't change airplane location or weather on the fly, back/forth replay doesn't work, no slew mode, flight save mode etc. etc. I would never ever want to fly an C-172 or B-747 in DCS. There are other alternatives for that kind of flying. I wouldn't worry at all about DCS becoming more populated with civil airplane's because DCS hasn't got the necessary tools for them. I won't buy the EeagleII, as I think it's out of place in DCS & if I want to fly aerobatics I can do it in any other DCS module ;).

Agree, I still think this is a very bad joke from their part. I mean nobody can take this seriously! As it's totally illogical, not DCS related & will probably lead to the end of this company. Still waiting for the real reveal ;).
