I didn't say we have to see the per-release stuff, Cobra said that those stuff would come before release & they haven't. Don't shoot the messenger! . And if HB have changed their minds about the marketing videos etc., they certainty havn't communicated it. Yes that stream was grate, but we still didn't see the RIO cockpit & it's systems, thus my thoughts about the holdup.....before summer is my expectation, no need to hype for me. :smilewink:

Have we seen the, well in advance before release promised: manual, youtubers getting per-release, in depth system videos & most importantly RIO Cockpit??? Nope! so unless Santa is real, forget about December. This summer Cobra said that end of 2018 was the "worst case scenario" & that we'll "get it definitely before 2019", then 2 month's ago it changed to "still targeting December but flagging for winter 2019". BTW it was the same story with Viggen ;). My guess is that there's something really game-breaking, either with multi-crew, Jester or RIO cockpit & that's why they haven't showed us anything coz if they would, people would be really disappointed. I understand if it's not ready, it shouldn't be released & I personally don't have a slightest problem with that. Hey, my expectation right now is next summer anyway . What I do have a problem with is the lack of communication. Especially since HB have had our money for 2 months now & Cobra promised an update at the end of November, about where they stood in the development. That never happen! Personally I think it's kinda disrespecting towards the Pre-Purchase customers :notify:.

My advice to you is don't buy the AV8B. It will save you allot of headaches, regarding to bugs, slow development & dev. communication difficulties. Go for the F-18, F-5, F-86, Mig-15, L-39, all without any major "headaches" ;).

Steering RB-05A with flight stick doesn't work
CoBlue replied to Redglyph's topic in Bugs and Problems
A workaround that works for me is to set a modifier (any button will do, you don't have to press it) with the joysticks pitch, yaw axis for Rb-05. You still have to use "Rb05 switch input with flight stick (hold)" button. -
Doesn't matter if it works when you roll in from 4000' or do pop-ups. This is not an F-86 where you have to have a certain dive-profile. Gun accuracy should work if you're at 200' and shooting within & just below max-range, but it ain't working.

** UPDATE: Ground Radar 2.0 & Multiplayer Flight Planning **
CoBlue replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Awesome, looking forward to try the new Ground-radar capability & Multiplayer FP! Super nice work HT . The auto generated ATTACK is always off according to the maker & not so useful for precision weapons (Bk90). Is this being worked on? -
F-14 Gameplay live today "this Saturday evening" (no clickbait)
CoBlue replied to GrizzlyBear83's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I really enjoyed the stream, much much better then the usual teasers. It takes confidence & allot of coordination to do a live 1.5h stream, great job Heatblur . -
I also think the wing-down tendency is exaggerated when releasing a weapon e.g.Maverick. The only thing I can compare with are other DCS airplanes with the same weapons that don't show this behavior. Also found this in "I’m a Harrier pilot in the USMC...AMA!" that Cornelius linked to: "In DCS when firering an Maverick, you get tremendous unsymmetrical load, is it like that IRL? - Assymetric loads in conventional flight are not that bad with the LMAV."

** Anytime, Baby! - NEW TRAILER & TRACK PREMIERE **

Awesome video! I noticed the HUD refresh-rate was pretty smooth, compered to previous video's, has it changed? -
[INVESTIGATING]AIM-9X on LAU-127 Pylon seeker limits of AIM-9M
CoBlue replied to Quaggles's topic in Bugs and Problems
Confirmed & Good find Sir . So that's why some of my 9x behave so strangely when loaded on Lau127-pylons. -
Not quite right. Position is given in bearing/distance from the carrier “Mother”. 250 for 55, means the aircraft is on the 250 radial from "Mother" at dist. 55nm, but since it's flying towards "Mother" it's heading is 070°. You take the reciprocal of your magnetic bearing to the carrier, that gives you the radial you're on. The end of the TACAN needle is your radial from the station. (regardless of your heading). Now, sometimes that "end of the TACAN needle" or radial can be obscured on the F-18's DDI display. Then you use 2/2 or 200/20 rule to get the reciprocal, essensially you're adding or substracting 180°. Ex. Your TACAN shows 143°(below 180), in the upper left corner on DDI. Add 2 to the first digit, and subtract 2 from the second digit, leave the last alone. 1+2=3, 4-2=2, leave last,= 323° is reciprocal of 143°. If above 180 -2,+2, leave last...349°=169°. So >180 -2 +2, leave last. <180 +2 -2, leave last.

1:st Join a squadron, allot of new SOP's, cooperation, comms, tactics etc. to learn. You get most of DCS by being in a squad. 2:nd Can you fly IFR? In UH-1 you can do ILS approaches in 100m visibility, in Mi-8 NDB approaches. In F-18, single engine CASE III. or TCAN approaches etc. Try it it's fun & all mil. pilots are IFR rated.
-
I was wondering why the tight CASE I pattern is preferred instead of straight in approaches on the carrier, thinking F-18 here. What was the disadvantages of straight in approaches vs. CASE I pattern?

Care to explain? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3679136&postcount=26

Why aren't you addressing the frustration many of us have with AV8B's development pace? Nothing was mentioned about the slow down of the updates? AV8B is supposed to be finished this year https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php...09&postcount=1.

Hey man. I tested Kobuleti, Krymsk, Anapa, Mozdok, Krasnodar. Air-start. Chanel's are correct, Land mode on, RSBN on, course set correct, 1000m, 25km out, straight in app. I get RSBN distance & PRMG localizer needle. But I don't get any glide-slope & the white lower square is white on HSI?
-
Now I can't get PRMG to work on any airport in Caucasus ???

The development has been in a stand-still for 2 month's just look here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=204693&page=2 . Last major update was August 29 both here & on FB. What major updates did we get the last 2 month's? The Hud can be moved to MFD....seriously 2 months? The development progress has been very disappointing lately! But hay don't worry, it's all fine & dandy . The AV8B is supposed to be finished in 2018 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3536909&postcount=1 only 2 month's left & we'll have an finished AV8B :pilotfly:.

The moving-map brightness has been implemented in the F-18 a month ago!

2:st pic is vital when eg. flying helis in 2D, due the lack of depth also that we don't have true peripheral vision on our monitors. My zoom in & out is fast. I don't see any problems here!
-
You guy's said Jetwash is implemented & quite pronounced. AFAIK that's the 1:st module in DCS that will have Jetwash / Wake Turbulance in DCS. And it should be really highlighted . Will Jetwash effect other ,non HB F-14 modules, e.g the F-18, when behind the F-14? Will it work on the ground & ship also? when e.g at take-off, launch, formation take-offs, taxing? Can you explain how you manged to implement it?

is there a way to disable the landing-by-throttle thing?
