Thanks Brisse Just so happens that i've just been reading a review about a Sapphire card, seems like a decent card. I'll probably pay the extra for the 390X simply because i tend to keep my hardware for years until there's something out there that's really worth replacing it with. I use a dual monitor setup consisting of a 37" 1920 x 1080 TV screen (DVI-D) and a small 1366 x 768 (HDMI) monitor for my two MFD's, i'd imagine that it's straight forward procedure to set them up with AMD software ??. It's been years since i last had an AMD card so i really don't know that much about them or their drivers at the moment. Cheers.

Thanks. I'll look at either the MSI's or Sapphires then. I use a program called nvidia inspector in conjunction with my EVGA 670GTX which allows me to use 1/2 refresh rate. When i'm struggling to achieve 60 fps i can switch into 1/2 refresh rate and it can really smooth things out. Is there an equivalent program available for AMD or can the same 1/2 refresh rate be achieved through AMD's driver ?. In theory if the R9 390X is that much faster then the 670 GTX then hopefully i might never have to use it, but it's useful to have. Is it really worth paying the extra for 390X over the 390 ?.

Possibly thinking about replacing my old EVGA 670 with a R9 390X card, would you guys say that the ASUS and Sapphire brands are the ones to go for then due to their better coolers ?. Yeah i've downloaded the .exe and tried installing from it. Exactly the same problem as the original poster, it's saying that DCS Version 1.2.14.36041 must be installed..... I have checked and i do have the latest version installed. Thanks...

I had the same problem so i just copied my scripts folder located :- C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts into C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts .... and Helios started working in V1.2.7 :) Hope that helps...

Just downloaded and installed V126 Huey and the right hand side pilots fixed sight is no longer coming down as it used to in V125. Is there a new keystroke for operating the right side pilots sight ?, pressing "M" now only operates the the Left hand side pilots flexi gunsight.

Have been using this MOD for a couple of weeks now and i'm really liking the Dynamic effect when you look at the sun.... However when i'm looking directly at the sun i'm not seeing the sun rays....... well not until i look a few degrees below the sun and then they appear. I'm using a dual monitor setup (1920x1848 ), but i'm only actually using 1920x1581... it's all i need for my main view point plus exporting my two MFD's. Peter i'm a little worried that you may just miss out on your "Rep" target :cry: Statistically speaking it's not looking good... Up to now you have made 4611 posts and have earned 88 "Rep" points... That equates to 52.39 posts for every one "Rep" point earned... Your 389 posts short of that magic 5000, meaning that going by your track record your going to earn another 7 or 8 "Rep" points...... possibly 4 short of your target :mad:.... Tried to Rep you again to give you a better chance but it's saying that i have to spread the Rep around before i can give you some more !!!. Yes, you don't even need to launch LOMAC after you have installed it. Once you have launched FC3 you can then go ahead and uninstall LOMAC.

You keep churning out quality modules and we'll keep buying them :thumbup: ...... that's the kind of enthusiasm we have for your products :)....

If they made the software donation-ware for current FC3 owners :), i'd happily give them $10 for the additional FC3 content...... just on principle !!!..

LOL.... It was the first time that i was able to defeat all 16 missiles that they fired at me and in the three years ive been playing DCS i have never ever seen a Tunguska fire it's cannons....... so when they didn't open up on me i felt disappointed and a little let down :cry: :lol:....

Noticed yesterday when i was playing a simple mission of (me) a single A-10C against two SA-19's that once the SA-19's had expended all their missiles i could circle around them very close and they never engaged me with their cannons..... They were tracking me, but they never fired on me ????....

Hello I'll refer you to this post (No 5) as the problem that your having sounds to be very similar... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=103102&highlight=peterp+monitor+resolution I have never used the phantom monitor.exe before so i can't vouch for it but from what i've read about it the idea is that it will force your main DCS window to start at X=0,Y=0 coordinates. Hope that helps you....

Viper is using the IR Maverick which has much better range and target locking ability. You look to be using the TV Maverick which relies on contrast and in certain conditions may never be able to lock a target up...... about 4-5 miles is about right for the TV sensor.
