I'm running Win 7 64 bit. Even with the original Nvidia 670 card installed it's no longer booting past its initial POST checks now. It passes it's memory checks and video checks but then the Boot LED stays on and the screen flashes for about four seconds. It then gives one long beep and four short beeps indicating that it has a hardware failure, I can't even get into the BIOS now. I've tried doing a reset with the CMOS jumper and removing the battery on the motherboard but this has had no effect. If I really can't get the above working im seriously considering buying a new processor/motherboard combo as I've had the above i5 2500k for 4 years. I can get a ready assembled i5 6600k/Asus Z170-K motherboard overclocked to 4.6Mhz for a decent price, are the i5 6600k skylakes any good?. Thanks.

Yeah already tried that. I put my old Nvidia 670 GTX back in and it boots up fine.

Hello Just installed a new R9 390X Graphics card into my 4 year old ASUS P8P67 PRO Motherboard. Everything looks good, the card was carefully installed, properly inserted and both 8 pin power connectors are connected. When i press the power button the motherboard starts it's self checks during it's initial bootup. Both DRAM sockets are checked first and both pass ok indicated by a Red LED next to each memory slot that lights for a couple of seconds and then extinguishes. When the self check gets to the Video card the red LED next to it lights up but does not extinguish indicating that there is a problem with the Video card. I'm guessing that this is some kind of incompatibility issue between the R9 390X and the ASUS motherboard. Current BIOS is :- Model Name P8P67PRO Version 3207 Release Date 04/13/2012 So the BIOS is over 3 years old. I don't really know what i'm doing so some questions. 1) Whats the easiest way to update the BIOS on the P67 Pro motherboard (i'll start UTubing soon so will probably answer that question myself). 2) Where's the best place to get the latest and correct version BIOS for the P67 PRO Motherboard. 3) When i upgrade the BIOS will i loose all my previous BIOS settings, i.e all my overclocking settings etc. I really don't want to send this card back without doing everything that i can so is there anything else that i should be checking/updating. Thanks Brisse Just so happens that i've just been reading a review about a Sapphire card, seems like a decent card. I'll probably pay the extra for the 390X simply because i tend to keep my hardware for years until there's something out there that's really worth replacing it with. I use a dual monitor setup consisting of a 37" 1920 x 1080 TV screen (DVI-D) and a small 1366 x 768 (HDMI) monitor for my two MFD's, i'd imagine that it's straight forward procedure to set them up with AMD software ??. It's been years since i last had an AMD card so i really don't know that much about them or their drivers at the moment. Cheers.

Thanks. I'll look at either the MSI's or Sapphires then. I use a program called nvidia inspector in conjunction with my EVGA 670GTX which allows me to use 1/2 refresh rate. When i'm struggling to achieve 60 fps i can switch into 1/2 refresh rate and it can really smooth things out. Is there an equivalent program available for AMD or can the same 1/2 refresh rate be achieved through AMD's driver ?. In theory if the R9 390X is that much faster then the 670 GTX then hopefully i might never have to use it, but it's useful to have. Is it really worth paying the extra for 390X over the 390 ?.

Possibly thinking about replacing my old EVGA 670 with a R9 390X card, would you guys say that the ASUS and Sapphire brands are the ones to go for then due to their better coolers ?. Yeah i've downloaded the .exe and tried installing from it. Exactly the same problem as the original poster, it's saying that DCS Version 1.2.14.36041 must be installed..... I have checked and i do have the latest version installed. Thanks...

I had the same problem so i just copied my scripts folder located :- C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts into C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts .... and Helios started working in V1.2.7 :) Hope that helps...

Just downloaded and installed V126 Huey and the right hand side pilots fixed sight is no longer coming down as it used to in V125. Is there a new keystroke for operating the right side pilots sight ?, pressing "M" now only operates the the Left hand side pilots flexi gunsight.

Have been using this MOD for a couple of weeks now and i'm really liking the Dynamic effect when you look at the sun.... However when i'm looking directly at the sun i'm not seeing the sun rays....... well not until i look a few degrees below the sun and then they appear. I'm using a dual monitor setup (1920x1848 ), but i'm only actually using 1920x1581... it's all i need for my main view point plus exporting my two MFD's. Peter i'm a little worried that you may just miss out on your "Rep" target :cry: Statistically speaking it's not looking good... Up to now you have made 4611 posts and have earned 88 "Rep" points... That equates to 52.39 posts for every one "Rep" point earned... Your 389 posts short of that magic 5000, meaning that going by your track record your going to earn another 7 or 8 "Rep" points...... possibly 4 short of your target :mad:.... Tried to Rep you again to give you a better chance but it's saying that i have to spread the Rep around before i can give you some more !!!. Yes, you don't even need to launch LOMAC after you have installed it. Once you have launched FC3 you can then go ahead and uninstall LOMAC.

You keep churning out quality modules and we'll keep buying them :thumbup: ...... that's the kind of enthusiasm we have for your products :)....

If they made the software donation-ware for current FC3 owners :), i'd happily give them $10 for the additional FC3 content...... just on principle !!!..

LOL.... It was the first time that i was able to defeat all 16 missiles that they fired at me and in the three years ive been playing DCS i have never ever seen a Tunguska fire it's cannons....... so when they didn't open up on me i felt disappointed and a little let down :cry: :lol:....
