  1. The one in the vid is being flown at 30 knots when next to the ship and transitioning across the deck - so not hovering but travelling at the same speed as the ship. Important to note that the pitch is being controlled by the engine and not the conventional control surfaces in slow flight, so the two reaction jets, one in the front and one in the back end push the nose/tail up.
  2. Great skin on that RAF Eurofighter :) Looking forward to this one.

    F-15E?

SandMartin, the 'classic mask' is the Gentex MBU12/P. Getting a new face piece is very, very expensive..thankfully not the case for the DCS version ;) The 15E is going to be epic.
  4. Hi Ninja, Just some back ground to our scheme choice: Historically (pre-Razbam endorsement) we've been a 'UK heavy' team hence the British flag, although we also have European team members from France and the Netherlands. As neither country operated the Harrier, and the original Harrier was a British design, we decided to pay homage to that and decided on a UK style scheme. We love the Av8B, although personally I'd like a GR7 as I spent some years working on Harrier Squadrons, but I'm enjoying being spoilt with the AV8B's Big Engine, weapons set and the gun! You may see the scheme change in the future, as with any team we like to stay current. Best Regards, Vanquished
  5. Bagpipe, the Army were great a great bunch and very kind at giving lifts to the accom from the gate when one had over indulged on Keo and Meze..:megalol: not that it ever happend :music_whistling:
  6. Following your post Grigoris I edited my autoupdate_settings.cfg. After a bit of trial and error it eventually worked! I changed the files about a bit and added a program files folder -> E:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World and used the 'DCS updater' utility to update the program, worked like a charm, thank you.
  7. Same thing here, looking at the wrong drive D: when it's installed on E: with save games in username on C:. I'm not updating yet, checked the ED registry entry and it's pointing to E:\. Help please.

    Just, pitty!

ADHS, the mission editor will only allow you to load missiles/bombs and other expendables based on what the real aircraft carries. Unfortunately an A10 full of AMRAAMS isn't likely, not unless you can code/modify the program, same with the Mirage. You can still defensive A2A in the A10 though..and Hornets/Tomcats still get tagged by Aim-9's. :)
  9. Thanks ED, brilliant to try out the F-5, Mig-19, FW-190, the suprisingly good Yak52 (I'd previously written it off as being 'boring/meh') and the CEII ('nuff said). I'll be spending some dingo dollars on some of these modules soon.
  10. Covid-19 takes priority over our favourite game. Almost every industry in the West and East has been heavily affected by it so wouldn't be suprised if there is a delay. Personally there are bigger things to worry about than the release of Super Carrier.
  11. I'll have a look and see if that's the issue, otherwise I'll up a track file as requested. Cheers. Thanks for the suggestion on the Warthog throttle flap setting, the Viper works fine now.
  12. I join a hot start jet on single or multiplayer and the HUD/MFDs switch off, then the jet shuts down. Is this a bug?
  13. We had exchange pilots from just about every major western platform on Typhoons, they all seemed to think it was very good at BVR/WVR, even the Eagle drivers.
  14. It already is part of the Fc3 pack. Seriously, I think you'd find the Eurofighter/ F2000A/Typhoon (don't mention 'Typhoon' to the Luftwaffe...) performance pretty eye watering, more so than the Eagle.
  15. :megalol: You sound like a sales person. Without breaking any secrets acts, Typhoon has won and continues to win against F15 both BVR and close in, that tells me that it isn't to shabby. Both aircraft are evenly matched and it often comes down to tactics, pilots skill, the helmet/systems, and a bit of luck. F-22 on the other hand..
  16. Because it's so posh it has two names. Mr. Dave Lightning II-Joint Strike Fighter.
  17. Well said. It does what I want it to do, which is aeros and ground attack. Good fun module, I manage to enjoy it how it is, despite being constantly reminded by the glass is half empty brigade that I shouldn't be enjoying it because 'X' isn't working properly. As I: a) Don't use 'X', so it doesn't bother me. b) Don't know what 'X' is for so it doesn't bother me. c) Just don't care about 'X' if it isn't useful for nap of the earth low level bombing or 6 ship formation Aeros.
  18. Care to enlighten us on which platforms you are referring to in your last sentence? Otherwise it smacks of baseless Wiki twaddle.
  19. When you're sat in an aircraft flicking switches, you can't normally hear them move, especially if the avionics and APU are powered up. In this way the switch sounds in game are often over played. Remember, in the simulation you're supposed to be wearing a helmet, one of the purposes of which is to cut down on the ambient sounds in order to protect your virtual hearing. Most fast jet pilots also wear a secondary form of hearing protection so that reduces in cockpit sound even more.
  20. Nice. A few observations, just my opinions and not a criticism. BTW I didn't have sound on, so some of the points below may not be relative. 0.23 patrol infrastructure - patrol civil infrastructure visual check - visually check 0:32 accent - accents 0:41 suggest change to plot driven story line or story driven campaign 1.32 more than 140 pages of mission documentation 2:15 and of course a whole lot of Suggest use of sentence case rather that using 'Caps Through the Sentence' just for continuity. I look forward to flying your campaign! :)
  21. That mentions Lua?
  22. It's got an angle rate bombing system and a laser spot tracker, but I'm not sure exactly what you're asking.

    AV-8B MLU

Very nice...would look good in a GR.7
  24. A 2 seat Jaguar? It looks nicer than the single seat but what would you do in the back with no radar to fiddle with? It’d take twice as long to leave the earth with the weight of a second pilot as well. :megalol:
