remember, the only fuze you can adjust its settings in the jet is the FMU-152 (which the CBUs dont have). for every other fuze you need to select the desired fuze settings via the ME or via the F-10 ground crew menu. then in order to get correct release parameters based on the fuze settings of the bomb, you need to tell your jet what the fuze settings of the loaded bombs are by adjusting the values in the SMS. all you do is tell the jet what parameters the bomb has, you can not change the bombs parameters by changing the SMS values. and until we get some sort of weapon delivery planner and DTC you will have to do it manually.

so bottom line (despite it working previously) it now requires direct line of sight, bomb on coordinates is no longer valid as unless you try to hit a massive building, you wont hit anything. sad to see it changed that way and stays that way until its refined. hope it wont take months until that. its a rather core part of using those weapons in adverse weather conditions with no LOS -

while i see the same thing regarding follow-on mavericks, i could not see the CMS thing. worked all fine on my end. i changed programs, i switched modes, never turning it to off and nothing out of the ordinary happened -
it is what you need to do. boresighting is done at a certain distance, so anything above that distance and anything below that distance will look slightly off. only at the exact distance you boresighted will the mav and the tgp perfectly match. which is relatively hard to get right that perfectly. if anything, the very perfect boresight (without ever boresighting beforehand) of other modules seem to be a bit of "wizardry"

true. turning GPS time off and on again (or in this case ON - OFF - ON as its somehow on off per default) does not adjust the time at all -
Okay, understood, bomb gets INS from the jet, GPS only after drop. now why would the bomb get degraded INS data if my jet has a perfect alignment due to having GPS and therefore no INS drift? and why does my TGP look exactly at the right coordinates due to having that perfect alignment but the bomb still misses beyond 5m CEP if it does get the same data as my jet? if that really is as it should be - then please start adding fragmentation damage and proper splash damage as currently you need a near direct hit to destroy even soft targets. Even a miss by 70 feet does not cause something like tracking radar to die. (just had that happen yesterday)

No matter how „fresh“ a slot is, as soon as you overwrite the STN assigned by the ME (by doing it in the jet), your own ship will have an additional green circle behind it -

While i welcome the improvements going into the Q&A part (hope to see more of it), as a customer, the current quality of the module is not acceptable. Yes it is early access, however the decline in quality, the constant issues with systems being broken is not okay. While i dont know the very process after which testing is done prior to releasing a patch, it is questionable how, after 2 minutes of installing the patch and starting the jet in an effort to do an integrated systems test (cold start, align, takeoff, employment of systems and weapons) some major bugs like the boresight and the laser code can be immediately found. „Just enjoy it as it is“ is reeeeally difficult that way and the frustration is noticeable throughout the viper community by the looks of it. This is what i want to see changed and it would be appreciated to hear something about the efforts ED intends to take in this direction -

dear ED, this was a question about the functionality, not a bug report. Just slapping „correct as is“ wont answer the question as to why everyone else can lock on jamming targets but not the viper. thanks -
currently it seems to be impossible to get a radar lock on a jamming target unless you reach burnthrough range (around 27nm) shouldnt it be possible to get a lock but not get range info? after all, the ECM use would increase a contacts RCS. shouldnt we be able to fire missiles with their home on jam capability at the expense of losing their loft mechanics (aim-120)? now even within burnthrough range the amraam doesnt loft - but thats a different topic in the past (about 2-3 updates ago) it was possible to get a lock on something thats jamming, this no longer is the case. is this intended to be that way? OP is right. boresight does not work. upon boresighting the MAV LOS is nowhere near the TGP location (even worse than its non-boresighted original offset from the TGP), not stabilized and the LOS indicator in the HUD does not match the actual picture on the MAV screen. +1 for hotfix. it impacts MP gameplay quite a bit. and i dont even know if its a viper only issue

fixed internally GBU-12 not tracking laser other than 1688

- set up a jet in the ME with laser code other than 1688 (in my test 1511) - set up the laser codes in the DED accordingly and arm the laser - drop bomb -> bomb will miss. - change TGP laser to 1688 -> drop next bomb -> hit track attached so since the patch, the laser guided bombs do not care about the laser code set up via ME or via kneeboard prior to adding power to the jet GBU-12_not-tracking-laser.trk
