  1. Got one myself so I'm not in, but had to comment on the "swirly magic!" LOL! Cool idea, good on you Ells, yet again, some cool pics here! You are the man, xaoslaad!
  2. Almost a year later, and I am also sorry to re-animate the dead, but is this broken again? I am only dabbling in triggers for the first time with the Hawk, and cannot get BDU-33's to register. I drop in a bigger and bigger zone, and still no register of 2 of 6 bombs dropped in a 3,000 meter zone. Is is still working for anyone else?
  3. UH-1H for $15? SOLD!!! Crashing a lot in the Huey sounds like a fun way to spend my time whilst waiting for the Hawk to become available! :pilotfly: Off I scamper, as, at this price, I can't resist!
  4. I agree on it being the "it's a software thing" statement. The error message I get while flying the F-15C, twice in a row now, pretty much confirms it for me;
  5. Well, yeah, they do, but I get what you're saying, and the S.A. in me just couldn't leave it alone...
  6. Cheers, LuckyBob, I will have to try it and see...
  7. I'd like to go the opposite direction, as in purchase though Steam, which I use for other games, and utilize in my heavily tweaked DCS World build. I thought it would be a good way to max out my collection on the inexpensive side, as I will not even contemplate buying some of the modules at full price...
  8. I am pretty exclusive to the A-10C, and have noticed that about 15% of the time wingmen can be bloody brilliant, whilst most often, they are SAM/ZSU magents and nothing more. There were some patches where that percentage level increased, and others where it seemed to decrease. If you go up expecting them to actually assist, you will, more often than not, be disappointed...
  9. Was a rhetorical question, and I got a legitimate answer? Outstanding! Many thanks Skatezilla, I figured I would need to do a total un, then re-install. Will give this a go, thanks again!
  10. Great. 3 of 4 missiles from the A-10C missed, the wingman is back to saying "negative," and "unable" when tasked, and the comms are sticking on screen. How do I roll back an "update?"
  11. Holding your breath around here will get you turning blue and falling over. Heck, I'm still waiting to fly over Nevada again, and it's only been 5 years or so...
  12. My thoughts, `zactly...
  13. I saw Draugr, I thought Skyrim. Yes, that is my other guilty pleasure when not bombing the snot out of armor in the trusty Warthog. Draugr's are as described above, and quite fun to do in, especially with the Dawnstar blade, as they tend to detonate! Sounds like fun, will have to give it a whirl. Thanks IADC...
  14. Be aware that "training" for FC3 needs to be downloaded via an install link, and that it is 3.3 GBs of videos. Unfortunately they still have the "press escape to take over control" bits, which does nothing but stop the video. And the video is very low resolution. It kind of threw me for a loop yesterday, as I have my settings maxed and it looked rather horrible...
  15. FIX: Don't ask him to rejoin after he returns to base. :D It happened in 1.2.3 as well, as I forgot, and did the same. He actually had a clear patch and almost got airborne, as I watched, but clipped some object and cartwheeled to a fiery death...
  16. So, in SP, it is you against a bunch, just not as many as would be present in an MP mission with, say, 4 or more? A little CAP-ing is a big help when rootin' in the weeds in a solo hog. Either way, sounds good, I look forward to giving it a go tomorrow. Thanks for making it available to us unwashed masses... :D
  17. Just flew the SP version, and I gotta say, it was well done, really was getting immersive until the C-17 came in. Was very careful not to hole the runway, dropped the SA-11's, hammered the inbound armor, was doing very well and was keeping an eye on the lifter. I may try again and see if I can tweak that Chinook to clear the active... ___EDIT___ I pathed the Chinook back to the FARP from whence he came, re-flew, and then for some odd reason, the C-17 diverted to Anapa! This is why using the mission editor is so frustrating. I imagine you did a lot of this creating this mission. You did very well, it is just that the game is wonky. I went back and checked the path for the C-17, normally hidden, and it was to land at Novo. Why it diverted is anyone's guess. There was a small crater at the very east end from a `hawg popping a single AKM dude with a GBU-12. Maybe that is why?
  18. Alt+J into that sucker, and let 'er rip! Getting those rascals elevation right for the target is one of the most satisfying aspects of CA. It doesn't speed up the AI firing, but it sure is fun... :D
  19. I never really saw the use of retarded munitions on an A-10. They were originated for fast-movers like the F-111 with automated delivery methods, for low-level, high-speed ripple attacks. There is no way a Warthog can be considered high speed, even if diving from 10,000' or better...
  20. Myself, I just take a look at it in briefing, then figure how far out, and on what radial I will be operating in. Once I have that number, say compass 100 at 35 miles, Anything higher and in that direction, I start peering around outside, and on the RWR gauge. When I hear "merged," i generally panic... :D
  21. That is, indeed, the best option. Hang back, listen to the radio about AAA and SAM kills, and then let loose your wingman with missiles on air defenses, as he picks them out nicely. After all these folks help clear a path to the target, flip your ECM and jammers on, as when they are firing at the bad guys, you'll toss off all your countermeasures. I have finished all 3 campaigns, and converted an A-10A one, but am hungry for more!
  22. Got a little seived up on mission 1, darned MANPADS, but progressed to mission 2 and flew it with only one problem. The helo got hit, which I imagine is gonna happen regardless, so I made a danger close pass just afterward, as I suspected as much, and lobbed an `82 onto the ambushers. Nailed `em, but some shrapnel must've perforated the burning UH-60, as it said I had committed fratricide, and flushed all the kills made on my LTC persona. Bummer...
  23. I cross-posted the pic on my forums for a Senta a Pua member who is sure to enjoy it! Good job, Brazil did fine work with the P-47 Thunderbolt, why not the Thundrbolt II? :D
  24. A big +1 to the latter, or the former as the Aardvarks younger brother. I would, of course, not turn my nose up at an AC-130, either H or J model, thanks very much... :pilotfly:
