  1. Just in case it was missed, I am creating a bug report reference here:
  2. I can confirm. The Shkval display is completely useless as you can't really see anything from a mystique glare, even though in reality it has a glare shield around it and even though, in my case, the sun is shining from above. At some 15km distance I can see nothing on the screen - zooming in through the HUD is more beneficial.
  3. This part applies to DCS? If yes, does this mean that the lock would have worked if I moved the scan zone to center?
  4. Yeah some things are better and some worse in DCS than the real airplane, but that's not the point. The issue is that it can't lock, but it can detect. There's no max detection / max locking distance for the EOS. Real EOS can track up to 15km in a look up, ie. against the sky.
  5. Was this noted some where? I could not find it the change log.
  6. The other day I could not achieve a lock using EOS on a high and cold M-2000C. There was a strong return (4 bars), but the system could not lock the target. I am not able to provide the track as it's corrupt for some reason. This happened in multiplayer. First attempt to lock: Last attempt to lock: Outside view: P.S. Mirage was accelerating through trans-sonic speed range, so I am fairly confident he had his burner on.
  7. I haven't played the mission, but what is the target's speed? Su-27/33 reticle used to start jumping around at high speeds.
  8. I will send you a mesaage on Discord. Sorry, there's no way tonight
  9. If it makes you feel any better, MiG-29 has the same thing. At high speeds, its roll-rate drops significantly. It's what happens in real life also.
  10. There's no specific day, we usually text each other on Discord when ever available, but it's almost always after 20:00 CET.
  11. My self and one other person fly quite often Su-27 and we don't suck too bad either (10 yrs in the Flanker). We are Europe (CET) based. Pop me a message if you are interested.
  12. It should be this one here: Would be amazing if they shared this publicly with the rest of us.
  13. Unless I missed something, we've already concluded (here on forums), that the Flanker is slower to accelerate than a heavier RL Su-30 in that acceleration video, so yes it is underperforming, it's just a question by how much. Since DCS Su-27 is capable of reaching above M 2.0, I would guess that the rate at which engines produce max thrust is the issue, and not the available thrust it self.
  14. Also it looks like it's coming from breaking the sound barrier and not from maneuvering.
  15. And yet J-11A's nav light switch has only two positions: on/off
  16. Vapor should be a function of angle of attack and not the load (G).
  17. Yup, assuming the value is linear, the limit for 1.2M should be around 15 degrees. Actually it was just about the max AoA before the buffet and subsequent (accelerated) stall happens - nothing related to level flight. I did not, however, take into account supersonic flow
  18. Thanks for pitching in @Yo-Yo. I just checked my references and indeed there is a AoA limit based on the Mach number: I guess this is what's being simulated with the buffet. I will double check latter if the tracks coincide with the table.
  19. Hi @Ironhand, could you please provide some more details as why would this be happening? What I mean is: why would the lower AoA cause this at higher altitude? The only thing I can think of is the Mach number, but I am not 100% sure how this would cause the buffet. A part from that, IAS should not matter at all as the stall, ie. flow separation is only a function of AoA and not the speed.
  20. For some reason the Flanker buffets at 15° AoA at high altitude (around 12km), but does not when the same AoA is attained near sea level. As if some different physic are at play at higher altitudes, even though the angle of attack as well as the indicated air speed are (roughly) the same.Tracks in the attachment. Please ignore the part where the AoA goes over 15 degrees, this is not relevant to the issue reported here. Thanks in advance. Su-27-high-buffet.trk Su-27-low-no-buffet.trk
  21. At the moment having ECM on or off has absolutely no effect on AWACS or EWR systems. They identify and locate aircraft as if the ECM is not there. Would be nice if they could also be degraded by ECM.
  22. 27 is also homed in to target's reflection when it reaches 80% of flight path.
