  1. Did it seriously take you guys five full pages to realize the OP was never talking about landing the aircraft? He was clearly stating he was experiencing pitch up movement on takeoff.
  2. I know the CF-18 Demo team cruised at 220 knots at high altitude for their trips, maybe that helps?
  3. It also won't let you fire certain missiles if its locked on a target but not within the ASE steering circle.
  4. What are you talking about? The AIM-7 missile does not radiate. It is guided by the launching aircraft's radar.
  5. Unique to an aircraft that Russia will never put into mass production? Can't wait! :megalol:
  6. How about quotes from the actual pilots involved in the engagement and not a random "contributor" to a magazine? http://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/14344/heres-the-definitive-account-of-the-syrian-su-22-shoot-down-from-the-pilots-themselves
  7. Wait until Russian/Chinese/Iranian planes develop better IR missile countermeasures, then wait for DCS to simulate that. Until then, AIM-9X will not be going away or "nerfed" in the name of "balance" Anyways, the Russians have a long-range IR missile thats literally impossible to know when its coming.
  8. what happens in Kobuleti stays in Kobuleti ;)
  9. yeah, gonna need more specific flight parameters. IMO Hornet loves accelerating past 300 knots
  10. what do you do when you are correcting for slow speed indications then? Enlighten me.
  11. yes - as soon as you feel the aircraft even begin to start falling like a rock, you need to be very aggressive using the throttle in regaining control, trimming back to on-speed, and then small movements on the throttle. Otherwise a Seahawk is picking you up.
  12. That was an interesting go at it. A lot more stick movement rather than the usual trimming for pitch.
  13. its kind of strange that people report two polar opposite behaviors when deploying flaps actually :v either severe pitch down or pitch up movement
  14. Rampstrike? yes: bad landing no: good landing
  15. imo the the ball needs to be clearly visible at 1 mile of the carrier without needing to literally zoom in on the entire HUD to see it, because pilots in RL obviously don't have Elvish eyes
  16. its not a bug, just the US Navy will be very annoyed if you land their multi-million dollar plane anywhere other than a carrier or airfield if its not an emergency ;)
  17. enable the controls display in-game (right ctrl + enter i think) and see if your aircraft is actually pitching up uncommanded or if your controls are doing it for whatever reason
  18. You can lose literally half your airframe and still keep flying. Move over A-10, there's a new flying tank in town 8)
  19. You could launch it at an airborne radar, but unless the target is moving slow and in a straight line the whole time it'll probably miss ;)
  20. Is master arm set to ON and A-A mode selected?
  21. Try selecting GUN first while in A/G then back to stores. Seems to be a quick workaround for that bug at the moment.
  22. Select the MODE pushbutton in the lower area of the EW page. You also need to have the "STBY" boxed (i think...)
  23. Track file attached. Magic starts around the 8:09:40 mark. Autothrottle set to 400 knots, heading select, and b-alt hold selected. After about ten or so minutes, the fire goes out and the aircraft is still flying on autopilot with a dead human pilot inside and worse battle damage than an A-10C.... debriefing log says only the radar altimeter and human pilot died, so MAAAAAAAAYBE only really unlucky shrapnel piece punctured cockpit, in which case the exterior battle damage model needs to be fixed lol magic autopilot and throttle.trk
  24. Map the dispense aft and dispense forward to your hotas instead for a single flare or single chaff. edit: correction, big red button will dump out all your chaff and flares. heh. And yeah, master arm needs to be on.
