  1. That is why we use the invaluable instructions Victory205 gives us. Don't forget the Mustache  Happy Simming, Monnie
  2. Kanstantsin, In the new updates, are there any improvements to the differences in gain from "Hear like helmet" cockpit db levels to then switching to external view (F2) db levels? It's a huge gradient . The external views are very loud in this setting. If you play with "Hear like helmet" off, external views have more of a unity gain. But, it seems all the the communication values and other sound files are geared more to having "Hear like helmet " on. Happy Simming, Monnie
  3. Question Does this mean there will also an update to the nVidia profile for DCS? The current nVidia profile is from April 23, 2009(coming up on 10 years). Still thinks we are on DX9 as well as Geforce Experience does not pick up DCS World being installed. Question Will DCS be adding nVidia Gameworks Software Suite? Question Once the Vulkan API is implemented, will DCS still use Deferred Shading or will DCS use Forward Rendering? Happy Simming, Monnie
  4. Question for ED, Will the JHMCS get the RWR info displayed similar to the RWR info on the HUD? Happy Simming, Monnie
  5. Vikhrs, 1) go to: Options---> MISC--->Check mark "User Snap-View Saving" 2) Open DCS and enter the cockpit. Get the view you want ( I will give you mine below) 3) Once you have the view you want, as you have before, press RALT+Keypad 0 4) Close DCS 5) Start DCS and get to the Cockpit you saved. When you first click on "Fly" you will need to press "Keypad Enter" to get to the FOV you saved. I then enter"Keypad 5" to get center. As well as tell Track IR to center(what ever key or joystick button you use) You should not have to use (RALT+Keypad 0) unless you want to edit the view again 6) You should be at the "saved" view. When you save a snap-view, it makes a folder in your saved games dcs root and edits the snaopviews.lua file Example of the file location: C:\Users\Vikhrs\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\View On line 1282 on my snapview.lua that is my saved settings. Might be different on yours depending on the models you have. Look for ; SnapViews["FA-18C_hornet"] The 13th entry is the non vr saved view. Here is mine (Remember, my FOV is set for my screen, you can try mine or set to your own) If you have any question please feel free to ask. Oh, I should mention, do not use regular notepad to edit *.lua files. I use Sublime Test 3. You can download it here for free https://www.sublimetext.com/3 Happy Simming, Monnie
  6. ED, May we have the "Ultra " setting enabled in the options menu please? I use the ultra settings but 8192 instead of 4096 Happy Simming, Monnie
  7. I have this too. Hope they solve it. Baken, What native resolution is your main monitor? I believe what Greekbull and I am seeing is because we run a 2160P(4K) main monitor resolution. There is some kind of problem when running 2160p with the scaling of the HUD,DDI,AMPCD,etc with or without exporting the DDI's Happy Simming, Monnie
  8. Exactly what Vikhrs said. I enable 'save snap views" in the options. I have my FOV set so the DDI are really 5 inches on my 65" screen to get a realistic size of the cockpit. When I hit "Keypad 5" and "Keypad Enter" this is my default saved center view. This is what my Track IR centers to When I look to the right only, no pitch or other movements, this is perfectly aligned with the hud reference. Hope this helps. Happy Simming, Monnie
  9. Quote from this page https://unigine.com/en/products/engine Depending on the license, a company would look at the purchase vs paying an employee(s) the man hours needed to get to this level. Happy Simming, Monnie
  10. ED Team, How about creating a category for lighting? Ed Forums--->English--->Digital Combat Simulator--->DCS World 2.5--->Bugs and Problems--->Lighting That way we can group together all lighting related previous posts and future posts on lighting Happy Simming, Monnie
  11. As well as, Uniformity. A set standard protocol between all modules. Not half this, half that. Less trouble shooting when all on the same page. For example, in a Company, you do not have 1st Platoon wearing one uniform of the day, 2nd Platoon wearing a different uniform of the day and, 3rd Platoon wearing another different uniform of the day. Happy Simming, Monnie
  12. Could you please post your export cfg here? What resolution is your primary monitor/dcs running during your test? What resolution is your secondary monitor running that receives the export? Please post a capture of your settings/system DCS showing your graphics settings. I gave up on exporting the DDI's/AMPCD's because they were blurry. So, if yours works, it would help Happy simming, Monnie
  13. Thank you. Nice to hear input / impressions from people who actually own one of these aircraft. Happy Simming, Monnie
  14. Unclear answer about Languages Could you please elaborate. The answer is unclear There is Russian. English and Chinese are WIP? There is Russian, English and, Chinese which are all in WIP? All three are WIP? :dunno: Happy Simming, Monnie
  15. I can not speak for everyone. If you feel I am incorrect please say so. If you agree, please say so as well. Topic Consumer's opinion/concerns of the current state of graphical fidelity of how night is being represented in DCSW 2.5. Identified Dissatisfaction I believe that most of the people in this thread are not speaking solely about NTTR and the Las Vegas vicinity. NTTR/Las Vegas vincinity is being used as a well know example for light pollution at night to constructively, maturely, communicate with you, Nineline, to pass on to the developers, the consumer's opinion/concerns of the current state of graphical fidelity of how night is being represented in DCSW 2.5. I truly believe the opinions/concerns are pointed to all the DCSW 2.5 maps beyond just NTTR/Las Vegas vicinity. Overall, the representation of night, night lighting and the graphical fidelity of night, is what we are trying to communicate our opinions/concerns with you, Nineline, to forward to the developers because you are our Community Manager. We are not here to debate the semantics of chosen examples. We are here to report the overall topic of how night is being represented in DCSW 2.5 Solution Debating if there is, if there is not an opinion/concern/problem in the consumer's eye is not the solution. We are all here with the desire to make things better, Nineline. Not to get into debates with you. What do you need from the community to make this happen? Data, references, photographs, tracks, miz files, create support tickets, etc? Please make an outline/format of exactly what you need, Nineline, to be able to present this to the developers as Community Manager. I am 100% confident the community of consumers will gladly give you all the data you need and more if you give them an outline. Working as a team We are all on the same team, Nineline. We all share the same desires to see DCSW be the best there is. Work with us, we work with you, you work with ED. It's a win/win for everyone. This is not about the community against you, nor ED. Let's all stay on the same team and work towards the goal we all share. Go Team DCSW !!! Happy Simming, Monnie
  16. Nineline, That is why there is an options menu for people to adjust for their systems specs. They have the options low, medium, high, ultra, extreme draw distance. Currently now, there are no options to increase the graphical fidelity of the night for people who are not Performance limited. Happy Simming, Monnie
  17. Nineline, Have you ever been to Las Vegas? Have you ever flown into or out of, Las Vegas at night? Everyone that has flown into and has been to Las Vegas knows the light pollution from the city is massive at night. Nineline's example to compare at Full Moon

  19. Was item 10 " Landing gear drag lowered." in DCS 2.5.2 Open Beta Update 7 ? Happy Simming, Monnie DCS World Newsletter - 20 July 2018 Also Skate or any Official Personnel , Can we get this confirmed as there is conflicting information provided It was not listed in the DCS 2.5.2.19641 Open Beta Update 7 nor DCS 2.5.2.19682 Update 7 Hotfix patch notes IvanK says it was not in the patch Chizh says it was included in the weekend news :dunno: Happy Simming, Monnie
  20. Skate, This is still how to turn off seeding? Autoupdate_dev.cfg { "torrent_no_seeding": true } Happy simming, Monnie
  21. Exactly, That's why I don't make overly complex setups. I just put what the real airframe has for hotas, and move on. That way it is easy for times like this Happy Simming, Monnie
  22. Landing gear drag lowered in patch? Wags Mini Update 07-13-2018, 04:42 PM Was item 10 " Landing gear drag lowered." in DCS 2.5.2 Open Beta Update 7 ? Happy Simming, Monnie
  23. Helpful soul chirping in. The following values and settings using the Warthog Throttle AB Detent produces these results on my system: To tune/test: Enter mission on ground and enable active pause. That way you are static and can adjust and tailor the results. Open the controls overlay to track input. Remember: There is a weight on wheels idle and in-flight idle. Your control overlay will show about a 10% lag coming off in-flight idle because the idle is a higher RPM value. 1) Freshly calibrated Warthog using TM Joystick Calibration tool v1.13 a) Idle: 65535(100%) b) Detent: 22267(33.98%) c) Past detent to range limit: 0(0.0%) 2) At sea level with weight on wheels proper idle and no extra travel to move off idle. 3) At sea level with weight on wheels proper 100% RPM at MRT/MIL detent stop 4) At sea level with weight on wheels proper AB once advanced past detent stop 5) Two images below of in game settings. 24. This is the line I would like to eliminate. How would one do that? Happy Simming, Monnie
