This whole thing started with Simon Pearson, ED spilling the beans about Fulcrum A coming to DCS. While ED newsletter did not provide any 'official' announcement, they still said it would be a project after BS3. Few days ago, Simon said Tornado is planned. Again ED denied. I see a pattern here. I wonder what does the next 5 years future hold for DCS...

Fitters are close to my heart, but dropping few renders like that and not saying if it is a module, AI or even DCS is not nice... Kind of like ED employee saying Tornado is planned (sounding official) only to have another employee deny it... If we need, to wait for Octopus news, then why dropping the image before the news? We are mostly passionate about DCS without extra 'unverified tease' Bad taste Octopus.

Wait. Is Sniper working with Octopus? Would be really silly if those were two separate projects, would it not?

Assuming you are the last (or only) one to recover, make sure to request launch via radio menu before taxiing behind JBD. It still issue with cats 1&2 use 3&4. I had it once or twice and the above works 100% of time for me now.

Help Razbam maybe? They could use some map people right now to improve their product. Imagine, four people doing South Atlantic.

It depends on the launch parameters and target. Missile is designed to kill the radar, and yeah sometimes in DCS it will fail to stop the radar from emitting. Best to include details, or even a track file, so that folks can check if it was as desired.

It's unused. Turned out to be something I did not need, an impulse buy I guess... There is nothing wrong with it though...

You can take screenshots in game, for me it is Print Screen button, check yours in controls. Video - you need to use external software, for example Nvidia GeForce experience... ... and also, this question is off topic here, there is a thread for those in the forum already. It wasn't aimed at you personally @Beirut, and yes I am happy to pay for my toys as well. Observing RB discord also seems they are very serious about making the map much better. Fingers crossed.

Can't delete that banana for some reason but anyway, MP discussion should not even be here in the first place. Better mesh and hi-res textures option would increase sales, as people like me would pay for it. It is really that simple. With current sacrifices in place I am not going to pay for it anytime soon, and if it stays like it is now (minus the obvious improvements) not going to pay at all. Fortunately the voting here is with the wallet and not mp/sp affiliation.

This video is making it very clear - Good potential for people intereted only in as realistic scenarios as they can get, bad for aesthetics, as once Wags commented about MSFS that - it looks great from up high but bit so much down low - I wonder what promoted ED to allow this map to base it's terrain on satellite imaginery only. Well, you hate it or you love it seems like it by the community feedback. Video is very good for those who want to make informed decision on development effort support:

ZOTAC is a good card if you do not intend to overclock, and if used in a proper tower. It's all about cooling. ZOTAC so far tends to save the user's $$ by choosing weaker cooling solutions for their cards, which is mostly evident with their 3090 and 3080 cards. I have not had any experience with 3070Ti though. If your PC is built with superior cooling, you are fine. However if you have a small case, or one of those older ones, you may struggle a bit with ZOTAC noise as it will run at its highest to offload all the heat you are asking GPU to produce by forcing it to work hard.

It's not out of the box thinking if one puts satellite image into a game. It's been done many times before and at many times better. If they sold it for $10 I still would not buy it as I would be convinced the map will never be touched by devs again. Many here say it is good from the altitude and because it is large. Well, if one likes to fly airliner, cargo, tanker, bomber (if we even had it in DCS), then maybe yes. Large? Mostly water. Similar experience to free Marianas - better price / quality and still islands + water. Water in DCS, BTW still needs a lot of touch to make it look and behave as real water. EA not for everyone? Sure. I am happy user of EA modules. I will revisit this map in 4 years, maybe it will be improved. I am worried that RB map team is too thin to deliver release anytime sooner.

Same here. The moment I saw the first presentation video I knew it ain't for me until the low level detail is taken care of. I am also convinced it will take years to get it right. Wasn't Razbam map "team" a one person gig mostly? Thanks for the info. Question please, these are the examples of current state of things to correct, right?

Does it really look ready for EA though? Have not seen it that way yet. I reckon closer towards July... Although what would that one month changed one wonders as well.

If nothing changes, it will, lower resolution down low it looks like. But let's wait for the release to judge.. Looks really stunning from, high angle but definitely Syria and Marianas looks much better in the weeds
