  1. Wow, it was so old I already forgot why there was a workaround in the first place.
  2. Same here carrier ops, plus the AAR, we put the thing in the hole, rather than be the hole in Viper. I would love to see triple racks though.
  3. Form user perspective - if you are connecting FROM the location with no internet connectivity, obviously you will need to find a way to connect to the authorization servers. From ED perspective - if authorization server(s) are located in a place where there is no Internet connectivity, they need to re-locate this "online" feature to location(s) where there is Internet. From the Internet perspective - if it is TAKEN DOWN globally, there is no valid option to remediate points above, other than removing the online / offline feature, which I suspect would be highly unwanted by ED. However, I strongly believe that GLOBAL Internet outage would cause problems far more important and severe than inability to play a PC simulation game. Even staying in PC gaming realm, such outage would affect majority of modern games, not only DCS.
  4. At least Petro was told the same before we were.
  5. We will not get it anytime soon I think. The team is busy with other thigs, I am disappointed but expecting the VOs to be one of the last things before it gets to the "released" state. Looking at the current progress pace, I am expecting Q2 2024.
  6. One day perhaps. Wish list item is here
  7. For the Supercarrier and the upcoming S-3B AI asset, are there any plans to include AI-driven recovery fuel flights? Such as, when I contact Mother for recovery, the AI tanker gets in the air and assumes pre-defined carrier orbit so that if I get low on gas I can be sure the tanker is always keeping a pre-defined racetrack orbit relative to moving carrier position. Similar to maybe this scripting https://flightcontrol-master.github.io/MOOSE_DOCS_DEVELOP/Documentation/Ops.RecoveryTanker.html but preferably part of the module itself, so compatible with ANY mission and with ANY user.
  8. Let me be the first to say this. Track or it didn't happen.
  9. Syria terrain update said to be coming with AH-64D
  10. S-3B Viking could carry 16000 lbs of fuel if my memory serves, right? I wonder how much of this load it can give when 100 nmi from the boat?
  11. Extra income for them? Why not.
  12. It's not easy to say what % particular module is at as you would need to define 100% state first. I think: A-10C - is feature completed / (99%?), 1% would be bugs / fixes. A-10C is nearly feature complete with only one item missing AFAIK. F-16C - half way there? F-18C - further than Viper I would say.
  13. When the mission is set with unlimited ammo This is a bug. :)
  14. There is a toggle at the bottom of the screen in ME - show models. Also, be aware of this bug: \
  15. I really like what are you doing @Northstar98 across your posts about inaccuracies. This is an excellent research and I sure hope ED's Terrain team can use this knowledge to improve the product, like they did with bathymetry issue.
  16. It is coming. If it was ready it would be released now, right? I agree with your translation as well, press release campaign can be "Hey it is coming soon" or "hey, available today" or something in between.
  17. It would be interesting to find out what is the issue with bringing it back. Isn't it just the stencil in ME? It was placed there, it was good. WHAT caused it to change? I don't believe this is programmed and an effect of a base code change, or is it? Such a small item and quite large impact for mission builders.
  18. Question via YT: Any update on the Apache release date? Answer: Who knows, maybe even an Early Access video!
  19. Tanker (boom) director lights as an overlay. Similar to Supercarrier ball, added to a wishlist. By Chizh:
  20. Black Shark 3 is the most anticipated module I am waiting for. Apache looks stunningly beautiful but I am not getting it for myself before George can speak to me.
  21. Rusty language skills on my part then.
  22. It looks like it was hit (Treffer) but I don't see any "dead". As far as I know it counts only those units that reported dead activity.
  23. Sounds almost like something in the background is interfering with the files. Antivirus maybe?
  24. Perfect - things I am looking forward to in 2022 are: 1. DCS: F/A-18C Hornet Finalising this fantastic module is one of our top-priorities and our goal is to have the project out of Early Access by the end of the 1st quarter 2. DCS: Supercarrier Other tasks for 2021 include plane directors to marshal aircraft to the catapults and off the landing area, the “burble”, deck crew light wands for night operations, unique radio channels for different controllers Some of the new / improved visual effects in development for 2021 includes: Improved helicopter rotor wash over water and ground. Ground unit dust clouds. Trans-sonic shock cones. Fuel explosions. Further explosion improvements. Smoke grenades 3. Vulkan API and Multi-threading With the integration of these libraries, DCS will benefit from improved performance throughout 4. Damage modelling in 2021 will focus on bringing the technology to our modern aircraft like F/A-18C Hornet 5. FLIR New and Improved Forward Looking Infrared 6. AI Units we intend to create or update in 2021: Large Aircraft: B-52H, Tu-95MS, , B-1B, IL-38 Carrier Aircraft: S-3B and SH-60B Ground Units: M1A2, Son-4 “Flap Wheel” radar,, Pantsir SA-22 “Greyhound”, and S-300/SA-10 “Grumble”. 7. Enhanced AI
  25. That is interesting insight. Surely it would be useful to re-post 2021 roadmap with comments for 2022. I thought that was being planned.
