  1. So far we don't know what do Su-22M4 cockpit renders and video mean. According to moderators, no official license agreement has been signed with any 3rd party with regards to Fitter. I think that Magnitude 3 is better equipped for the task though. Imagine if they did agree to work together on it... It would be beneficial to the DCS I think.
  2. You're welcome to use the current one. I for one can't wait for the beautiful one ED is making
  3. Исходный текст данного документа... ...является законным?
  4. Hi folks, Perfectly fine, working as designed, Gigabyte GeForce RTX3080 EAGLE OC 10GB GDDR6X. Purchased in October 2020, used only for DCS and few other games when I have time to actually play. Got to let this one go, and live on CPU graphics for a bit due to personal reasons. I wouldn't otherwise . 650 EUR.
  5. DCS: F-15E Strike Eagle, WISO's VR body https://t.co/zLQ0FbMg9l
  6. Once they are finished with the overhaul of MiG-21 I will finally purchase it. Then I will wait for the next Soviet jet ;). I just read the update they posted and I am exited about the plan, however "Once the Corsair is released and completed, we will be able to give it all the needed attention" ... Yeah.. gonna stick to Hornet for a considerable future.
  7. I could say the same in the same words.

For now I hope we will get Fitter-K in DCS
  9. No it is not. Domestic is Su-17 and export is Su-22 but still Mx for both. Nobody said anything yet to the best of our knowledge and moderators confirmed no official license from ED has been obtained yet, meaning officially it is not being made. There is one other Su-17 mod in the works by SVKSniper as well. So we could easily say there are two 'mods' in works and maybe even 3.
  10. it says Novyy Pozyvnoy or new callsign I believe that it was long known OctopusG is Russian speaking developer, or maybe it was just my thoughts.
  11. Why would you think OctopusG is doing an M2 version if their clip showed Su-22M4?
  12. ...unless they work on it together (?)

Yeah, I know. But thanks for bringing up Peruvian one as I missed that one.

I wouldn't mind Su-22 with the IFR probe. I love AAR and hate it for being such less than ideal in DCS.
  15. AI Hornet animations were long in the game. Player animations are supposedly being worked on but it takes huge amount of time and resources.
  16. Oh... I saw I'm a patch addict and came here thinking, I am too... Then I saw the photo and my jaw dropped, I got 20 on my wall - makes me tiny collector then. I even designed Hornets over Hormuz DCS patch but production cost was insane for me at the time... Very good idea though, a product such as DCS would be successful in selling those I think.
  17. In March 2018 Wags posted: However, not so long ago ED said they will add hose / basket physics to a wish list Also claiming (or acting as) new hose and basket physics was never the plan in the first place. So far we saw the new S-3 Viking 3D model in progress, but it was never confirmed (nor it was denied) that it will also include buddy store and AAR capability. It would be a huge surprise if S-3 Viking came with revamped / new hose and basket physics, but I feel we will be lucky if it comes in tanker role from day 1. Comms, physics and procedure across AAR mission for both systems (boom / basket) needs its "we want to make AAR the most realistic experience ever created for a PC" ED objective assigned. The sooner the better.

Fun fact - Iraqi Air Force presented during one of their military parades, a modified Su-22M4, one aircraft was flying with IFR probe of Mirage F-1 and this was successful modification, there was even a video showing Fitter refueling from Mirage F-1 once...

That was soviets wish, Tumansky R-29BS-300 turbojet was in surplus owing to reduction of MiG-23 -27 output. Lyulka AL-21 powerplant was needed for Su-24 and therefore in short supply. But, for example Poland, having rather enough of R-29, negotiated for AL-21s. In the end, Polish Air Force Fitters came with Al-21s. I also read somewhere that Soviets decided afterwards to offer Su-22 - so the export jet - to other customers with AL-21 engine only. I guess both R-29 and most certainly AL-21 are valid options and it will depend purely on developer and their plan of what to simulate.

See, this is good input, thank you. Maybe try posting this to the developers as well. Maybe OctopusG knows this already (I would imagine) and they are on it. It is WIP after all. I remember when watching them taking off (real), they would in fact warm up to stop the engine vibrations and also spool up before take-off. Yeah, I hope developer is knowledgeable here

Somebody said to me in YT comment that it is modular and can use retrofitting. If true I don't know, I asked maintenance guy once as I noticed two jets were different and he did not want to comment. Maybe he did not know...

    Su-17

Sounds good. Let's ask developer what he thinks...
  23. Gierasimov

    Su-17

We both agree. I want Russian language cockpit with English option available. You want English and don't mind Russian option. Why are we all even discussing it anyway? What do you think of touch down / roll out modelling shown in the vid? It looked like the driver was struggling a bit, was he not?
  24. Gierasimov

    Su-17

This is now drifting a bit off topic, however it seems that general assumption is ALL simmers here have excellent command of English. What if people start to ask for cockpits in languages they understand.. French, Polish, German, Spanish.... Whatever it will be, I want realistic representation of the aircraft.

Only if I forget something... Mostly though it just flows naturally. Thing is though, it stops being a simulation unless there is a operator country that recoded avionics to their language. What's wrong with learning those several labels and memorizing some Cyrillic characters? For example, do you know what Cy-22 is?
