What is your gpu usage when you're not in the northern test zone? If it drops from 100% that would be a sign the CPU isn't sending information to the gpu fast enough.

Yeah I'm the same way...you can adjust the trackir curve so very little movement translates to more in game movement. There was a YouTube video showing how to set up trackir for dcs.

32 bit windows is your problem. The memory use by dcs is going higher than 32bit supports.

Yes hyperthreading in bios and the c states for the CPU. In windows set the power setting to performance. There should be an option in ccc to disable crossfire. I'm not sure though.

First thing to try is to disable crossfire on your gpu. Users seem to usually have lower fps with crossfire enabled. Make sure your power saving options are off for the CPU in bios as well as hyperthreading.

Ubisoft owns the rights to lockon. Not sure about fc. The original fc was considered an addon to lockon. So while fc2 and fc3 are standalone products. Legally they are still considered an addon. Other than buying the individual fc modules unfortunately there is no other way around this.

32bit or 64bit windows? How much ram do you have. 32bit is causing major issues with 1.2.6. There have also been issues with people under 6 or 8 GB of ram. If you have a crash log post it and have the experts look at it.

What is your budget? I'm assuming the "lightning storm" did quite a bit of damage so are you looking for a full build?

Did you try turning down the preload radius? Dont know if it will help. Most of the crash issues I've seen with 1.2.6 is with 32bit users so it probably is the end of support. Steam even lists 64bit as a minimum requirement.

From your other posts it looks like your on 32bit windows. Chances are a reinstall wont help.

Try turning on vsync in dcs. That fixes the tearing for me.

I think the dcs store hasn't had the requirements updated in a while. The steam store requirements are a little different and has 64bit as a minimum requirement.

After a quick test I'm still getting tearing with trackir and vsync off. I did recently install the 13.10 beta drivers. So I will test if its the drivers or dcs that is causing my issue. Edit: I installed the 10.4 drivers but the tearing still occurs without vsync on. There have been no other changes to my system.

If your getting an access denied error you should be able to save the file on the desktop. Then copy and paste in the original directory.

I also had this problem. Not as noticeable with the terrain but very noticeable with the cockpit frame. This may not be the same issue the others have had but it seemed trackir was causing screen tearing in game although frame rates were below refresh rate. Try to enable vsync in game or at the driver level as that fixed it for me.

The auto updater will apply updates for all modules. The patches in your link are for the pre dcs world versions.

Maybe its just me. Maybe its the missing smoke. Does the heat blur look different/weird to anyone else?

There's nothing wrong with windows 8. Its basically the same as 7. I've had no issues with 8. 8.1 is coming soon. hopefully with built in boot to desktop which was the only thing I didn't like about 8.

The AMD 9900 series is rumored to be launched in October. With the 9970 being faster than 780 but slower than titan.

That's odd I never had any issues with my d2d version. I'm not sure what version I last installed on but maybe try an older version of dcs. Maybe something in the new version is not working right?
