  6. While I understand your stance and agree with you, NineLine, calling the mods "fantasy sound packs" is also a bit a blow below the belt. There is a clear discrepancy between the raw sound files and how we hear them in the sim. So I am happy this was brought up and I hope it will get attention or at least an open dialogue. In my own opinion, the F/A-18C for instance sounds superb in DCS. That tells me they're on the right track for sure.
  7. I just had a listen to these wave files and they indeed sound a whole lot better when played back than how they are sounding in DCS itself.
  8. Don't forget to activate the NWS HI nosewheel steering. With normal nosewheel steering it's pretty hard to taxi around the deck.
  9. Oh yes. I actually walked away from the PC to do some shores first, thinking to myself: "I'll get this out the way first before going through that massive change-log." :D
  10. Hard to say. I'm using 397.93 without any complaints. Alas, I have yet to see a changelog by Nvidia having a single line dedicated to DCS World.

  13. How would you implement this restriction? You should restrict yourself from landing above that weight, if you wanna fly realistically.
  14. I would go for the A-10C. One of the easier planes to fly, yet a lot of avionics to learn before you master it. So it'll keep you occupied for some time.
  15. I'm also very interested in this. Even though for Europe it seems it's going to take a while still before they're available.
  16. Is there any chance that this will ever be addressed, or should I give up hope? With the F/A-18C's also being Maverick capable, I really hope this get's corrected to reflect the real world counterpart. Best regards, Mud
  17. I just realized that the mission editor uses meters rather than feet. There's my problem most likely :D
  18. I made a trigger to fire after a unit's altitude is lower than 800 AGL, but it already fires at 2000 radar altitude. This is in the Persian Gulf map, above the water and near the carrier. In the missing editor the water is seen as 0 altitude. So I have no idea why the "unit below 800 AGL" already triggers at around 2000 AGL.
  19. After realism? I sure hope so. This is a simulator afterall. And I'm sure mods will be released which change the tint.

  21. It was merely a question, not a statement. You can notice that by the "?" mark at the end of the sentence. Also, in the following posts it was already clarified that it is as per the real plane with the 32lbs push through to get into AB. Take a deep breath and relax.
  22. Ah ok, I thought it was actually to set a detent for the AB. Good to know it's for the finger lifts! Thanks Razo+r!
