OMG and just Mega LOL! Thats a Triple :doh::doh:

Good advice here as usual. I recommend the Hornet, harrier is a blast too as is the F14. Check all of your bindings and ensure nothing is double bound. Also stock bindings tend to auto map to views on the hats and all doubled and tripled up which is a PITA. I do wish that would stop.

I don't... two position prevents confusion. If it is such a big issue for your set up, free up your buttons by using key commands on the keyboard.

Lean out and around or get a swivel chair. What you want is arcade, so why not a swivel chair. Works wonders and saves your neck.

Which direciton? VR or TrackIR+HOTAS for A10C?
MegOhm_SD replied to wagdog's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Well both actually, at this point I still do both. Sometimes I just want to see all the eye candy in all its glory so I’ll hit up my 65” screen with TIR. I have no issues with TIR since using it forever, I have it fine tuned and reliable. Then there is the immersion factor of VR. (Oculus-S). I have no issues spotting. So yeah, both for me which is not a choice, so no vote. It is not the same results for all, there is the hardware factor Errrr... funky poll -
Well this is certainly true since all life on earth and elsewhere was “seeded” on the molecular level. Everything literally has it origin from stars that went supernova. We are truly constituted from “stardust”. Earthly Humans are just one species of “Aliens” that evolved in Earths environment dictated by the conditions here. Not forgetting the mind-boggling vast number of other life forms here with us on this planet which would also be “aliens” on any other world. All of the variables on this planet affect how a species will evolve, just as it would differently in another planetary environment with different variables. If we were “seeded” on another world with similar but different conditions, we would be much different with a strikingly different appearance. Like our brothers and cousins from Alpha Centauri or other star systems. So we are no different from visiting entities, just another species which is obviously more advanced. But it may not be them (themselves) that are here, but instead their AI Probes which could explain a-lot of what has been observed.

Happy to be here! Nice addition to my Hangar... I haven’t flown the Viper since the late 1990s, this brings back some memories and is very familiar. F16, F18, F14 and AV8B...what a quiver. Viper is much easier to land than it was way back then. I scraped my nozzles frequently in that old SIM. But I was quite the noob then. My first landing in this F16 was perfect. Thanks ED and 3rd parties. What you do is appreciated. We would be nowhere if not for DCS. Now please bring on the Carrier Module. I’m a Naval Aviator at heart. <S>

Is there anything more you can share at this point regarding Ground Radar? Any screenshots available on what the scope screen will look like?

What is the true reason for no Heavy Aircraft Module devs?
MegOhm_SD replied to Wing's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Amen! This is a much better choice than the B-52. Would love to have this to provide ground support. Orbiting and manning that gun would definitely do the job. Unfortunately, there must be a reason we do not have any multi-engine props (not even two) let alone four. -
As I suspected... it appears the majority of Simmers here are not RL Pilots... most like myself wanted to be a pilot of some sort if not a Combat Fighter Pilot. If not for some bad advice which I stupidly took at a young age, I most likely would have fulfilled that dream. But I have flown with friends and actually flew the planes...but never licensed. So I am grateful ED exists and provides this Sim so I can in this way “achieve” what I missed. Really, we would be quite lost if not for them. So thanks ED!

If you like the the Tomcat, Naval Aviation and haven’t seen it already... checkout “Speed and Angels”. Really an enjoyable and fascinating film. If you ever wanted to be a fighter pilot...errr...Naval Aviator, this should be a must see. I found it on Amazon Prime but there are several options out there. Just search. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1112756/ <S>

Geeeze...You Air Force guys need to stay away from our Navy Carriers...We don’t really need a bunch of burning airframes cluttering our deck.

Would be great if we had a declare option as well

[NEED TRACK REPLAY]Radar severely bugged since update
MegOhm_SD replied to dores893's topic in Bugs and Problems
AI probably has music off and jammers on -
Well hell...this would not be complete and would be totally Unsat without simulating pilot facial expressions as well...
-
Weird... I can click my mouse wheel and zoom in and out incrementally in cockpit in VR. So not the outside world but I don’t really need that. This not work for you all?

Errr Negative “Go to Alternate”

Both equally, it should be a choice so I didn't vote.

MP 100%

If you find a reference point such as alignment with the plate surrounded by caution tape on the right by Cat 1, you don't need to be in an external view to stop properly for hook up. Works for all Cats, just different reference points. But yeah, guidance by the deck crew would be a plus!

If money is not issue no real reason not to give it a try. Oculus S with ear buds! No one can explain it for you and results, perceptions and opinions vary. See it for yourself. VR is a great option and immersive fun though. I still use both, my 65” in screen (which I love) and the S after the CV1. Umm for me the feeling of speed at low alt is enhanced in VR. Also noticed when not in VR it sure looks faster if you zoom out a little.

I sincerely hope that 18 slots works for you and your 80+ Pilot Organization. <S>

Dang...my forehead has been quite sore from all of the face-palming.:doh::doh: We need a fresh UFO sighting to get back on topic. Haven’t seen one since the 1980s.

Food, water and air would not be of much concern when your in “hyper-sleep” (I suppose meant was suspended animation or Cryo-sleep) and they certainly would not be aware of being in an uncomfortable space suit which they probably would not be wearing. Besides with the postulated wormholes and other dimensions, there is no worry about extended trips for a thousands of years.
