Don’t know what “Best” means in OPs question... but when not using my headset, Im using my Surround Sound thats hooked up to my 65” Samsung 4K, which is my “Monitor”. Which is pretty awesome when I turn it up and Rock the Room. The flyby in the F18 with watermanpcs sound mod is amazing.

I have MP missions with lots of fires burning forever and with an enhanced smoke mod as well which produces tall thick windblown columns of smoke. I do not see any FPS issue with that so bring on the Napalm. “I love the smell of Napalm in the morning.”

While catching a 3-wire gives you bragging rights amongst your peers, no wire is a bad wire. That said, in the F18, when I hit the slope just right and fly the ball correctly, I manage a high percentage of 3-wires. Same in the F14 but with the ball about 1 ball higher. H/E errrrr Really, never thought of...or realized IFLOLS is out of Cal. Thinking it was just the difference in the F18 vs the F14 which is not compensated for by the boat.

No concern here, I do not notice what you describe. If my sim runs smoothly its not an issue for me on my spartan system. I have no reason to be watching FPS as I am too busy enjoying my flights and MP missions with multiple Hornets on deck and on the flight line. We don’t know SC impact if any until we have it. I expect the sim to run as good as it does for me now. Too early for people to be declaring “we” have a problem. Because updated carrier with comms, the F18 and Naval Ops. Anything else is a nice to have. This has nothing to do with the F16. F14 will get up to speed if 3rd party does their work. So for many, its about the F18 and Naval Ops.
