Help, Trim reset "LCtrl+T" doesn't work for Su-25T?
Paganus replied to Lao Fei Mao's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
It's not a bug. Put the AP it into ALT 3 mode. -
The current situation is that STEAM will no longer merge keys purchased from the DCS store. Until this changes, no key currently purchased from the DCS store can be simply loaded into STEAM. Your old P-51 key would have been merged, I would have thought. As far as I know DCS has not announced when the FW will show up on STEAM.

A heartfelt thanks to all the Stingers for allowing me to be a part of your cruise. I had a blast shooting at you guys. ~Yak

Under the original KS you would have had to wait until the WW2 package was released or at least beta. As for now, the post linked below says KS supporters of $40 will get a key just ahead of this Augusts release. It does not explain lower contribution levels and aircraft selections. I'm sure they are trying to decide how it will work and get that info out before the pre-purchase sale ends so everyone can decide what to do. Wait a while. Hopefully you'll know soon. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2101600&postcount=2

From the Leatherneck website... The DCS: MiG-21bis will initially be available from the Eagle Dynamics Storefront and possibly on the STEAM distribution platform. http://www.leatherneck-sim.com/dcs-mig-21/ So far, it's a non-issue...

^ Are you a spokesman for RAZBAM, or did you just make that up?

In any sort of code conversion or merge you reach a tipping point where supporting the legacy while implementing the new becomes more work than just pushing forward with the converted. I guess they reached that point. Expect the road to be a bit bumpy at first.

Don't turn it on while on the ground. Don't turn on route following mode until you have the aircraft pointed in the direction of the next steer point, and trimmed. Make sure you turn on the right mode for the situation. Review pages 18, 19, and 20 of the manual.

^ Well, as soon as they release it and announce their next project, this thread re-starts under a different name. :smartass:

That's what MER's are for.

I'm pretty sure they said the 15E is on hold and that the Mirage was now at the top of the production list. Pellentesque a mortuis equitum

You may want to compare those old files to a newly generated file before using them. If I'm not mistaken the file format has changed slightly.

It can cause lag depending on how it is used. It can also cause some lighting issues. If used in moderation it can give some nice effects. This guide is older but should still help... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7rWrjLcZNnecEZKMGpISnp1Y0U/edit?usp=sharing

Just for clarification - Creating a module is not easy
Paganus replied to The_Fragger's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
I understand the point you are making about the trials and tribulations of building out a DCS aircraft module. Like you said, it takes a long time and a lot of work. Then there's the added stress from the communities impatience, but I believe there is a simple solution for this part. Don't announce your project until it's done. :smartass: -
Yes. Change the aircraft start position from "ramp start" to "turning point", and raise the altitude. Drag it to where WP 3 is, and delete WP 1, 2, and 3. Save as...

The current DCS mavs are just using a vec3 coordinate. They're not actually optical so it shouldn't be too hard to make them work with any designator. I'm not sure how they lock them on movers. I guess you guys will get to figure it out. ;) Reading about the capabilities of this little bird has me more excited about it than I thought I'd be.

Welcome PJJ. I share your feelings about having DCS level WW2 aircraft. I wouldn't worry about the project going belly up though. ED is invested and going to see it through. My own concerns are related more to how this will be rolled out. Ilya's goal was a very short time frame with backers having access to things as they reached alpha and beta stages. Well the FW-190 is beyond alpha since it's release goal has been set for August, but the backers don't have access to it, or anything else. In the OP Wags said, With the new end date for the project set in 2015 or beyond, since there are no dates yet for the 262 and buff, we may not get our hands on any of it for years to come unless we, I'm hoping this is not the case, but until there is further clarification about how things will be released, how and if alpha and beta access will happen, I'm not expecting to have anything for a long time.

I don't like ERA division, even the little bit they have currently done has been a problem for me. I was building some cold war missions and wanted to use the M-60 tank as the primary US armor. Ed has removed them from the US group because they are no longer in use by the US. The only thing I could do without modding was add them as Turkish units. My preference would be to put all the assets in one place and just use filters, so that I can use any assets the way I want. Maps may have to remain ERA specific due to all the baked in assets, but not the units! On topic: The thing was pitched to the world as having a free fighter. I don't consider the TF-51 to be a WW2 fighter. I think they should stick as closely to what was in the KS as they can. I posted somewhere else about maybe using the P-51 for the free plane. I think they would lose less sales on it since it's already been out for as long as it has.
-
The only thing you need to buy is the full version of Black Shark 2. You also need to install DCS World, which is free.
-
It was planned to be decided by a funders vote. It has never happened though. From ED's perspective, maybe they should just make it the Mustang since it already has the most market saturation. That way they won't loose as much revenue as they might from making it one of the other aircraft.
-
I'm not posting to be argumentative or to disparage ED. I agree with you that they are trying to make the best out of this situation. I'm just concerned about setting a precedent that might lead to further expectations. If Ed wants to release each component, as it becomes available, to both funder levels, then I'm all for it.
-
If the P-51 keys for reward level and selection level are going to be released now, don't you think that's what funders will expect for the FW-190 as well as all the others?
-
Is the plan to still release DCS WW2 as a separate install from DCS World? The new development timeline for each component is so different from the original plan will we have to wait until all the planes, ground units, and map are completed and in a single package before we get access to any of it? How will Alpha/Beta access to each component be handled? We have gone from a late 2014 delivery estimate to a much later date for all the components.
-
But $60 only if they chose the P-51 for DCSW key as their selection. They could have paid $60 and selected a manual or t-shirt instead of the P-51 for DCSW key.

I'm afraid your going to have to forget about the original chart levels. When he changed it to the matrix in the middle of the KS and stated that all funders could base their selections off the matrix, it killed the first charts viability.
