  1. To re-arm/re-fuel at a FARP it must belong to the same side as the aircraft. Based on what you have posted it sounds like you are trying to have an aircraft re-arm/re-fuel at an enemy (russian) sides FARP. If this is the case everything is working as it should. Is the Russian FARP on the BLUE side when the BLUE aircraft tries to use it?
  2. You could try the repair first.
  3. Always keep one eye on the "vertical speed" indicator. Descending at .5 is optimal. If your descent rate passes 1, you've got a problem.
  4. Here's something you should check... On a clean machine you will need DirectX June 2010 Runtime - this is DirectX 9.0c and Visual C++ 2008 runtime - it's needed for one of 3rd party libs in DCS
  5. If you don't want to install Grep for Windows you can use Windows PowerShell. Either the GetContent .Net command or Select-String.
  6. A good way to handle this is to copy your existing keyboard file out to a safe place. Run the sim and go into the aircraft control setup so a new, clean keyboard file is created. Then compare the old file you moved with the newly created file. You can just eyeball it, or use something like WinMerge. You can then add/remove/replace needed lines. If you see extensive or structural differences in the new file, you may want to just go ahead and rebuild it from scratch. Always use a text editor that keeps the existing format like notepad++.
  7. We will need a lot more info to be of any help. Maybe screen grabs and a track. A guess to start.... Are you new to the HUEY? I ask because if you are using and older control file then the new control options are not there. In the "UH-1H Simulation" control tab do you see the entries.... AI Left Burst Switch AI Left ROE Iterate AI Operator ROE Iterate AI Operator Burst Switch AI Right Burst Switch AI Right ROE Iterate If so what keys are they set for, and have you tried those? If not, your control file is no good. Go into the Saved Games folder find the keyboard file under input and move into a temp folder. When you run the sim and go into the control tab for the HUEY and new clean control file will be created. Yes you can export to a 2nd monitor. Run a few searches. There are many post on the subject. Here's one to get you started... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1557964#post1557964
  8. Yes, you can do it in a script. Watch an aircraft autostart sequence. Take a look @ \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Mi-8MTV2\Cockpit\Scripts\clickabledata.lua

  10. A good place to start - \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\tech\CombinedArms\Doc\Combined Arms Manual EN.pdf. It's just difficult to figure out what's going wrong without a ton of info.
  11. I hope we get the dorsal fin retrofit.
  12. That forum section is currently closed.
  13. The ED key database will have to be merged with the Steam key database. Wag's post that it should be doable but maybe not right away. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1976720&postcount=25
  14. To expand on what Skate said, the X86 folder is for 32 bit programs. The reason Windows keeps 32 bit and 64 bit programs in different folders is due to common files. Some programs share the same library files. To keep from installing the same file over and over, Windows creates a common files folder where one copy is kept and shared by the apps that use it. If you start mixing 32 and 64 bit apps in the same folder you could end up with 64 bit common files in the 32 bit common files folder or vise versa which could break some apps. It's important you keep them in the right place. Anytime you're unsure about an app you can install it so that it is not inside a program files folder. That will keep it from messing up the common files. As also stated there can be permissions issues related to the program files folders depending on how you're Windows and logins are set up. If you install DCS World into the program files folder I recommend you always run it under admin level. Right click the shortcut Click properties tab Click advanced button Check run as administrator Keep in mind which ever Windows user name you run it under a SAVED GAMES folder will be created for each user in that users folder. All your settings are in this folder.
  15. I suggest he add a nice curve to the pitch and roll at least. Our short throw desktop controls don't translate very well with a longer floor mounted stick. That and a little seat time is all most folks need to get her under control. If you look at some youtube's of the DCS pony in action you'll see plenty of examples of high precision flying. It's not too hard once you get things dialed in. Don't let him give up on it yet. It's a true joy to fly.

    Good stuff Raf. Thanks
  17. DCS HAWK. Merry Christmas!
  18. I just did a quick check in the ME and ground crew worked fine for me.
  19. We need a M23 mount for a slick with door gunners only.
  20. I just did a quick test and had the same result with stationary infantry that start within range of each other. They don't attack. If you have them enter each others range, either group or both groups moving, they stop at the edge of each others range and engage.
  21. Changes made to the sim over time tend to break older missions. If you want to have a better chance of an old one working, 1st load it into the current DCS mission editor. Save it inside the editor. Then give it a run. Some will work and some wont.
  22. Have you tried simply de-activating the serial in the stand alone version and then activating it inside DCSWorld? It just sounds like the serial activation works fine but it's stuck pointing to the stand alone.
  23. @ chucky35uk, this might work for you... In RegEdit, Do you see a folder structure under "Eagle Dynamics" for "Black Shark" and "Black Shark 2"? (search Ka-50) WARNING do this at your own risk and BACKUP... Delete the "Black Shark 2" folder from the registry and close RegEdit. Run KA-50_1.2.6.xxxxx.xxx_xxx.exe Go into your ...Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50\bin folder and run the ka50_protect.exe Select the BS2 Upgrade International Key. Enter your BS2 Upgrade key and Activate.
  24. Depress the trigger until it launches.
