  1. I don't want to keep pasting in a buch of stuff from the KS but if you read this part abouth the matrix it is clear the P-51 for DCSW is attainable for the $60 pledge.
  2. Unless they bought in under the matrix in which case the P-51 for DCSWorld was attainable for $60.
  3. The P-51 for DCS World changed. It was $65 until the matrix when all "extras" both digital and physical were lumped together, it became $60. The FW-190 is more clearly stated in the KS. A bit further down the page...
  4. This statement is wrong. You need to read the kickstarter agreement before you post things like this.
  5. Those pits are beautiful, whoever did them.
  6. Look at the bottom of your dcs.log from a failed attempt.
  7. How long are you waiting? It can take a minute or two. There are log files in the Saved Games folder under your windows user. What does it say in net-server.log?
  8. The new structure will mean fewer disruptions in the future.
  9. I don't know if these limitations are based on the server or if it's just in the software, but our group has found that adding more than around 600 static objects will cause objects to start vanishing.
  10. I think the answer is that different team members are working on different aspects of the plane. The "art" guys work on the model and texture all the time. Making improvements and adding detail, etc. The "programmer" guys are writing the code that runs behind the scenes making dials spin and making the thing fly like a plane. They don't merge all this stuff together very often. So the programmer guys might be looking at 6 month old art in the version they use for testing. If they make a video showing how the plane fly's in the sim that video would contain old art. Once they pull it all together into 1 unified build they can take pics and record videos for their official media blitz.
  11. Time for a Prowler111 pep talk?
  12. I have 100% faith in the current team getting this thing out very soon. I would however encourage the team call it a BETA release the way ED do. I'm not saying release it a minute before the team feel it's done, just that I think it's impossible to release something this complex without having a few bugs hiding in it. Not to mention all the individual WON"T INSTALL! / DELETED MY HARD DRIVE! / RAPED MY GOAT! posts that will follow. I'll even go as far as to offer my early congratulation to the team for pulling it off.
  13. What are the server and internet connection specifications? There are, and always have been, limits to units and AI the software can push. The hardware you run on is something you should also factor into the equation. For example, our server can only handle about 600 static objects before they start vanishing. That's with any number of players from 1 to 10. From our testing, we think fewer large groups is better than many small ones. In other words 5 groups with 10 units is less taxing on the server than 50 groups of 1 unit. On our server we tend to start getting more disconnects above 12 clients. We know some servers out there are hosting 30+ clients. There are many variables to consider.
  14. You can also use a mission start trigger with the action of "Group AI off" for all the ADF groups, and they will not have any AI at all, but are still accessible to CA players.
  15. While it's the same basic plane inside the sim it's a different aircraft. You will need to open the missions and change it there. There was a change in the way controller files are created in 1.2.8. You should expect to reset all of them from scratch. The good news is that the change that was made should make resets less frequent.
  16. I agree with David. The resistance does surprise me since he's asking for it to be made server optional instead of changed. So far the P-51 has been a novelty in DCS World, but with more WW2 birds incoming, it will be interesting to see how this is handled. Many of these beasts have unruly characteristics.
  17. One big problem with putting mods from the community into a commercial product is ownership. Modders sometimes borrow assets from other places. Ed would have to vet everything as to its origin which is very difficult. If they did publish something owned by someone else without permission, even if unknowingly, it could be a legal nightmare.

  19. Go into OPTIONS and click the SPECIALS tab. On the UH-1H tab check the box for TRACKIR AIMING. I know, you said you don't use Track IR. Do it anyway and test it.
  20. Always start and takeoff on the left internal tank. This tank has the return line on it, so you need to make some space in the tank if it's full.
  21. Not that any of the backgrounds necessarily matter when it comes to what Leatherneck does next, but the background on the contact page appears to be an F-4F Wildcat, not an F-6F.
  22. Make sure a controller you are using is not lowering the engines RPM. This was the cause for a couple of people that have posted about having this problem.
  23. Start the editor. Click on the top icon in the row along the left side of the window. It will open the coalition pop up that will allow you to set which countries belong to red and blue. "Permit Crash Recovery" is for re-spawning if you get shot down.
  24. Grumman has lots of cats to choose from. Don't forget the Panther and Tiger.
