F-16 does not have an HSI page…. :music_whistling:You will have to to paint it yourself on your maps and think where you are and where your are going to fly.

Kann man den Diskussionsteil über den Shop nicht irgendwie auslagern?

Not in service in 2007 ANG.. so no.

All those discussions all the time again. Yes, there are prototype tests with 6 of them and no, it was never used in real missions and it also was just done once as far as I know... launching th inner AGM causes damage on the rear wing (dont know how they are called in englisch actual). But who cares, nobody says you have to fly realistic, DCS can also be flown as Ace Combat Sim.... makes it much easier for development :D But if it gets moddeled realistic you will brake your rails before launching even one missile :D :D And I never saw a F-16 in a combat with more than 2 missiles… never...

But if you do not have something like a TGP... you will have to work without ;) But interesting question… just waiting for someone who asks if also the flying of the jet will be implemented… A look at the list and you have what will come.. first it has to fly and run stable. A well working radar code and flight model. Weapons are getting interesting if the system itself are working.

I use light yellow tinted glasses for my computer work.. reducing blue light and so on. After a few minutes you even dont notice it anymore.

You can fly the F-16 sim also very smooth with every other stick too ;) I am actual forced to a Warthog Stick on my desktop.. and it works fine too ;)

As fas as I know those brevities are not for a specific weapon, they are for a kind of weapon. Fox 1 is a SARH, Fox 2 an IR, Fox 3 an active radar A/A misslile. A bruiser call is for long range propelled munitions. Also a AGM-154A would be a bruiser for example. "Mangnum" can also be used for AGM-45 and AGM-88 too. But I might be wrong…

Why do you want to grip the stick with the left hand? Also in F/A-18 and others it is made to be held with right, left handed it does not make sence. And if you are sitting in an F-16 you understand very fast why the layout is as it is. On the video it looks big, but it is extreme small there. Youi have the control of the jet on the right hand, and on the right side there are no really important panels or switches you would need much. Most of them can be used my using the AP. And all the combat stuff is located on left side. If you have your hands on the throttle you are even able to use switches and knobs without putting your hands off the grip. CMDS function and so on can be used while hand on the throttle. ICP inputs are extreme fast by using you left hand, jus a few cm above the throttle. You even do not have to look at the ICP during making inputs because you can make them blind. Same with switches. If you once have learned where a switch is located and which type of head he has you do not need to look at those stuff. You can look out the whole time, having the stick on the right hand and do all the inputs with left… switching MFDßs and so on, all can be done with left. That is why a lot of gauges are mounted right and switches left ;)

Who's got a more engine power, F-16C or FA-18C ?
Cupra replied to max22's topic in Military and Aviation
This discussion always remembers me on a story a F-11 driver told me last year.. they had some BFM with US F-15C. He is flying F-16A MLU from the Royal Netherlands Air Force. The had to move away until one of them can`t see the other jet. Then they had to call "fights on" and it startet.. the command always came from the Eagle, the Viperdriver was able so see him still very well and even ID him as F-15... but he was nearly not seen anymore. The F-16 is a very small plane.. makes it also very dangerous… There is not the best or perfect jet. Each plane has its points wehre it gets very well, and there are also things that do not perform that good. If you think of the first F-16, planned and designed as a lightwheigt day-only short range air defense jet and then you take the new F-16V Block 70... that developement was extreme. And not just US versions. Other countries also did a lot of work to make those planes better and better. But the perfect one… does not exist. -
All teh funny stuff available for F-16 will not be included in DCS: F-16 ;) There will come a new module in 2025 ^^ But interesting that a Link16 will be included…

Maybe you can explain what TWS stands for in your opinon.. for me it is a radar mode for A/A engagement.
-
But it is also a big problem when the map doe not work. You still have to do all the navigation work too. Does not matter if you have a moving map or not.
-
I have seen a US F-16C Blk30 Model from a Texas ANG squadron that had a moving map on the MFD.. so this option exists. I just dont know if this software is available to the version we will get. But the function itself exists. Maybe just on one plane.. EDIT: Just took a closer look. It was a F-16D Block 30E. Serial Nr. 86-049. This aircraft had a coloured moving map on its HSD on the rear seat…

Will get interesting. With a 2 seater (no planned for DCS) without any fuel tanks from US to somehwere in the middle east and back to Germany. All with 10 Sidewinder, thousands of rounds for the gun, 6 or 7 AGM-65, same ammount of Mk-82 and one HADES bomb on center line… :D Lets get the party started :)
-
Nice setup you have... I am still thinking how to interface my throttle grip... actuality is a DX device, so no Tsuba support because no cougar hardware in it. I will have to do it the same way BMS does.. just with the throttle position without any buttons or virtual knobs and so on... No Cutuff/Button or anything like this.
-
Does DCS not work with DX-Commands? If no, it will get tricky, but if yes, there is no need for any key command or something similar. That is all in the game code. All other ways would make me wonder… Just assign a button function to a DX button and the rest.. you also have buttons that need to be pressed below 0,5s and others that need a longer press. At switching to DCS I do not want to work with 20th century stuff like joystick profiles.

The ageled part is only necessary if you make a real stick base. Because then your base is not horizontal. If you fly with a desktop or any kind of self made pit you will not need it.
