  1. I would open a ticket with ED. That coupon is very, very old. I would not be surprised that the automated system does not recognize it.
  2. The phrases above illustrate the pointlessness of this poll.
  3. VA is a good solution. Immersion is always going to be handicapped by the fact that we aren't sitting in a real aircraft.
  4. Are you saying that you can't program those buttons in DCS? DCS does not respond to them at all (in Options>Controls)?
  5. I find the Borg reference hilarious.
  6. As long as it works for you, that is fine. Personally, I prefer to be able to shift investments instantly, and directly, and in cash. Of course, you are much younger than I so it makes sense that I am more risk averse. I also hope that you realize that I am mostly giving you a hard time. As long as you manage to increase your wealth it is a good thing. :)
  7. Not easily, which is yet another issue. BTC is not as liquid as other investments.
  8. IIRC, Sith has carried the 'Community Manager' tag for well over a year now. The name change, however, is interesting, especially for a WWII buff.
  9. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Unfortunately, I suspect the the underlying processes are always running. The only thing that changes is whether the data gets written to a permanent file or not. Also, since the data collected is only control inputs it won't amount to much of a performance improvement, as I said before.
  10. It is still a waste of time. One share of Amazon stock has appreciated more, since Christmas, than you have made by mining. Plus the fact that I don't have to turn off my investment's growth if I want to play DCS.
  11. Turning it off definitely should be an option in MP since they get saved automatically. For SP, I doubt it consumes enough resources to be noticable from a performance perspective but it is still a waste since most tracks are worthless when a replay is attempted.
  12. CPU load has nothing to do with track replay issues. The issue arises do to the inherent imperfections that are created during the replay process.
  13. IIRC, Older models do not.
  14. I did not say it was a 'solution'. It is a way of addressing the issue. The change you want ED to make has potential but that is something for a wishlist post.
  15. Nope. Tracks are still corrupted randomly.
  16. You can always pause the sim.
  17. DCS will perform better on an SSD. V2.5 recommended requirements. For other games, YMMV.
  18. That is good to know. I have never been in that situation but it is nice that they have that issue covered. This is yet another reason to use Notepad+ for editing game files.
  19. That is good to know. I have never been in that situation but it is nice that they have that issue covered.
  20. This is almost certainly the root of the problem. It does not matter whether your account has admin privileges if the file involved is in protected space ( i.e. C\Program Files ). This is one of the reasons that I never install games in the default folder.
  21. Two through four are pretty much the same as doing a clean install. IIRC, you might save a few driver installations but otherwise that is going to pretty much nuke your system.
  22. That is odd. It sounds like it thinks it getting input from somewhere since it would act that way if you hit return instead of entering a password.
  23. I wish you luck. Though I have had some odd issues with USB devices, with Win 10, none of them have been as bad as what you are describing. The system I am typing on thinks it has four keyboards at the BIOS boot level. :)
  24. That Spad S VII (if I am not mistaken) image is sweet. Gotta love those WWI aircraft. I did not realize how short that propeller was. My 2/3 scale Sopwith Camel prop is probably not much smaller with the real thing being around 9'.
