  1. This is probably the best advice. Unfortunately, until the memory leak is fixed, this is just a bandaid that might not be needed in the long term. Given the current cost of memory I might just stick with what you have and play something else for a while.
  2. If you haven't seen DCS @ 4k, you don't know what you are missing. VR is great but resolution is king.
  3. I won't disagree about the cost but given the capability of modern CPUs along with DCS, itself, not using them, to any significant degree, the comment about a freed up process is just silly.
  4. @HiJack Nobody makes you stay. Personally, I like it just fine.
  5. Luckily, using FB and buying their stock are not the same thing. :) EDIT: It is also worth noting that this is not a hidden thing. You can see what is collected by looking into your settings information.
  6. Do you have any idea what his net worth is? If he lost 99% of his money he would still be a multimillionaire. EDIT: The worry about Oculus is also silly. That is like having your house hit by a meteor and worrying about how that will affect the resale value of your car.
  7. Let's see what happens. FB has only lost 15% of it's value and has so many clients that what you have seen running away is only a drop in the bucket. I am still holding about $25k in FB stock and won't be selling it at the moment. Spoken like someone who has no clue.
  8. Completely understandable.
  9. Keep in mind, that is visits, not unique visits. Mine says over 72k.
  10. Mine stand but they do have their own room. ;)
  11. I am going to bet that belongs to a single man. :D
  12. I would rep you but...
  13. Not quite true, you just need a CRAY for CPU and a BTC mining farm for video. :P
  14. From the DCS User Manual: You can use the 1 screen option, or the 3 screen option, and change your resolution to match the total of the three monitors. It is worth noting that the 3 screen option will greatly reduce performance and really only looks correct if your monitors form a box, with 90 degree corners, around you.
  15. A DIY solution is your best bet but integrating it with TARGET is not going to happen without hacking a TM product.
  16. That is fine except for the massive hardware needs to get usable framerates out of a three camera setup.
  17. Bit is correct. A new GPU will give you a noticeable boost in performance and will be a far better use of your cash.
  18. As I said above, leaving less than 10% of the drive free is going to hurt performance of the drive.
  19. You should never let an SSD get that close to full in the first place. Anything more than 80% full is not a good idea, from a performance standpoint.
  20. Bonus Rule 1.3 Except for rare occasions, you cannot earn bonus points unless you pay full price for a product/module.
  21. No.
  22. Actually, not until you get to zero, and then only after 30 days beyond that point.
  23. Nope. Bonus points are earned when you make a purchase. The bonus points from those two purchases would only be usable on a future purchase. The rules linked by BN are fairly clear and straightforward.
  24. Vertical mice have been around for a very long time. I have one, and attempted to use it for a while, but having three rigs at home, and one at work (at the time), it seemed to be an expensive experiment. I suspect that if you give yourself the time to get used to it, and I mean lots of time, the benefits do exist. I also think that arm position, desk/chair height play an important part. Everyone will have different experiences so experiment and see what benefits you the most. EDIT: In the same vein, the MS Natural keyboard (the original) is still the most comfortable keyboard that I have ever used. I don't currently use one, though I have two on the parts shelves, but it beats a straight keyboard for long term comfort. Not for gaming but pure typing comfort.
  25. Beyond that, there is the issue of tying the forum account to the ED account. There is a good reason that they are separate. This could, potentially, make the ED account less secure. If you don't trust someone's opinion then this won't make any difference. By Calibri's standard, then no one should be able to post in the F-18, Yak-52, or any other forum section that discusses an aircraft that has not yet been released.
