  1. If we're getting the F4U-1 and not the F4U-4 would be hoping it'd be a later variant too. Would make more sense if they're looking at an Iwo Jima map but I guess we'll find out soon enough. First day buy for me either way.
  2. I didn't and had no issues. The only issue I have with Win 10 is that it doesn't like when things like rudders or joysticks get unplugged sometimes. Causes the mouse cursor to go all juddery and I get funny beeping sounds requiring me to reboot. Other than that it's been totally pain free.
  3. Can we just lock this thread? It's just one person's misguided obsession at this point.
  4. I have the same issue in 1.5 - the brakes are far more sensitive and it's now very easy to nose over whereas before it was quite difficult to nose over which seemed in line with what RL pilots typically said about the 109. I tested the brakes just now in 1.2.16 and it's pretty hard to nose over - you can jam on full brakes for a while without any issues. In 1.5 an application of full brakes has you nosing over extremely quickly. But I would say that ED made some good improvements to the brakes for direction control with the 109 in 1.5 - personally I find it far easier to control direction with taps of the brakes in 1.5 than before. Just it seems too easy to nose over now is all which, while easily avoidable by being very careful, doesn't seem historically correct for the 109.
  5. The fuel pressure now goes up after the engine has started. The behaviour before was incorrect and ED fixed it in 1.5
  6. Aha.. yep that was it thanks! I have to set my aileron trim in the UI to be -30 for the stick to be centred in flight and remove that unwanted aileron roll to the right.
  7. I've been having the same issue as Hummingbird. I'm using a X-55 myself. When the 109 is on the ground the stick is perfectly calibrated and when I release the stick it goes back to the centre. However once I'm in the air it's always slightly deflected to the right. I've tried re-calibrating the stick but that hasn't cleared the issue up. Anyway it doesn't make sense that it's a physical stick issue as there's no problems when the 109 is on the ground. Any ideas what could be causing this or could it be a bug of some sort? I've attached some screenshots showing on the ground with engine at idle, on the ground with engine at full power and in the air cruising at 1.1 ATA.
  8. ED just said it would be out later in open beta. No ETA other than that yet. The ZA version doesn't appear to be massively different so I would say it's not too far off but we'll see.
  9. Not having that issue personally. I'm generally having to trim to make the aircraft more nose heavy and it trims out ok for me. If you check your controls with alt + enter when your stick is centred is the stick also centred in the sim?
  10. The L-39 is only available for the 1.5 open beta for the moment as it needs to be part of EDGE as far as I know - do you have the open beta installed?
  11. The keyboard commands for raising / lowering the radar altimeter warning level aren't working: "LShift - ," Radar altimeter dangerous RALT set rotary left Ins Forward panel and gauges "LShift - ." Radar altimeter dangerous RALT set rotary right Ins Forward panel and gauges Only way currently to change the altimeter is to turn the rotary in the cockpit.

  12. Late November is the most recent ETA for the alpha release of the NTTR - it'll presumably be released to the open beta version first while kinks are worked through.
  13. The actual download for me was around 7Gb I think. The rest was copied over from my normal DCS install. The current build is just fine as far as I can see. There's bugs and stuff of course but the stability seems fine to me - I haven't had a single crash yet anyway.
  14. I've exactly the same issue. Not sure what DCS is trying to do differently to any other game out there as my BD firewall doesn't throw up any problems for anything else. It's not a major issue but would be nice if we could figure out a solution for it.
  15. Looking forward to seeing the new rudder authority in the Sabre.
  16. Also it's more likely that any fiddling around with harmonisation was something done on the earlier Mustang models before the gyro gun sight was introduced. Leaving the harmonisation pattern as standard with the GGS must have been the norm for virtually all pilots. It just worked best that way and crew chiefs probably had better things to do than working out custom patterns and all the work that entails to suit one guy's preference.
  17. Towards the end of August was the last date I heard mentioned. Though I guess it depends on things being well enough advanced for a reveal.
  18. They've removed g suits from Mig 15 pilot in their internal version - hopefully this change will be merged with the 1.5 release but I haven't seen any confirmation on this.
  19. Check out the pilot talking about the lack of rudder authority on the ground in the video posted by Supongo earlier. Not sure what version 109 it is in the video but I doubt it changed massively over versions. Per the test pilot you have to be very careful with the application of power on the ground due to the very small rudder or you'll be taking a trip off the left side of the runway in no time. https://www.facebook.com/royalairforce/videos/10153539112584885/
  20. 30% of the product full price can be paid for by a bonus so $15 in this case which means you can save $5 by waiting until it hits full price: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2117306&postcount=2
  21. ZA has quite a bit more capability and one purchase gets both variants: 2 x FUEL TANK 350L + MACHINE-GUN POD 4 x UB-16-57U + MACHINE-GUN POD 2 x UB-16-57U + 2 x FUEL TANK + MACHINE-GUN POD 2 x R-3U (R-35) + 2 x FUEL TANK + MACHINE-GUN POD 4 x OFAB 100 + MACHINE-GUN POD 4 x FAB 250 2 x FAB 500 2 x FAB 250 + 2 x OFAB 100 + MACHINE-GUN POD 2 x FAB 250 + 2 x FUEL TANK 2 x FAB 250 + 2 x UB-16-57U + MACHINE-GUN POD Can also be configured to hold 4 NATO weapon stations: 2 x FUEL TANK 4 x LAU 5002 (6 x CRV-7) 2 x FUEL TANK, 2 x LAU 5002 2 x FUEL TANK, 2 x AIM-9 4 x Mk 81 4 x Mk 82 2 x Mk 81, 2 x Mk 82 2 x FUEL TANK, 2 x Mk 82 2 x Mk 82, 2 x LAU 5002 2 x Machine Gun 12.7 2 x Machine Gun, 2 x LAU 5002 2 x Machine Gun, 2 x FUEL TANK 2 x Machine Gun, 2 x Mk 82
  22. No problem if the ZA comes later. Thanks for the clarification. Definite purchase for me now.
  23. +1.. bought everything from ED but would probably not want to pay full price for the L-39C and then same again for the ZA seeing as I already have the C-101 and the Hawk.
  24. We probably won't see any module or any update to any module being released until DCS 2.0 is released. I don't think ED will want to spend time on an interim minor release. Unless DCS 2.0 gets delayed past September I wouldn't expect any minor releases.
  25. Yo-Yo explained that in another thread. Erich was getting some unwanted aileron input due to the controller setup not having springs. He wasn't used to the feel is all.
