  1. You need to press ON/OFF Buttion who is on the same line that TCN (ON appear on the UFC screen side of 67), A/P, ILS etc. then activate on the HSI the TACAN ( press the OSB button side of TCN, on the up left corner )
  2. For me this look effectively normal on a 3D model point of view due from the thickness of the glasses when they "meet". The "line" is the top of the glass when no refraction of the light from the direct point can be seen. on the video the camera is placed down to up look, meaning the top of the glass is not visible, the ray light is so coming from under, in DCS when you up the view, it is like if the pilot is over it, and should see the top of the glass where no refraction is made. Solution will be to reduce the thickness of the glass, increase the IOR of the glass BDSF material for allow more light to pass through it, or remove contact shadow and impact of it over the second glasses . In Ray tracing engine we can correct this, im not sure in standard one it is possible Honestly i am not sure this issue is really worth it, i mean it is not really a break changer
  3. I will say same as upper, i have a small dead zone ( not remember even how much ), i can pretty hit anytime on it and it work, even when slighty climbing. it is not much a question be at full level flight, but more than you dont have any input.
  4. Try post a track, after try take-off, exit mission, hit save track, it will generate a track file, same as you can use for view recording of your flght. Can by anything from procedure of take-off or even the way your hotas is set. Does it happend too when start launch from deck aligned ? As for Open beta install, there's 2 ways, https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/beta/ download the launcher openbeta, it will create a second install of DCS, meaning download again all files. Second option is to switch to beta, it will only udate your existant DCS install
  5. for the mission i recall, honest i dont remember and i have sadly no save the mission in the editor. so i have do some try: one quick mission set at 1989 and 2012 with winds ( 30 knots) Was dumb from me, my error is just that i was switch the INS from NAV to IFA in 1989 mission. 3 tracks: in one 1989 i switch to NAV to IFA, not in the second one. In the 2012 all is ok with IFA allready set. tst_CCIP_2012_b .tst_CCIP_1989_b_nav3 .trktktst_CCIP_1989_b_ifa2 .trk This is only quick test, and with a bad hotas, i was not really search to fly so be indulgent and the margin of error is big. I will need test the campaign mission for see if it same, but i ask me if it can be just linked to it. I hope it have not bring more confusion that it was allready
  6. I had a bit of time during lunch. So i have do a quick test: And now it seems fixed. Let me dig in. I had update friday to last Openbeta. ( no idea is something have been changed in this regard) I have reset the campaign Hot start on the deck, the INS is on Nav, Quality 0.5 : OK when launch the mission Switch INS to IFA, timer start. Waited 2 minutes and take off. (surely not necessary) CCIP reticule is aligned correctly, no drift, look totallly ok. Same in Auto. I will need do further test and save track if i encounter the problem again. I am ofc conscient that the best is just provide track for exclude any user error and report can just make thing more hard to debug.
  7. Hi big Newy, im in european time, Switzerland Lausanne here, meaning working now so i will need find time tonight for do it. It is hardly a error during align procedure, the campaign mission start hot on the deck.
  8. I know it have allready been reported, but just for add and sorry i dont have keep a track as the bug was seems allready reported. It was seems to me it have been fixed on previous other beta. As on Open beta as of 24-09-22 and second campaign mission (official one ). so pre GPS mission:, the CCIP Line is nearly at 90° on the right. Same bug as before.Fully aligned It is particulary a problem on the main campaign, as you cant change the date ( a workaround will be to copy the campaign files, edit mission in editor. )
  9. Yes same here, it allways show "Not Rdy." If you look on NAV BIT page it is same and if you try launch the test of INS in this submenu, nothing happend. So i think it is just not implemented yet. What is important, on FCS screen, you should see the "INS DGD " disapear after alignement is done.

Maybe stupid from me, but even if not implemented yet in DCS, i can imagine that if different group acquire data ( contact )and transfer them, shouldnt it be the case iand it should populate the SA page with identification HAFU ? I can imagine in reality, that every planes information should be linked in network even if not in the same group or is it only done through the AWACS ? In general when bandit are far i use the SA for know where and at what angel they are for know how set my radar for start an acquisition. ( way more effective than just try look around )
  12. And it willl do same in the replay. If a radio is active, cant use mouse on external view. As far as i remember ( back to A10 first release ) it have allways been the case.
  13. It is a bit bad it affect essentially the campaign mission as it make most of them unplayable for the most. I can imagine it is a bit a strange suprise for newcomer peoples who will like to make the campaign ( happend on second mission ofc with the BMP2 hunt ). i think it was corrected in the openbeta ?
  14. Off course not.. trim mean disconnect the system and then you return the hotas to center position. This is just for don^t have to apply force on the hotas all the time. for Landing ( honest you can land an hornet in any way landing on hornet is not reallly hard ).. take the AOA descent, correct the angle if needed then use throttle for stay on speed, Flaps full down will create a balloon effect, it is normal. You know it so correct it by pitch down a bit at same time. then you will see the ballon effect will stabilize. Peoples tend to do this just close of the landing. omg you have time to prepare you way before. go down on speed and prepare the plane way before that so you are not in hurry and stress before touchdown. I do not use one, because i have an old hotas, but i will think that it is more natural to use and you will not need to do key bindings as everything is in the right place and every function/command/button are covered defacto. Now i think it is too pretty easy to configure any hotas to work with any plane anyway. you have all buttons for sensor switch, TDC,etc. it is just the position who differ. So on the end. I will say it is more a question of " do i want spend money for 2 grips or not " ?

I have start with the A-10 when released by ED ( before i had the BS1 and BS2 then Huey, P51 and FA 18, ) the A-10 is complex to learn, it is all on the system, meaning you need learn all aspect of how function the avionics, flying the hog is not hard, but his avionics are terribly complex to learn if you dont know a bit about them. But when you know use all the computer system it is really a breeze to prepare the action plan and then do it. For sure when you have learn one plane (modern), then when learning an other it is way more easy. So i think it is really hard to say what plane is more complex to learn than another. You know what you want of achieve and just need find how you will need do it in the other plane ( Hotas command for start, TGP, sensor switch, enter coordinate etc ). The concept stay the same, the way of achieve need learn and adapt
  17. Had you designate the target with TDC Depress ? If i remember correctly or not wrong It is needed for update the target . Otherwise the Maverick allready look at the WPT selected. This will update the target designation for the Maverick. ( if use TDC in realistic mode it is not needed i think)
  18. Agree, Even video control system and camera work this way, advance fordward for zoom in. it is like moving forward physically close to the subject.

  20. In addition, you can still use the radar in map or GMT mode ( for moving vehicle ) then slave the tgpod to the Point of interest (TGT Designation )

    I will do an hypotesis that a good part of the system have not been implemented yet as it have just been released. and surely some work in progress still need to be done. 1) look like not implemented yet 2) it should certainly show the backup or the default entry. > select > on.
