07 November 2025 Dear Fighter Pilots, Partners and Friends, The OnReTech team is pleased to announce the DCS: Balkans map that will cover the Balkans, the Adriatic Sea and coast of Italy. Read the details below and check out the development screenshots. The Balkans map will add a new temperate map to DCS that will provide exciting scenarios for aircraft such as the F-16C and MiG-29A. Thank you for your passion and support. Yours sincerely, Eagle Dynamics Balkans Map Announcement In partnership with OnReTech and following the very successful launch of the DCS: Sinai map, the DCS: Balkans map will allow the recreation of NATO operations over former Yugoslavia from 1991 to 2001. You will be able to fly as either Serbian or NATO air force pilots over this varied and historically important theater. The map will feature picturesque coastlines and numerous islands of the Adriatic Sea. Additionally, dramatic mountain ranges including the Dinaric Alps, the Apennines and the Dolomites. As well as deep forest valleys, rivers, lakes, forests and fields. OnReTech is creating an impressively wide variety of landscapes across the Balkans and Italy. The urban centers are as diverse as the natural landscape with the stunning city of Venice, the medieval town of Dubrovnik, the bustling ports of Trieste, Bari and Rijeka, and the cities of Belgrade, Zagreb and Podgorica all included. Wide highways and rail lines connect the big cities and small villages and settlements dotted across the map. OnReTech is currently working on important military airfields located in Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Kosovo. This includes Aviano Air Base, an Italian Air Force base that is home to the US Air Force's 31st Fighter Wing that flies the F-16C. Civilian airports such as the Venice Marco Polo Airport, one of the largest in Italy are also being modelled. The map is planned to be available in 2026. For the latest updates on its development, please visit the DCS OnReTech forum thread. We look forward to your feedback and wishes for this long-awaited map.

I have here some feedback from the team, R-27chaff1.trk At a range of several kilometres to the target F-15, an Ace level pilot performs a precise 3-9 notch with a vertical dive, as a result both missiles go to chaff. In the new version with reduced RCS of chaff, the missiles do not go to the chaff and the first missile hits the target. R-27chaff3.trk At a range of several kilometres from the target F-16, an Ace level pilot performs a precise 3-9 notch with a vertical dive, as a result both missiles go to decoys. In the new version with reduced RCS of chaff, the missiles do not go to the chaffs and both hit the target. R-27chaff6.trk At the moment the missile approaches the target F-14, an Ace level pilot performs a precise 3-9 notch, as a result both missiles go to chaffs. In the new internal version of DCS with reduced RCS of chaffs, the missiles are also distracted by the chaffs, but after a second they return to the target, but it's too late. It is worth noting that you are using Ace level pilots as opponents, who masterfully perform 3-9 notch. They are good at evading missiles. If you put an enemy pilot of a lower skill, the result will be different. Additionally, we've begun work on converting the AIM-7 seeker to the same components as the R-27. Soon, these missiles will be the same generation of our technology. This will be in a future update. thank you

Hi, it is working correctly, we have checked. It can take some getting used to but Tholozor has given a good explanation. If you think it is off ensure you have performed a good boresight. thank you -
Switching to the front seat and we bob up from 20 feet to 100 feet.

thanks for letting me know -
please keep up to date by reading our FAQ when we are ready to share more detail we will let you all know. thank you
-
Ok, thank you for the tracks, we have identified an issue with chaff and a tweak will be made in a future patch.
-
the only useful track replays in this thread were posted 20 hours ago and we will check them, currently we are not seeing any issue when we check, most of the time it is due to not having good locks or bad launch parameters from the user. As mentioned we will check the new tracks and let you know. thanks
-
No worries and good to hear it is working again. I will mark the thread resolved as the initial reason for the post has been solved. thank you
-
Please add a fresh track replay example that is as short as possible, I will ask the team to check it again

Hi, damage model is still work in progress, but we first have to complete the core tasks for this project. thank you -
Logs will show errors but not all are critical, as long as your dcs is running again its a positive step. Feel free to attach a fresh dcs log. thanks
-
We have reviewed the issue again, it seems you may be missing a step. you seems to never set the SPI to the HUD/TDC in the track replay, and in turn the TGP then slaves to the STPT, which was his INIT POSIT some 4 NM behind. Here is a track when we set up the correct second waypoint with BMPs SPI to the HUD/TDC. A-10CII-slave to SPI.trk

Hi all, just a reminder of our 1.16 rule, please do not post documents here. If you do want us to check a document a PM is the best option thank you -
Congratulations!
-
Hi, I am not seeing any issue here, can you attach your dcs log from a session where you try. If you are using unofficial mods remove them for any test. thank you
-
please remove all unofficial user mods and run a repair. Retry in a shorter track replay and also attach the dcs log from the session. thank you
