  1. You can buy it in Steam, try it (less than 2 hours) and refund it. Or send a ticket here in the shop and ask if that is possible, to refund a module in a few hours after buying it for the reasons you mentioned.
  2. CCIP consent is also a nice idea for Targets of Oportunity, but I'm so used to designate them with the TDC and set it as SPI for a CCRP drop that I almost always forget about CCIP consent.
  3. I never flew a Harrier, but the flight dynamics feel quite good. Same with the hover dynamics and the transitions. Concerning the systems, the plane is flyable, but it still have some missing features which we are not sure if they are going to be finished or not. That being said, I have plenty of hours in the Harrier and I recommend the purchase. It is a fun plane to fly.
  4. The CBUs has a LOT of drag, hence you need a lot of speed or a lot of dive to actually see the pipper. Since they are area of effect, I usually drop them in CCRP. You don't really need the accuracy of a dive CCIP run.
  5. One of the switches I have on my HOTAS while flying the F5 is changing from Standby to Oper in the radar. I usually fly visually till I get to merge, then switch to oper radar in order to use dogfight modes. Mostly to get accurate gun range for firing. Other than that...
  6. On the third strafe mission you need to destroy a moving convoy, including a ZSU truck + 3 stating ZSU around firing non stop. On a Mustang. With the MG. Yeah, it is a challenge I guess, but it was really needed to add a total of 4 ZSU?
  7. Now that's weird. Can you try again and send us the trk of the mission? That way we can see what is wrong.
  8. Tested and everything went fine. You have to hold the pickle for one second as always. If anything is wrong the station number will blink. If the station is ready to jettison, then everything will blink.
  9. Interesting. I will check this evening because fuse set to SAFE is the standard procedure for jettison. Please tell me the actual stations, rack and stores so I can reproduce the issue.
  10. You need to select the fuze setting and the store settings on the top button row of the MFCD. To launch mavericks from triple racks, you need to choose "missile" To drop single bombs from racks, select stores. To drop the whole rack with all bombs attached, select rack. If you select different stores or racks sometimes it won't work depending on the configuration. You can't jettison the Tpod or the ECM pod. Other than that, selective jettison is usually used when you are trying to land with combat damage or unbalanced plane (due to fuel pump failure or because you lost a piece of a wing) In combat situations the panic button is usually the fastest and safets solution, since it will drop everything but the ECM, Tpod and Sidewinders and will leave you clean to either run or face an enemy fighter (the only reason you will want to jettison your stuff in combat)
  11. I think 5º is the actual AoA of the wing, so when the flaps are in line with the rest of the wing (cruise) they are at 5º. If you set them at 0º they would act as ailerons. As far as I'm aware, 5º is only used for super economic cruise, AAR and taxi (to avoid the flaps being reheated by the nozzles exhaust)
  12. Also, the "hold the button for trim and then release" has a little problem. You need to recenter the joystick to make new inputs. I've crashed more than once because of that, specially when doing low altitude hard manouvers...
  13. The bug is still there. Just a friendly reminder.
  14. The difference is the latest Nvidia drivers. Any player in render distance of the Mk20 will crash.
  15. Yep, I can confirm. Crash happens when the canister opens. If you set fuze to any invalid option andfor bombs crash while closed, then there isn't a problem.
  16. Same problem here with the rockeyes. I didn't try other CBU... I also have the latest Nvidia drivers.
  17. AI planes all have SFM (Simple Flight Model) That means they fly like in space, with little to worry about aerodynamics and engine restrictions. That is the reason most of the time you can't out manouver the same AI plane as yours, except when the AI skill is set to normal levels. He just have much more energy than you.
  18. I'm not saying that the current damage model is OK. BUT: - Destroying the rudder has no effect on turn rate, only on lateral stability. - What you got ware flaps, not ailerons. - Considering the white and black smoke, most likely it was leaking fuel or hydraulic fluid and had a damaged engine. Most of the time when you get an AI that way it will shut down the engine in few minutes. - If you said his roll rate was terrible, then what you got probably was the hydraulic system (hence the white smoke) Can the AI damage models be wonky from time to time? Yeah, the damage model is designed to interact with missiles mainly. We all expect that with the new damage model they are going to introduce in the warbirds, everything will improve.
  19. I just did the cold start mission 10 minutes ago (just bought the bird!) No problems so far. It doesn't have any kind of voiceover, it is just text though.
  20. If you want a "realistic" Hog campaign, you can try either Ranger79 or Baltic Dragon ones. Both are great, and you use the Hog as you are suppose to. You loiter around and help guys on the ground. Of course it is a bit cinematic for the sake of gameplay, but imho it nails the sweet spot between gameplay, simulation and actual operations.
  21. The one that you prefer. One is a basic trainer with aerobatic capabilities. The other is a full fledged aerobatic plane. Both are simple, both are fun if you want to just fly around. The Eagle has more juice for extreme manouvers.
  22. Nope, but IIRC the training planes usually also have a sensor probe which evaluates all data and then you can make an educated guess on your impact chance taking into account enemy speed, angle, heading... For bombs you have training bombs for that, the small ones have the ballistic performance of the Mk82 and they have a smoke warhead so you can see were you hit. Once again, that is all set for training in the real airplane where every maverick launched cost the taxpayers around 70.000 $. In a simulator it is not needed really, since all your weapons are free. But as Yurgon said, it pumps up the simulation even more.
  23. You will notice in the next update. It was quite a heavy download!
  24. I confirm the Mav launch bug. 3 mavs on ripple fire and the two on the side rails of the triple rack just loft to the side. One fell short and the other hit the target, albeit almost without energy.
