  1. Pretty much this. You can as well give the JTAC the Laser and WP command instead of laser only. That way he will lase your objective AND you will be able to see it with the white phosforous. Use the ball and chain on the WP mark and that is all :joystick:
  2. I bet he will do something with the hornet first. After all the hornet will be fully released way before the Viper is done. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they are working in a BFT for the hornet already...
  3. Well, that is to be expected. Just take every video with a fair amount of age with a pinch of salt. Baltic Dragon is working in the rest of the training tutorials anyway, so I expect a really good and in depth lesson on each of them.
  4. Flaps into STOL mode. Water switch in TO position. Nozzle stop lever to 60º. Nozzles to 0º Trim to -2º Brakes on, accelerate to 100 % RPM Release brakes and stay on the centerline. When you reach the end of the deck, adjust the nozzles to 60 and very gently adjust the plane pitch to keep flying straight. Gear up, move nozzles slowly from 60 to 0 keeping the flying vector just above the horizon. Once you are over 200 knots set the flaps to auto and nozzles to 0º You are flying! Oh I forgot, once you are flying, move the water switch to off. You will need the rest of the water to land.
  5. The module is a complete simulation of the A10C suite 3 iirc. We are not going to get it upgrade because it would be another suite and then another module. Same way we are getting the F18C Lot 20 and not the previous or next ones. Other than that, the module is fully released and with all the content updated, tested and working currently.
  6. The GAU 8 is not the weapon of choice to kill MBT. You CAN kill them, but that doesn't mean you SHOULD do it. Against MBT use cluster munitions, LGB or MAVs. Save the Avenger for IFVs, artillery and utility. Also as some other forumites already said, in reality you don't need a K-kill (catastrophic kill) to disable a tank. Even if you don't pierce the main compartment you can disable optics, range finders, ERA armor packs and tracks, making easier for the friendly MBT to disable it, or just removing it altogether from the battlegrounds for repairs.
  7. One is a multirole carrier plane and the other is a dedicated CAS platform. It depends on what do you find "fun" For me the Harrier is more fun than the A10C just because it is faster and you can do carrier and beach landing ops from a Tarawa, you can fly from Farps and you are more flexible. The A10C is still a powerhouse with systems capability bar to none currently (except maybe the Ka50) You can set markpoints, fiddle with the nav system, share with the DL and link every systems on the plane smoothly with two hotas switch clicks. The Harrier and the F18 when finished will be able to do the same (F18 with the upper hand thanks to the A/A capabilities) but they happen to be still as WIP. Patience, and enjoy what each airframe has to offer.
  8. Finished the campaign right now. Not a single problem or bug found. The campaing lacks variety, but the cards and story makes for it. It would be nice if there would be blue ground forces as well, but it is supposed to be training so it is ok. I like the carefully planned flight plans in and out of the NTTR, it really helped me to understand how to use the map itself. Now I regret the map itself is underrated and lacks content both player made and official. By the way, even if they give you the option to just quit in flight once you finish the objective, I've flown back and landed - taxied and shut off the plane EVERY TIME. Because I really like this map, and I can traverse it every day and never get tired of it.
  9. I tune down the brightness to 5 and suddenly everything works.
  10. I already did that. I like to play revanche from time to time. It is a relaxing campaing with old school ground pounding. But I was reporting it so ED could patch them themselves. After all FC3 is being supported and MAC is expected to have the same campaigns. It would be a pity that an entry level product tailored to new players is released with bugs.
  11. In the current stable version I can tell you that both the mission 6 and the mission 10 have that issue. I tried to start several times, just in case was a RNG bug of some kind, but everytime I got the same result. I haven't tried to load the missions individually, all of this was done as a part of the campaign.
  12. It is not "chicken ass" but "he who has the chicken ass". IIRC it is because the tail and stabilizers just over the engine exhaust look like an defeathered chicken arse.
  13. Good to know you plan to keep developing the Gazelle. I really enjoy the module, even if the FM feels a bit "on rails". But I'm not a chopper pilot and I don't know if the SAS + Autopilot works that way. Surely the Ka50 fly very similar with the AP on, but once again, it is a totally different config. What I'd ask for is more SP content. Instant missions, maybe a campaign with more diversity of hulls (not only the M model) Oh, and maybe some balancing tweaks to the Mistral missile. Dunno if you ever played PvP on it but it is a bit over the top. That being said I'm happy with the module as it is now.
  14. And I don't see anyone talking about the uncanny ability of the IR seeker to detect targets even through solid objects. I've used the Mistral on PvP servers (no shame tbh) and I can track enemy helos behind hills and just ambush them at the moment they enter the valley. That being said, I have also being locked and shot down by a Mig 29 using a R27 semiactive radar while being stationary in front of a hill side at 5 ft over the ground. Super duper pulse radar! And yeah, I know it was a radar missile because the Gazelle has RWR. It was not an ET fired with the EOS.
  15. Guys I don't think you undersand him. He is just politely requesting a South Australia + New Zealand map! I guess... because I just can't believe anyone can be so innocent to ask for a fantasy map in the current staple of realistic military simulation. Right? RIGHT????
  16. I have played the first 5 missions with no issues whatsoever. I'm loving it to bits. It is not hard or convoluted but at least I get to use the NTTR map in a proper mission aside from the fast ones I can make in the mission editor. Just remember to check the documents on the campaing folder for proper briefing.
  17. Same bug happens in mission 10 of the same campaign.
  18. Well done, if you need help, or more precisely, WHEN you need help, just ask. We are here to help. Welcome to the hog wing! BRRRRT for life.
  19. I can confirm you that The enemy within, Piercing fury, and all Maple flag training missions work on 2.5. In case they don't, it is for a small period of time while the bug is squashed due to a new change on AI behaviour or whatever. Buy them, they are all great!
  20. I haven't read the OP, but I don't need to. My answer to "should I buy the Hog?" is and will always be: YES
  21. You can make one profile, save it, and load it on the other two planes. Just check everything is in place and you are ready to go. 29A is the standard Fulcrum. 29G is the german version. It has a little bit less of thrust. 29S is the upgraded version, with better radar and fox 3 capability.
  22. I can confirm this is still broken. I bypassed the mission in the logbook but I hope this and other campaign bugs are corrected someday, specially before MAC is released. I mean, you won't like to release an entry level product for your sim and ship it with broken campaigns right?
  23. Well, I finally finished the campaign so I'm giving my feedback. I think it is a solid campaign. I didn't encounter any game breaking bugs, just a few voice over triggers which were a bit weird (probably due to myself doing weird things), some enemy planes crashing by themselves and small details like those. Of course the campaign development has a bit of "handwavium" concerning the balance of forces and the effectiveness of the Eagle unit against the Russians. But I didn't mind to roll my eyes here and there about convinient plane retreats or CAP behaviour for the sake of the fun and cinematic experience. All in all, a great campaign, great voiceovers and enough mission and objectives diversity to keep yourself entertained, even with a limited airframe like the F15C. Oh, and the FRAGS are great. Just check the last mission FRAGS because it seems some of the pages are copied from the 15th mission.
  24. The main difference is that they will have 1 or 2 weeks to hotfix stuff meanwhile. I never said everything reached stable (or as our friend said "release") version full of bugs. But at least in a playable state. Yesterday you couldn't use the hornet for anything that wasn't aerobatics.
  25. I'm a stable user, which only has the basic beta client and the two modules I use in MP because you are forced to. I play mostly in stable. All DLC campaigns, single missions, my own missions, usermissions. Everything. Because I know that when something reach stable it is more likely that it will work better than it worked in beta. Let's talk about current beta iteration. You have new features, most of them with issues and most likely more to come. They will be fixed, and when they arrive to the stable client, I will be able to use the radar, mavs and helmet visor on the Hornet from start. Sure, you will be able to test it and with a bit of luck play a stable version before that version gets into the stable client, but I don't mind waiting one or two weeks and be able to play it bugs free (mostly)
