A few of Shrek Squadron are going on the Friday,

I really like your work here They are good clear kneeboard and compiled key info. Just one thing on the AWLS page; clearly you show the channels for each airfield in the Caucasus. However, quite often each airfield has two frequencies, eg I think Kobuleti is something like 134.00 and 263.00 these represent two different channels. Would it be possible to put both channel numbers in your list? Thanks again

Can I suggest. 1. Try Track IR another game. This will show you if it is a TIR problem or DCS/TIR problem I had one TIR fail on me I think the LEDs were on the blink.

Great work YoYo. What software do you use to generate the MFD inserts? Would you share a copy of a template for others to use? Cheers

There are several steps to getting Mavs to work. They are not point and shoot like rockets or guns. Can I suggest that you watch youtube tutorials like; https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dcs+av8b+maverick by Redkite and download Chuck's guide These are study aircraft and we need to study! Took me 3 days to completely sort Mavs out.

It is always good to see developers putting out update and sharing the issues they are having. Good bug hunting guys. Thanks.

A-10c quite unstable in release 2.5
Trubshaw replied to ohyeah2389's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
I also have 3 monitors and Nvidia surround producing 5760x1080 and these freezes where the sound stays on and no error logs are produced are a known problem. Look at this thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=188804 If you read through some people find that letting the Nvidia control panel to manage filtering, antialiasing and prerendered frames helps. However, I still get such lock ups. -

Are you running on one monitor or more? What is your FOV (field of view) when your freezes happen? Does this freeze happen with any other module? -
Quality work Guppy and all in such a compact way. Thanks for sharing. Can you post a shot of you in DCS?

Trackir Unplugged/Plugged message... Still!
Trubshaw replied to Wedge's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have had this in the past. My only tip is make sure your track IR is plugged directly into your mother board. Not an extension ie like some front usb sockets are or even a powered hub. you may have to go round the back of your machine to do this. Also not a USB 3 socket it must be a USB 2 -
Viewing Mark Point and Way points simultaneously on TAD

Great support from the community. An interesting read. In real life do pilots do this sort of thing? -
Need help with TrackIR5 please

Do you wear glasses? If so and they are like mine at a certain point they reflect and cause a momentary erratic behaviour. -
Mirror is BACK! But I have GREEN PLAID glass.
Trubshaw replied to ChuckIV's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
ChuckIV I think the effect you are seeing a sort of digital green check camo is basically a sign that your DCS cannot find the texture it needs for the area. This could be because your DCS build is corrupt in some way. If that is the case a repair should sort it. The other reason is that for some reason this texture has not made it to the latest patch. If this is the case then everybody would have the same problem. Post a screen shot and lets see exactly what you problem is. Hope that helps Ps for what it is worth my spitfire cockpit looks fine. -
Very comprehensive read Baltic.

A neat module. I am always keen to see how other developers put their take on DCS. The external power unit for example is great to see. I have absolutely no idea what challenges coding such a module throws up so I am not in a position to complain. I am happy with the module and look forward to future updates. Cheers AvioDev

Well I hope that completing the key bindings and adding rotary switch support is on some future update list with the developers. I know that time spent on this coding will not generate any extra funds for them (and I understand that they, like us need regular income) but never the less I hope they complete it. The Mirage is a great module to have in your hanger and it is interesting to see how the French approach such an air craft. In all fairness I guess completing the missing key bindings should come before adding rotary switch support.
-
Hey Thanks funkyfranky. Saves me looking further. I am with you on the clickable cockpit. As good as it is to have to look down move your mouse find a 'sweet' spot click left and right is something I find difficult. However, a positive rocker to move rotary switches is easy and tactile. I hope they put rotary code into both modules soon.

I am trying to complete my key bindings for my pit for the M2000c My problem is that for something like the PCN rotary. I don't seem to be able to have a clockwise/counter clock wise button export like the ones found on other modules. Therefore my only option seems to map each part of the PCN to a separate button. Something like 8 buttons when two would do. Any ideas? Am I missing something? How do you guys do it without having to write lua script.
-
I think it looks like a great addition to the sim. I salute you modders! Well done!
-
I enjoy watching your progress. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers guys. Come and join us online sometime.

School & Zeus Thanks for sharing your ideas for the controls. It has given me an idea. Also, School, I too try to have a generic pit.

Saturday 8th July was the date chosen for the annual SHREK Squadron BBQ at swamp central. Thanks to Mr & Mrs Orge’s,now legendary, hospitality squadron members started to gather earlier in the week. Our first gathering was back in 2012 so this was our 6th gathering! I know I was surprised and looking back through the forums we have had over 10,000 views of our BBQ posts. https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=166696&stc=1&d=1501507464 The format is pretty well set with discussion topics including, flight simulation, the state of DCS, space simulation and VR dominating.Plenty of drinking centred around a spectacular BBQ and curry courtesy of Ogre and Balrog. This year I managed to see the progress of BigNewy's pit, Ogre's pit and the newly built Balrog's pit. (Polished knob and dials included) Most notable developments were Hall effect magnetic sensors to integrate controls, the use of Cougar MFDs and carbon fibre sticky backed plastic type material. They all added immersion and fidelity to the experience we all enjoy so much and gave me some ideas for my own set up. Celebrations on Saturday were a little subdued compared to previous years because we needed to be up early on Sunday morning to travel to the Flying Legends Air Display at Duxford. The display did not disappoint, highlights included a 9 Spifire take off that sounded fantastic, a B17 and of course 'The Reds'. It was a long day but we saw some spectacular aircraft. Our numbers were slightly down on previous years due to a variety of personal circumstances but rest assured all members were 'bitched' (err I mean talked) about, in absentia, with fondness and ahope that in future years we will see them again. Come and fly with us! SHREK Squadron is an English speaking UK based squadron formed in1998. Flying together for mutual support and training. Our Squadron fly and operate most DCS modules, several nights each week and an official gathering of members is every Tuesday night. Out of control after repair
Trubshaw replied to BitMaster's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
No idea really but did you check what your control surfaces were doing? Could be they were off set?
