Well nothing says they can't be working on BOTH the Zero and the Corsair but maybe don't know which one will be finalized first.. So they show both of them and confuse the hell out of all of us... Still NO CLUE on a more modern plane though.. Does the Flogger have a ground radar?

So basically we should only have one type of plane because the roles are similar? Then I guess we should just shut down ED and all of the 3rd party devs since you don't want more than one type of plane... So we have A-10 let's not make ANY OTHER CAS plane. And we have (Oh crap THREE helicopters) WAY too many of those... And the MIG-21 is a FIGHTER plane so nope let's not make the F-18 or any of the MIGS either.. And lets cancel the F-14 since we have a figher plane already. Sometimes I truly wonder if folks actually READ what they type.. Quite possibly the most ridiculous thing posted on this forum...

So jumping into a $30 million airplane and cratering it into the ground repeatedly sounds much more realistic? For folks that are interested in realism, trainers make perfect sense so you can learn how to fly just like they do in real life... Once mastered, then you graduate to more sophisticated planes and then MAYBE you might have a chance of not crashing your brains out repeatedly.. I for one am a huge fan of the trainer philosophy and am looking forward to real flight training by VEAO systems.. (And maybe some other devs will follow suit) As far as which plane to buy..? I am buying them all once available in AFM... They will all fly differently and have their own character.. Kinda like asking what girl to take home.. Blonde, Brunette or Redhead.. They all look good to me... (But since I am married, all I can do is LOOK) LOL :thumbup:

There are many folks that have this hobby and do so alone.. (I am one of them) Absolutely NONE of my friends are flight simmers so an AI RIO is a MUST for me... And I would bet that the majority will fit into that column as well... Would it be BETTER to have a friend as a RIO of course.. Just not an option for many of us..

Absolutely.. Besides, some of the "errors" aren't really errors at all, they are changes made so that average Joes (and Janes) can follow what the Hell is going on.. One example was the use of the call signs rather than the plane tail numbers... Well yeah because we all have a list of tail numbers for naval aircraft printed out on a sheet of paper right? Sometimes they make changes and the DO make sense.. Otherwise half of these movies would be a total waste of time because no one would have any idea what is going on..

A fun article but I love it when folks try to discredit everything and then screw up themselves. MANY errors in this article.. (One example was the hard deck and how "Watch the Mountains" would never be stated if they were above the hard deck...) Ummmm, yes it would if the mountain was 10,000 feet or taller. Remember that those numbers are always from sea level, not from ground level... Still a fun read though..

Well yeah because a SMART pilot completely disregards the longest range weapon that the plane was specifically designed to use... And would rather "Get in close" with a huge plane that wasn't designed for a knife fight.. Umm, yeah OK.. :doh:

The only problem with that statement is that you have no idea how far along they are with this project so their timeframe just may be possible..

I thought the F-14 had an OPTICAL tracking system that made it impossible to detect when a plane was being tracked.. (And becasue the enemy had no idea it was being tracked, it was a complete surprise when the Phoenix took them down.. At least the FIRST one anyway)

PHOENIX MISSILE... Pretty much says it all.. Only plane that could use it so one of the most unique modern (OK sort of) warplane out there.. EDIT: And yes they were taken down during the IRAN-IRAQ war, but they had IRANIAN pilots in them.. NUFF said there too.. You can hand me the keys to a Formula 1 car (I know they don't have keys but bear with the metaphor please) but that doesn't mean I will be contending for titles...

While visually that may be true as far as a posted screenshot goes, IN-GAME it may actually make more of a difference than you may imagine. The artwork / objects / textures etc. will be the same and should not show much difference, but the fact that DIRECT X11 will be utilized will definitely make a difference in effects, water, how the system handles multiple objects, particle effects etc... So you may not see much difference in a screen shot, it may very well run a LOT better, possibly allowing you to run higher settings with the same equipment.. (I am personally hoping for better performance close to the ground for my helicopters...) All guesses simply based on the advantages of using DIRECT X11... We may be mildly surprised at EDGE and the caucuses... :thumbup:

Even if they DO wait until the very last SECOND, that would still mean they are on time... So how about everyone stop whining and at least not whine unless they MISS the date... GOD GOD even if they make a date we still have to listen to whining that isn't even justified... Give it a rest
