  2. Using AGM-65F today, I'm getting 10 nm lock @ 15000', which is slightly better than before. So I guess nothing's changed with the DMT/Mav F launch and missile itself. ..
  3. They can also attack ships and land targets, whilst swimming. ..

    TPod Slewing

I never use the POD, prefering the unique DMT, but that was a nice straightforward explanation and easy to understand. ..
  5. That 1996 load out on Harrier 163675, was my inspiration for "Operation Rota Freedom", a mission I created for that set up. A very ficticious Marianas operation, Destroy the Radar and defences on top of the mountain, with Harriers fron NW Field Guam and A 10's from N Field Tinian, attacking tanks on the airport, with a genuine Harrier combo, 2 AGM 65F, 2 AGM 122, and 2 AIM 9M. ..
  6. The Chinese have already taken over Rota Island. Marines have been landed and are attacking the Airport and forces to the west of the island. Harriers from North West Field are in support. A10's from Guam are attacking tanks at the airport. A Chinese task force is on its way from the West. An American force is on its way from the East. And so on. Great map and ideal for Combined Arms. ..
  7. Wow! Loft Bombing is still in the mix. That was a surprise. ..
  8. This shows a full forward nozzle approach, something I hadn't thought of trying. ..
  9. Do you mean this sort of thing, where I'm using the wingspan adjuster to get Aim Off. This preserves the Centre Pip and will give an aiming point on the ground ahead of the target. It can also be used for Low Level Bombing. I don't think you need an AOP in MPC. I'm using the hatch combing to roll in for the initial dive angle, which increases as the target moves backwards and then keep the pip on the target. I didn't like MPC when I first tried it in 2015 and I still don't, but fast Pop Up is great fun. ..
  10. Aim Off Point. You can do this with geometric equations, but it's not required here. So I guess you mean how do you roll in to achieve the required initial dive angle TBC. ..
  11. I'm a big fan of chucking Iron Bombs. They're not 100% accurate, so you have to work at it. This keeps it interesting. Hitting a small target from a great height is difficult and DCS bombs have poor splash damage and maybe not even the correct trajectory. Bunyaps video is spot on and you can see why he didn't hit the target and he knew where it was going to land. The technique is right, but the dive angle wasn't quite right and the pip wasn't on the centre at the release. He also made a small adjustment for aim off. Therefore if those parameters are met, then close to the centre is best you can expect. Only practice will achieve this as it's hard to get right. I did all of my Sabre stuff 5 years ago, mostly with the very enjoyable Low Level/Pop Up bombing and Auto bombing. The steep dives, 60 deg WW2 style, should be the most accurate, but I found it hard to do. Pretty much all my stuff was done at about 40 deg or less, as it's easier to control the approach. You can pretty much guarantee getting the line right, but over or undershoot is going to be more likely. I'm going to give it a try, as I can't remember how I did it back then. (OK, it's coming back). Regards..
  12. Update: Installed and working OK. I had pressed the update button without checking the drive path, which should have been "I" instead of "C". 100gb free space, reduced the SSD to red 16gb and the OB update ran aground on The Channel and was therefore incomplete. I immediately transferred the whole file to "I" without realising it had a bit missing. All good now. ..
  13. OK I think that's done it. I now have the option to download. I will try it later. Thanks for your help. ..
  14. The aircraft shown have all been re installed because they are listed as expected in the manager. The Channel is not listed and therefore cannot be installed. I've owned it since it came out and it worked perfectly well before the update. It is my most used map. It is listed in the shop as owned. I have only one account. Will a OB re install work? .. dcs.log
  15. Hello. There are no zip logs from this year in that file, only ones from 2020. Channel is not listed in the Module Manager, or in the Opening Page bottom line bar. ..
  16. I mistakenly updated OB into the wrong drive, C, so I moved the whole folder into the correct drive, I. Everything is there except Channel Map. There is no option to instal, in the manager and OB Repair did nothing. How do I get it back? Thanks. ..
  17. The D button is in front of the slider. Map it to "W". This operates the lever on the stick. Hold the stick back, twist left, press D for operation of the left brake. Centre for operation of both brakes, right for right brake. Juggle low power to keep moving. Practice on some open field, till you get the method sorted. It will eventually come to you. It's no more difficult than with pedals, but pedals are much more immersive. Good luck. ..
  18. I used the X-52 twist on the stick with the Spitfire, for about 2 years before I bought pedals, but I've had this stick for a long time and was very use to it. There's no doubt you're going to find it difficult, but it can be done. The Spit doesn't have pedal brakes. It has differetial air brakes, with a lever on the stick. I map the D button on the throttle for brakes, with or without pedals. Here's a vid from 2016. ..
  19. You can change the trains by altering the date in the editor. ..
  20. You use the magnetic compass, to set up the gyro compass before flight, then check the gyro during flight to see if there has been any drift, especially after heavy manoeuvering. Adjust the gyro with the knob underneath. Straight and level, constant speed flight is required for this. ..
  21. If you only want it for navigation, then the gyro compass on the panel is the one to use. ..
  22. Well bugger me! Biggin is here, with the new 2.7 update. Eastchurch aswell. Nice to see these 2 important airfields added. Plus Headcorn. Excellent! ..
  23. There is also Merville Calonne and Abbeville, suitable for jets. High Halden, (Sabre). ..
