It is insane indeed, that is why I am surprised. I can manage 38fps and sometines 40ish fps in the sky.

I have noticed similar thing with my O+. I am surprised using a steam supersampling of 250%, dcs PD of 1.0, high graphics setting and still able to play stable in dcs. Downside is I have to put off MSAA with shimmering from far object. I am only using an i5 7600k, gtx 1060g and SSD. The experience has be good with dcs but not without stuttering when playing America Truck simulator on a 250% supersampling.

Way to go. It is hard for me to see some say vr is not there yet and they are going back to 2d screen. Aparently the resolution in 2d is better but vr immersion is unsurpassed in my opinion.

Thanks. Welcome back and happy new year. -
Be rest assured that running dcs repair will not affect your your keymapping in anyway. Best of luck.

A good Christmas gift you have got for yourself there. Welcome and enjoy the virtual world dcs has got to offer. [emoji1635] -
I had the Saitek X52 before but got me the 16000M throttle and the warthog flightstick. The generic buttons and switches on the X52 got boring and this two combination are doing very well for all the modules I have. You can get the warthog stick alone. Plan is to get the warthog throttle some days but very okay with my setup now.

Announcement - new A-10C DLC training campaign
Eaglewings replied to baltic_dragon's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I get the mission you are talking about now. Presently on it and not easy so far. Man Reversion on seems make the aircraft wobbles unconttollably. Have flew the mission twice now and in the first I cannot deploy my speedbreak to get to landing speed, moreso that airfield is rather too short. Second mission did not trigger the part where I am instructed to shutdown the engines and I strayed in military zone while waiting for that to happen. Looks like I would just eject next time since I am given that route. -
It was a two days test freebie from ED/Heatblur for people to have a ride and see how it is and buy it if they like it. The freebie is over now.

Announcement - new A-10C DLC training campaign
Eaglewings replied to baltic_dragon's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Oh the MAN REVERSION would be interesting to try. Was the instruction to land on an abandoned airfield? In my case I made it back to Batumi airbase where I got my mostly Q minus rating. Perhaps the mission have since been updated. The Baltic Training mission would really be amazingly detailed. I flew the first mission demo, took almost one hours to get system setup and bird rolling. Happy this is done for the NTTR map and wish Ed's ATC upgrade for the airfield is ready so one can do proper atc approach and departure procedure mission. -
That is a huge lighting difference. The A-10C warthog was parked in the hangar for a long time so difficult for me to compare from memory of previous cockpit. On my monitor, the cockpit is indeed dark but in vr, not as dark. Let's hope when the weathering works begins as planned, cockpit lighting would be improved.

Announcement - new A-10C DLC training campaign
Eaglewings replied to baltic_dragon's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I am not sure of the hydraulic pressure bug. When I put off my right engine as instructed, my aircraft became lopsided. I thought this was normal, had to use lots of roll trim to compensate to land successfully. Watched Recon Stewart video of same mission and noticed the APU & APU gen was switched on after right engine turned off. This may have helped in him getting a relatively stable landing. This would be an absolutely good time to have Baltic training mission for the A-10C released. Hoping we could get a sniff of what the state is with that campaign. -
Announcement - new A-10C DLC training campaign

Maple basic flight training for A-10C has been putting me on the edge each time I am to get my flight rating. It has been a good learning campaign. Doing the Startup, emergency landing, flying traffic pattern and precision landing has been very rewarding. Long absence from the A-10C made passing startup mission and proper shutdown very frustrating. The FE was very unforgiving but I got the whole process memorized now without using a displayed checklist. -
Speaking for myself here, I think they left us enough to play with till the holidays are over.

I really wish the SDE things is a software selectable feature rather than a fixed hardware feature. Like to see how the odyssey headset will look without the soft film-like covering in my view. The colors and black level are rich and vibrant though.

That is interesting. It made a lot of useful difference especially in vr.

Cool new and awesome cockpit...buuutttt......
Eaglewings replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
That is true. One can get around the issue by moving the camera view with Rcltr+Rshift+number keyboard to see the hidden switch and buttons. -

There is no butttttttttt about the new A-10C cockpit in vr from my end. Every dail, gauges, switches, MFDs just pops. Clarity and readibility is top notch. Got me learning the bird again. -
The odyssey + has been rock solid for me. Having had any major issue. I have not used any other beside the O+, just been following users experience. It looks like I'll be holding on the O+ untill another major upgrade in vr headset is introduced.
