Fixes to DYK (precision) mode will be included with next update of the Viggen
-
I’ve had a look at the TOSS-bombing inaccuracies and improved it somewhat (pending next DCS-update) BUT it is very tricky to get perfect. I’m simulating a update-cycle speed for the CK that while probably correct and still kind of fast it’s still slow for calculating the ballistics when doing TOSS-deliveries or flying really fast. All sensors in the Viggen also has small lags and inaccuracies which add up. You can see the update-rate of the CK if you slow down the time and watch the HUD. I’m trying a lot of trickery to anticipate the next cycle but it will always be a little off unless the frequency is increased or sensor accuracy is improved. Bombing-accuracy should be better if you don’t fly too fast or pull too much G, at least in theory.

2nd BK90 MJ2 not firing (MJ1 and Mix are ok)

Found the issue and fix incoming! Thanks for the reports! -
Hi Mbot! Thanks for the reports! The very last one there is probably this issue don’t you think? NAV Landing mode switches from glide slope to horizontal if below glide slope https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_fid=74365&share_tid=197429&url=https%3A%2F%2Fforums%2Eeagle%2Eru%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D197429&share_type=t

Can't select Waypoint B9 Guys! I finally gotten around to looking at this and I might have found the issue. The fix will be included with next release I hope. Thanks for the reports!

RBS15 The hang up issue as you describe it is unfortunately unfixable for us third parties as far as I can tell. When turning more than 90 degrees our current solution either rolls over and crash or loses track of the laser point that we use to steer it. I think I changed the warning to reflect this instead of the real world 180 degrees. I have also read somewhere that the settings in TAKT for both Rb15 and Bk90 doesn’t seem to have any effect. I will have to take a look. Be aware though that you need to set the STD-PREP switch to PREP (prepared) for it to actually load the settings or it will use a default (standard) setting for targeting mode/altitude etc.

** AJS-37 Changelog / Update Master List **

Yes and one new fix to the RWR where sometimes it wouldn’t stop beeping even though the emitter turned off its radar/died -
Viggen bugtracker site The issue is I don’t have time to answer all reports here. I have read every single report here but want to answer with something more meaningful than that I only read it. Please rest assure that we read everything you write about the Viggen both here and on Hoggit. Edit: Guys, as someone who also uses software and that sometimes find bugs that I might report to the developer I 100% understand that you at least want someone to acknowledge that the report was not sent into a black void. I am sorry that I haven’t kept up to all your very good reports. Still, please keep them coming!

I prefer using a “general problems”-forum as this instead of a bug tracker. You can still search this forum and a bug tracker doesn’t guarantee the same issue is reported twice. Duplicate reports is not as big an issue as no reports at all. I think the bar is a lot lower to report an issue in a forum where everyone already have an account and I also believe people don’t feel they have to be 110% sure it’s a bug and not user error when writing here as opposed to a “bug”-tracker. I’d rather have many false positive reports than people having real issues but we are unable to fix them because we don’t know about them.

Game mode? There is a easy avionics and easy flight model mode. Have you tried it? Edit: It’s been a long while since I created it but Easy avionics-mode essentially does the switchology for you. There is a Navigation, Ground attack (CCIP) and Air-to-air mode, IIRC, very similar to FC3 planes. The Easy Flightmodel adds a alpha limiter to the SPAK-system. Don’t know if this is what you are asking for.

** AJS-37 Changelog / Update Master List **
RagnarDa replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
There was a fix to TILS so that it now leads to a touchdown position 150m in from the runway end, and the Lysbomb should now release + show FÄLLD LAST. -
U22/A Question/Problem To engage the U22/A into active mode you need to set the left switch into B through E otherwise it is just listening. There are 15 different types of broadcasting modes by selecting from B/F to E/K. The MOTVERK light indicates that the U22, U22/A and KB-pod is broadcasting or releasing chaff/flares. But in your case, as you’ve selected a passive listening mode it just indicates when the U22/A would have broadcasted if it was active. The “KB-H/KA SL” indicates in your case that the U22/A was warming up (it needs 3 minutes warm-up). Otherwise it indicates out of countermeasure or that the U22 (not /A) is out of cooling fluid (after 40 minutes). To pre-warm the U22/A set it to A/F. To pre-warm the U22 set the left switch to B. Be aware that operating the U22 is different from U22/A as setting it to “A” is the active mode on the U22 for example.

Fidelity of flight model? It depends on what you consider advanced or complex. Compared to the other systems in the Viggen, and foremost the CK37, I guess the SPAK/SA06-system is simple. It doesn’t have some of the bells and whistles of more modern systems either. It’s not a Fly-By-Wire system in the sense that there is a mechanical linkage to the control surfaces to the pilots stick. But it also has a force sensing system in the stick which translates pilot input to linear G-per-force and constant roll rate which I guess would make it an “almost”-FBW... I guess the designers wasn’t ready to fully trust electronics at that point in time (at least not Swedish designers, the F-16 was on the drawing board at that time too).

Can anyone confirm that the keybinds is not in the latest 1.5.7 release? You should for example be able to bind a lot of stuff to the mouse now.
-
Two steps forward, one step back! Frustrating indeed! I think I found the problem and applied a fix. Stupid mistake when doing last-minute changes, sorry about that. Because the change was so recent there is a chance you can still use the illumination bombs in latest update for DCS 2.1 instead.

There are fixes to the mission time-keeping in CK37 in the latest update to 1.5.7. Forgot to mention that. -

The build was uploaded to ED this wednsday night, so it might have missed the time-window to be in ED's build. If that is the case I think it might still be parts of the changes that made it in. Sorry about that. -

** AJS-37 Changelog / Update Master List ** I’ve forgot to mention I’ve fixed an issue where if you had a flame-out after a compressor stall/reversed flow and the automatic relight mechanism relit the flame it would sometimes (often) not fully light the flame so the engine would not produce enough trust, and this wouldn’t be possible to recover from. -
This has been fixed and will be included in the next patch (unsure about Steam-release). Thanks for the report!
-
The missing bindings for different devices will be included in the next patch. Not sure it will be in the Steam release though.
-
The next patch will fix this. It may or may not be in the Steam-release though.

Hmm... I checked and the alignment time for the ADI is about 30 sec which is the same as for the CK so if you have time to load the cartridge it should have time to align itself. Do you experience this after respawning, possibly after receiving battle damage?
-
Do you allow time for the ADI to align? When it is starting up it is using a gravity sensor to align itself with the ground. If the airplane is accelerating in any direction during this alignment (like rolling on the taxiway) the movement will be interpreted as gravity. For example if you are speeding up forward the ADI will align itself so the indicated horizon will be lower than the real horizon.
