  1. As a lover of both the RAZBAM Mirage 2000C and the LS MiG-21, I have to say I would love for this functionality to be across the two. Honestly, I think all DCS aircraft should have the ability to drop a sun visor. 8)
  2. Thanks guys! I was hoping for a way in the in-game config for flying on a server but I'll definitely have doors off on my personal missions.
  3. Thanks a ton, Frederf! That was a lot of information that I wasn't aware of. Of course, it is in the manual but I may or may not have completely forgotten about it :music_whistling:
  4. That would be a waste of the Motherland's ruble! I'm pretty sure you aren't even supposed to drop your tanks unless you absolutely have to, either.
  5. On a vaguely related question, is it possible to have the rear doors off now? The first screenshot on Belsimtek's website implies that they can be removed for flying helicopters. http://www.belsimtek.com/download/screenshots/70/
  6. First two digits: Mode 1 – provides 2-digit octal mission code, military only. Last four digits: Mode 3 - provides a 4-digit octal identification code for the aircraft, assigned by the air traffic controller, military and civilian use. I haven't the opportunity to play the campaign yet but hearing that you've used these is a nice touch of realism.
  7. Not everyone can be pleased. Zeus has done quite a lot of listening in this thread and adjusted as he sees fit. For that quality, I still hold RAZBAM with the highest regard in third-party developers. The fact that he responds quickly is encouraging. The constant nit-picking only discourages him from doing so.
  8. I thought that server rotated between F-5/MiG-21 and F-86/MiG-15.
  9. With this coming out, has anyone heard of an AI KC-130 being added to DCS anywhere?
  10. Wonderful documentary, thanks for sharing!
  11. Also, make sure you're set to K2 on the gun mode selector on the PCA.
  12. I've used the yardstick in Multiplayer and it is very handy for this specific reason. I find DCS very difficult to spot contacts visually so my wingman and I have used the TACAN to stay relatively close to each other in support.
  13. Definitely a case of right place, right time. We spent a few evenings trying to get Simple Radio working, getting in and getting a feel of the radio chatter, and objective needs. Finally had a night where we were able to infill a KUB unit a couple days ago. Last night was just a Thursday excuse to fly Hips. Heck, I wasn't even sure we'd make it to the objective in time. There is still a lot of stuff we have to learn about Blue Flag, but we're definitely hungry for more. Thank you to the Red team fighters and helo pilots that dos all the heavy lifting previous to last night's sortie. Great talk on in those final moments to get Trev's troops to the right place. Also, a great big thanks to the Buddyspike community for putting up this campaign; objective driven missions and teamwork is where we tend to find the most enjoyment out of any flight sim.
  14. Two sexy Hip pilots right there!
  15. And a toilet
  16. CH-53s and 47s, yes, yes, and HECK YES! Still holding out hope for an MH-60, too :)

    SHIPS

I also voted yes. I would definitely buy something high-fidelity to fly the AV-8B off of.
  18. Ah, gotcha! That could very well be the case, indeed.
  19. We thought that was the case as well because the overlay showed the sliders to the extreme left. We looked at the individual dials on the left horizontal panel and they appeared to be turned all the way to the right (full up) and rotated them left/right without the overlay moving (UHF and FM). In hindsight, they could have all been pulled up (muted) in game, I'll have to check this again as soon as I get the chance.
  20. Absolutely correct! Thank you for such a quick answer.
  21. Getting three red dots and Unknown radios after connecting to Buddyspike's SRS server (20+ other clients) and then spawning into a MiG-21 or Mirage 2000C. SRS version 1.2.8.0 OS: Windows 10 (non-anniversary build 1511) Scripts folder screen shot attached. export.lua: clientlog.txt:
  22. I've also had IC failures due to resizing/moving in AlaskanGrizzly's KneeboardBuilder v1.6.7.9. It irks me because I'd rather have the thing in the middle so I can see the switches to the left and right. Note: The IC looks green until I spawn into the aircraft and it kicks me and the IC icon is red. Time to repair now after that little experiment.
  23. Please add JG-1_Somnus to the JG-1 squadron registration.

    LS code

"L2P" means "Learn to play." Asking everyone to stop discussing their opinions on a public forum is futile because the very definition of forum means a place for people to do just that.

    LS code

This or kneeboard settings with the engine off and airspeed <40kias. The mission designer is ultimately the one to blame but those two are the most realistic options.
